You're not going to get a better breakfast in the Outerbanks. The line forming before they open is a testament to the quality of the food. Luckily the line moved pretty fast and they had a ton of seating open. I was so amazed by the menu, they had so many unique options that all sounded delicious. Delicious, MASSIVE biscuit sandwiches? Yes please. This place is a gem in Duck that we were lucky enough to try on our way in to Corolla for the week. There was definitely a line but it moved quick, and service was fast and friendly. I got the Southern biscuit with fried green tomatoes and pimento, and it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. My wife got the bacon egg avocado and cheese biscuit and also loved it. Coffee was perfectly good as well. We ate outside and food was delivered quickly. I will be craving these biscuits all year. read more

If you're in Duck, NC come and grab a cup of great coffee and some delicious food. Went here a few times during my stay in Duck, NC. I had the Huevos Rancheros Burrito and the chimichurri steak omelette and both were amazing. When you order, they'll give you a number to put on your table for the food. Drinks are placed by the coffee bar. The staff is young and friendly. Great service. The place is popular, so depending on the time you may have to stand in line. Once you walk inside, it's an open place with seating inside and outside. There is also a bathroom available. A must try!!! read more

Fabulous brunch spot! Took about 20 minutes to order and another 20 to get our food. There was an awesome outdoor mimosa and other beverages at a bar area outside. This made the wait more enjoyable. It had a tamarind aioli that should have helped cut the richness but there was so little of it I asked for a lemon slice to squeeze on it which somehow they had no lemon? I ended up adding some Texas Pete' s hot sauce and that helped a lot. The parfait was not remotely a parfait. It was a very genius heap of yogurt with a small mountain of yummy granola and a ton of strawberries and blueberries. Nice drizzle of honey over the top as well. I don't know why it's called a parfait because it's a big ol' plate of food. Not a stacked item in a glass. Regardless, very good! Very solid third wave coffee spot in obx. We stop in at least once every year we visit. Counter culture beans in house. I usually just go for a black cold brew, which is very potent, but they have tons of seasonal flavors and syrups to make your perfect drink. Ambiance and location are very nice but 18 dollars for a sausage biscuit and a bottled water? It's big enough for 2 people but still.

First of all, these are the best biscuits in the world, full stop. Second, my partner and I always come here when we visit Duck, but they've recently upped their chicken biscuit game as my partner claims they have surpassed chick fil an and all other competitors. Thick, juicy, and deliciously seasoned with honey. Bonus points for the grilled biscuit to go. I'm a vegetarian and love the huevos rancheros burrito. Even when they're swamped in there, service is always on point. Excellent quality counterculture coffee as well. Don't miss it! read more

We were looking forward to having breakfast here, but what a disappointment. The French toast is pricey at $17, but there's enough for two. However, the bread is so thick that the egg doesn't soak in like it should leaving most of it dry. The blueberry compote doesn't do much to help. No syrup served with it either. You have to find the condiment table and get it yourself. Asked for our muffin to be toasted. It had been microwaved instead. Coffee, French toast and blueberry muffin cost us $33. (and the muffin went into the garbage). So disappointed. read more

Terrible service. Terrible food. Terrible price. Waited 50 minutes for 6 biscuits and 4 coffees that you served yourself. Biscuit and its components were cold, soggy and falling apart. After 40 minutes of no communication even though their website asks for email and phone number. I asked the barista if the coffee and food came together or separate with an online order and she said the coffee comes out first. Then I look off to side of the counter and there sat my iced coffee and two empty cups for DIY coffee. After grabbing the coffee I went back to the counter and asked the barista about the food. She said they call your name out. Stood outside the kitchen section for another 10 minutes before someone finally asked if I had a to-go order. Received the cold food with the to-go bag covered in honey or syrup. Will not be returning for over $120 with tip for cold food and poor service. read more

I had their bacon, egg, and cheese and my wife had bacon, egg, fired green tomatoes, and pimento cheese and they were both delish. Coffee was meh. This is a cute, but tucked away coffee shop in Duck. There is plenty of seating and a nice area to be outside as well. I ordered my usual latte and unfortunately, it wasn't good. First, it was way, and I mean way too hot; we had to let it sit for quite a while to even sip it. The barista did not texture the milk well either, as it had too much foam. They only use paper cups and it was too hot to even handle with a wrap around the cup. The flavor was burnt because of this and overall, not a great drink. The atmosphere is good and it has potential to be a great spot. They have good equipment (La Marzocco) and beans. I believe that our barista was just not putting in much effort and/or needs (much) more training. They do sell merch and have breakfast foods but alas, this rating is based on the coffee. I would say that perhaps it was just an off day and with a different barista there might be a better outcome. But, based on this one experience, it is a miss. read more

This delightful place is located in the back side of Scarborough Faire in Duck. They have nice indoor dining and a lovely outdoor patio with funky decor. I can't speak for the coffee but the biscuits are wow! These biscuits are huge. You can get them with honey or with eggs cheese bacon or sausage. They pile on the eggs and the bacon is thick cut. They will deliver to your table. A pleasant way to start your day. They are not open on Mondays. read more

I came here with my mom around 12:15PM on a Tuesday after shopping around for a bit. It was pretty empty when we came which was great because there was a long line out the door from opening to around 11AM. I got the classic breakfast and my mom ordered the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. I was a big fan of the outer portions of the giant biscuit that had the honey on top but am more of a flaky biscuit fan than a fluffy one. I ordered the eggs over medium but they were definitely over easy and the chicken sausage was also dry. What a cute spot for breakfast! We stopped before heading home from the beach and we were very pleased. They currently have you order at the window. They have baked goods, biscuits, egg sandwiches, coffee, and bottled drinks. The crumb cake and the huge blueberry muffins were fantastic. I'm from NY and the crumb cake reminded me of the kind you can get back home with a large crumb layer. Yum. The biscuit egg sandwiches were HUGE and so yummy. We got the biscuits and honey as well as the Southern Comfort biscuit. The Southeen biscuit came with pimento cheese, fried green tomato, egg, and bacon. For mine I got my egg over hard as I believe in that sandwich came runny. I also took off the bacon. Still plenty of food and absolutely delicious. My friend ordered as is and it looked amazing too. The biscuits were the size of my hand. We definitely had to use a fork and knife to eat! They have outdoor seating under the trees and under the balconies attached to the surrounding shops.
