We love Duck Donuts! Everyone working there is always nice and donuts are always delicious! I have to try to stay away from this place because it calls my name! I usually don't give much considerations for yelp because people are fickle and moody, but these donuts are worth the experience! SO YUMMY!! Enjoy!! read more

Cool place to bring kids. You can custom order your doughnuts and you get to see them make it right in front of you. The doughnuts travel the conveyer belt! read more

23 mins for a breakfast sandwich? This is a joke of a place! Got a tee time in 10 mins

First time to this Duck Donuts and my experience was not pleasant. I walk in about half an hour before closing and I walk up to the counter and me and my friend are looking at the book to see what kind of donuts we want. While this is going on "Logan" the cashier doesn't greet us he just starts punching in what we are saying so I had to tell him to hold off because we were just browsing through the book real quick. It was my friends first time and she wasn't sure what she wanted. There was no one behind us so it's not like we were holding up the line. Anyways..we finally choose our donuts and I take a $50 out to pay and he charges us and then says oh we don't accept $50 bills so I look at him like okayyy this is my only type of payment as of right now and he says well let me cancel your order and throws the $50 back and whole time I'm thinking he's going to find a solution to the fact that I only had a $50 bill and the he just blank stared at us like "oh well" and I was like well ? And he just says we don't accept $50 bills and points to some small ass sign at the next cash register like how the hell am I suppose to know. Anyways I finally take my CC out and pay. I sit down and I'm watching him work and this dude is literally talking to his coworker like she is crap and I'm just like dude. This kid has a SERIOUS NASTY attitude problem and shouldn't be working in any type of establishment with that attitude. I know it was almost closing time and understand how frustrating it could be but that's part of the job honey. If you don't like it than quit. Anyways, donuts were bomb though. read more

Omg. The most delicious, fluffy, fresh, made to order donuts EVER. Soo many different customizable donut options (maple bacon is a favorite) and they're just to die for. Love!! read more

Fresh made to order donuts!! Customizable to all your wishes. They are just perfect. My only advice is to have them while they are warm!

Love the selection and design your own flavors. On the expensive side for a box of donuts, which is ok when you are on vaca at beach, but feels a little pricey per dozen for a routine Saturday morning. read more

The Sunday night crew is absolutely AWESOME. So friendly, quick service, and made every customer feel valued. Will definitely be here more often!!! read more

Tried Duck Donuts for the first time and they were really good when fresh. I thought it was cool to customize your own donuts with a variety of glazes and toppings. My favorite were the French Toast. I took some to work and my coworkers and boss destroyed them. I, personally, like fluffy donuts, but they were still worth trying. read more

This place always hits the spot! Fresh and warm, best donuts around. So excited to have it close by, so we can have donuts more often.

Amazing donuts- always cooked to perfection. Great local place with a room for meetings and clean bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Coffee is up to par too. I love the chocolate and coconut! read more

The donuts look good though I lost my appetite watching the girl scratch her purple hair and wipe sweat off her face in the middle of putting together our order. A change of gloves would've been nice. read more

Let it be noted on the record that I predict this business will be closed in two years.

Yellow cake donuts made to order (actually dropped in the fryer when you place the order) with a glaze, then a topping, then a drizzle. The s'more was good, as was the maple, bacon, caramel. Even better was the maple, bacon, caramel donut as a sandwich; a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. read more

I ALWAYS bring my little brother here, he loves it, but not me...because if anyone goes to any fast food place you have to think and alsoif you pay attention to how their employee care for the donut it kind of creep me out but hey its food...1. the glove employee wear being touch on everything then they goes and dip the donut. 2. some even wipe the work station with a towel who know where that towel been and it look pretty. Wet so that mean bacteria. BUT maybe that just me....... read more

In my honest opinion duck is overrated. The first time we tried them was earlier this year (June) in their Williamsburg location. They were extremely oily and just okay. The second time was this particular location a couple weeks ago. They're still oily (not as bad) and I just don't like their chocolate at all. It's actually kind of gross. Maybe if they left them in longer or had the oil a bit hotter to give the outside a slightly crispy exterior and if they would revamp their chocolate or maybe come up with an actual chocolate cake donut I'd give them a try again. The employees are extremely friendly and the turn around time is fast but if I'm being honest I believe Wegmans and WaWa offer better cake donuts. If you like a good yeast donut you should give Sugar Shack a try in Alexandria. read more

Who doesn't love Duck Donuts. Super delicious, friendly staff. Reminds me of the beach.

I love these donuts! I first found out about them because someone at work brought some. These are amazing! Highly recommend coming here. The service was ffast and they have so many options. They were so patient with me since I didn't know what I wanted when I went for the first time. read more

Overall good fresh donuts and wayyyyyyyy better than Dunkin Donuts which is not hard to beat. I'll be glad when the lines die down since it take about 10 minutes sometimes to get your order finished. I stop in pretty often to pick up a donut or two and score points on my calorie intake for the day! read more

Classically good as the flagship stores in OBX. I think the price for a single donut is slightly high, but at least it's not the frozen mess you get from Dunkin. Although the coffee could use work. Now with Dunkins coffee and Duck donuts they could be on to something. Merger? read more

PRO'S: These are super tasty little simple but filling donuts. Please do get the Maple icing with Bacon, it is simply the BEST. I did also love the peanut butter iced with peanuts a whole bunch but that maple bacon was the bomb. It's expensive and niche. Nice to do once in a while, but as with anything that fatty-moderation is key. CON'S: The coffee is disgusting. I would really recommend that the owners read this and address the coffee issue. I am from the North East where we love our coffee and donuts (that means iced coffee in the warm months and hot coffee in the cold months) together. I ordered the iced coffee and some boy (could not have been older than 15 but looked more like 12) was confused but ultimately got if for me and not sure how long it sat there but it was ROUGH. My husband took a sip and about spit it out, it was terrible. We could not drink it (and I had loaded way more half/half and sugar than should have been allowed). Tasted like gasoline. The seating is quite limited and yet, I do think it's necessary to eat these donuts HOT and immediately, so that is kinda rough while they are so new and people are lining up for it, but I suspect when the excitement wears down we can get a seat to eat (and maybe a good coffee). If so, we will be back! read more

My wife and I tried this place after I saw the reviews on Yelp. The doughnuts are fresh alright. I ordered chocolate and strawberry and my wife ordered orange and vanilla. When we got our doughnuts I sure could tell the chocolate one but the other three ALL looked like vanilla. I had to ask what was what and even one of the staff couldn't tell what was what. And the strawberry and orange TASTED like vanilla. They were very sweet, too sweet for my taste. I think I prefer dunking to this place. At Dunking Doughnuts the strawberry at least has a more strawberry taste and looks strawberry. The milk was good though! read more

Normally I am not a fan of cake donuts. However, these are hot, fresh, moist, and delicious donuts. You have your pick of glazes and toppings. I HIGHLY recommend the maple bacon flavor. It will rock your world. They make them to order so your donuts are hot!! IF you have any leftover, you can nuke them for 10 seconds and they are just as good. Seriously..try these donuts!! read more

We decided to try Duck Donuts on a whim on a Saturday afternoon. There was virtually no wait- we were in and out within four or five minutes. The donuts were very tasty, and I loved the variety of toppings. The customer service was great- everyone working there was very friendly. I have to admit they aren't the best donuts I have ever had, and I wouldn't wait more than 10 minutes if they had a long line. For a quick stop, though, it was a very tasty snack. Like others have recommended, the maple bacon donut is delicious! read more

Absolutely delicious. Duck Donuts gets a lot of hype and for the most part it is very well-deserved. Always have nice customer service here and enjoy the freshly fried donuts. Hot donuts are truly amazing. read more

We waited almost 40 minutes for our order. The people were nice who worked there but no one seemed to move very fast. There were only three or four other customers in the shop. Everyone seemed to be annoyed with the wait. I would understand if the line was out the door but no one was hardly there. I think it needs more adults working rather than teenagers. read more

I was never a donut lover until I ate these donuts. Yes they are like a little cake ..so if you love those rubbery, thick donuts then you might not love these. Anyway, I come here almost every weekend. I love that they are fresh and it tastes like a home made donut. This particular location is close to me, I have not been to any other duck stores, they have two tables there and I think they need to put one or two more tables. Staff here is very nice, every time I come here I see the kids who handle the food wear gloves like they are supposed to. Every now and then I encounter someone there who would give out a couple of free donuts some times. I am a fan! read more

Great place to get some truly customed donuts. They have a menu with good combinations if you cannot decide what sort of donut you would like. They are all made to order so it's guaranteed fresh. read more

lovely staff and delicious donuts! We go back for the donuts but always feel like it was a great experience when we leave.

This is the best donut place EVER. Michael, Tiffany, and Ashley served us and could not have been nicer. Tips go to charity, the service is impeccable, and the hospitality could not be beat! You'd be missing out if you didn't come here. read more

Friendly every time I've come in. Looks very clean. The donuts are very good, but different tasting. Hard to explain, but seems like a good breakfast item. read more

These are outstanding donuts. They are made very fresh. They have many inventive combinations and you are really free to make your own weirdo donut. The halloween themed donuts they just had were awesome. If you are the type of person who likes a really soft donut then these will be very different for you, a bit more sturdy a bit more cakey. I haven't yet experienced any long lines at this location but have only gone a couple of times. read more

Maple Bacon need I say more. If u insist, fill out your form of desired goodies. Really whatever you like u are the master donut maker here. They do what u ask fresh on the spot and whalla. Best donuts created by you without getting your hands or kitchen dirty. I only wish they were closer to me and they were 24hrs. read more

Worth the price at 1.25 each if you buy a single. Freshly made and done. I wasn't expecting them to be this good since people always seem to exaggerate when something is decent. Recommend this place! read more

If you are looking for old fashioned style donuts, this is the place to go. Their donuts are denser than your typical Dunkin Donuts and their toppings are highly customizable. Unlike Dunkin Donuts, they don't leave an aftertaste in your mouth. This is my "go to" for donuts. read more

I LOVED the donuts from Duck Donuts! I went in on Sunday morning this past Labor Day weekend, and let me tell you--it was packed. I was pretty annoyed that they only had one door, because the line was out the door and at the same time we were contesting with the people trying to leave. They made up for it in speedy, streamlined service and hot, crispy delicious donuts. We only took six home, but the Maple Bacon was fought over, as was the chocolate. They were a million steps above Dunkin Donuts, and they were just as good as our usual donut shop down in Duck, NC. Very happy :) read more

I mean they're donuts...but really good donuts. Went in twice on a Sunday and with or without a line, the experience was the same. What I love is that you can sit there and watch your individual batch of donuts being made from batter to boxing. The taste of the donut (maple bacon) is one that will have you penciling them in as your cheat meal if you're a healthy eater. read more

Oh my, these things are good. Warm, fresh, and delicious. Pricey for their size, but that's to be expected. The only knock against them, in my opinion, is the lack of topping options. Go a little crazy Duck Donuts, I want to see cereal, I want to see candy! But really it's all good, this place rocks. read more

I eat donuts once a quarter. Glad I found Duck Donuts. I like how you can customize your donuts, really makes me feel like a participant in my quarterly donut splurge. read more

I usually love this location for how fast they get me in & out but recently I've been coming more than often. Like today I'm here very early to get donuts for a special occasion there is only 3 people in here but it's taking forever to get our orders! I mostly feel like it's because this staff just lolly gags around talking & moving at a slow pace. read more
