This place is great!! I'm in Nags Head for a family reunion with my wife and we've been here almost every night. The owner and staff are super friendly and they had a great variety of ice cream. My wife is not usually a person who would go for a traditional vanilla flavor but she said it's the best she's ever had and now she's hooked. It's definitely a must go when you are in town read more

The ice cream and homemade cookies are to die for!! Bonus points if you're pregnant, it really hits the spot haha!! We will be back here everytime we are in the area. The restrooms and food area were so clean and inviting. Not sure if the long line was because of the stormy weather or bc the neighboring ice cream place was out of business, but the wait was very long. There were 3 staff members working hard and fast and eventually a 4th came to assist, which helped. The place smelled amazing bc the cookies were being baked. Staff was very nice and patient with us and our children. The ice cream selection was limited, but the actual ice cream was very good. We didn't get any cookies but if they taste as good as they smell we missed out!! read more

It's just not fair that the ice cream is great and so are the cookies. I didn't want a cookie Sundae, but I was left with no choice. And it did not disappoint. While visiting, we visited 3 times and loved each visit. The staff is great, facilities are clean and I gained 5 ponds on vacation for which they are partially responsible. Thumbs up x 2!! read more

We got a sundae which is an excellent deal. In addition to having amazing cookies, they also have delicious ice cream. I got the chocolate chip espresso and cookies and cream ice cream as the scoops. Both were fantastic. The cookies and cream flavor stood out though since it appears to be home made. The Oreo in the ice cream was soft and plentiful. So good. Can't wait to come back. read more

My daughter brought me here knowing my love of ice cream. Cookies and Cream did not disappoint. I sampled the lemon crunch and black raspberry before deciding on butter pecan. Rich and creamy with large chunks of pecans, I got two scoops in a cup. My daughter also got butter pecan, in a freshly made waffle cone. Her boyfriend had the cookies and cream, also in a giant waffle cone. Open for just a few months but well on their way to be a staple in South Nags Head. Open Monday thru Saturday 2:00 till 10:30 pm I would definitely recommend them for hard ice cream, shakes, milk in glass bottles and home made cookies. read more

So first time was the ice cream sandwich. $8.50 for a very thin ice cream sandwich. I had the original, cookies were good. Ice cream was crystallized and seemed to be closer to sorbet or milk ice than it was to ice cream. Ice cream is not supposed to crunch. Second was the soft serve shop. Shop was nice. That staff were ok. They were more concerned with discussing how to handle HR issues than explaining how your expected to buy your ice cream. It's sold by the ounce. It's self serve. I got the two " gelato" flavors, sweet cream and chocolate fudge popsicle. I got about a half a cup with no toppings...$9. Maybe 6 fluid ounces. They charge $ .70 an ounce by weight I guess? If it was amazing, no problem. The issue is that it wasn't amazing. It WASN'T and ISN'T gelato they are selling!!! What makes gelato.... Gelato??? Well different from ice cream or custard it's the texture and fat content and presence of eggs. Gelato should be very dense and silky smooth. What they are selling as gelato is very likely just a very cheap low fat ice cream or maybe some combination of low fat ice cream and yogurt. It was worse than the cheap soft serve ice cream that Chinese buffets offer. I will not shop here again. I recommend you don't either. It baffles me they have the reviews they have but businesses can buy reviews now so maybe that's it. Instead I recommend strongly American pie ice cream ( or pizza was good too ), kill devils custard and fries OR and I'm including it last because it's expensive and they are cheap with serving sizes for the price but Scoops is good quality ice cream. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I wish I knew before loosing nearly $20 on terrible ice cream.

Went here last summer while on vacation with my family. I loved it! The ice cream is so nice a rich and creamy, the cookies were fantastic. The cookies were fresh out of the oven and were some of the best cookies i've ever had. I had a Combine with Cookie Dough ice cream with a chocolate chip cookie mixed in, and it was heavenly!!! It's like a milkshake but the crunchy bits of the cookie make it sooooo good! This place is new and super clean. I can't wait to go again. read more

There was a subtle amaretto flavoring, but a big cherry in my scoop had plenty of the amaretto flavoring. It was an interesting flavor that was satisfying. I also tried the brownie wave. I usually do not like brownie pieces in ice cream, but I did enjoy this one. Without the brownie pieces, it was just a light chocolate flavor. Will I go back? Yes.
