Ducatis are a bit finicky, so I have needed to have some service done. They have always done me right, often going far beyond the minimum. Amazing experience! My wife surprised me with a new Ducati 1199 Panigale for my 40th birthday in August. She walked me into the dealership blindfolded so I wouldn't know what she had planned. As a side note, I could tell from the smell I was in a motorcycle dealership, but I had no idea it was Ducati Austin. Anyway, I was sat down in a chair and the blindfold was removed. I was presented with a scale model of a Ducati 1199 that had several balloons attached to the box. Then, I was taken towards the rear of the store where a motorcycle was sitting covered. The cover was removed to reveal my birthday present - a 2014 1199. They and my family sang "Happy Birthday" and Ducati Austin had purchased not only balloons but a case of cupcakes as an additional surprise to make my birthday even that much more special. It wasn't just the great service and the beautiful bike that made it so great; it was the fact that Ducati Austin took the extra step putting in extra time and effort to make the whole experience unbelievably special. The staff at Ducati Austin was simply amazing, especially Jason, who worked with my wife in advance to arrange everything. Jason endured many phone calls with my wife ensuring the right motorcycle was selected and prepped for my arrival. After eating a few cupcakes, Jason had everything printed and ready to go so that I spent a minimal amount of time doing mundane paperwork. If you're considering a Ducati, I would definitely recommend working with Jason. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Salesman straight up lied to my face to get me to drive 4 hours to look at this bike. What a waste. Horrible service.

I bought a Cafe Racer in March. Straight up best customer service. No pressure to buy, as I was already stalking the bike for a month. Ben Jewell the dude is an awesome salesman and I'm sure an awesome person. I went in today and he remembered me. He hooked me up with Oscar in parts, who was definitely helpful too. Oscar knew exactly what I was looking for when it came to having a unique look for my Racer. I don't usually go through a dealer for parts, but in the case of Ducati Austin I can't help it. They want you to want your bike forever and take pride in the products they offer. Oh and Vito, that dude is the real deal. He is a genuine down to earth store owner that doesn't mind talking bikes or talking about other interests. read more

Edit 2: 12/23/15 - Just got off the phone with the GM. Long story short: the day I picked up the bike was smooth (see original review) but today we uncovered some issues regarding the GAP insurance, and even more, my contract. After a very long talk with the GM, I am still confident I made the right decision with picking Ducati Austin. Speaking with Vito as he was explaining to me their mistakes and how they would be fixed, has given me more confidence in my decision to do business with them. He was up front, articulate, and explained the issues we faced and then laid out the different options that we can approach to solve them. We hung up and he let me make my own decision and never tried to influence me one way or another. I admit our transaction didn't turn out to be the smoothest, but he turned a potentially really negative experience into a really positive one with great service. I stand by everything I said and will return for my termi's and any other work I may need. All that's left is the follow through and our paper work. 5 stars for great customer service and after sales support. Edit: 12/23/15 - I specifically requested GAP insurance and was told GAP insurance was built in my deal and I just found out it wasn't. Good thing I didn't find out the hard way - give them a call if you think you have GAP to confirm. I'll keep updating this review until I figure this out. For now, removed a star. I live about 2.5 hours away in Houston. I initially called and spoke with Hunter but did most of my communication via email. Hunter was quick to reply and communication was always open and quick which i really appreciate. My goal was to get most of the ground work done via email so that I can drive up and not play the waiting game. We agreed on numbers and I drove up that Saturday. I got a test drive while they evaluated my trade in. After my bike checked out ok, I finally sat down with him and got to business. To my dismay, and the only wrinkle in an otherwise perfect sales process, I was told the manager wasn't going to honor the original trade in value. I thought it was a bait and switch and I voiced my frustration and Hunter went up to bat for me. In the end we were able to agree on our original deal and I left happy. Hunter handled an issue that could have ended badly (to no fault of his) and was able to get it all done. I'll be coming back for my full exhaust soon and ill make it a point to do any work I can up here, even though it's a mini road trip to get here - that's how much I believe in this place. Overall I've had a great experience at Ducati Austin. I'm not a big fan of the block pricing for routine service but apparently this is an issue at most dealerships. I wanted to write this review because they have a new head mechanic. In the past I wasn't impressed with the service but things seem to be different now. Rory has been genuinely interested in helping to get my bike running right when i was experiencing problems and he went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. The other employees at Ducati Austin are very friendly and passionate about the bikes. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because there is some room for improvement in the store and I feel that I'm doing them a favor by not giving them a totally rave review. I think they'd do well selling more accessories and apparel, maybe items that you can't find elsewhere, and with MotoGP coming to Austin this seems like a win win. I'm also a strong believer in offering incentives to customers to keep them coming back and establishing loyalty. I feel that with the amount of money that one spends on service that the shop should do more to incent customers to return. I don't mind paying a little extra for quality service but it would be nice to maybe come back and have my bike all clean and spiffy. This is the experience I get when I take my Mercedes to the local dealership here where I pay a little extra but I feel that it's worth it. Thanks to Rory and Ducati Austin! After talking to Vito on the phone he won me over completely. I really appreciate the time he spent with me on the phone. Although I live in Houston they have my loyalty and trust and will be the only place I'll be buying from or getting service with going forward. The store is very nice, well laid out and is well stocked with helmets, riding apparel, clothing and accessories. Furthermore, I'm all for supporting small Mom and Pop businesses which is what Ducati Austin is. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and the friendly customer service I received. I came to Ducati Austin looking to trade-in my Harley for a Monster. I was promptly greeted as I entered the doors to the store. After a test ride and much discussion over the Ducati bikes and brand, I settled on the 821. The gentlemen (who I can't recall his name, but he was just there helping out while Vito was training in Italy) and Cathy were wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable about the bikes. As someone who works in customer service, the folks at Ducati Austin go above and beyond when it comes to treating their customers right. I've never been more satisfied with the buying experience of purchasing a bike, and this is my 4th bike in as many years! That being said, my Monster is a DREAM to ride and is exactly what you would imagine from a product of Italia... Sexy. I would recommend anyone interested in riding a Ducati. Poor Ethics, Dishonest and Unprofessional Business. Ducati Austin and Dream Machines Indian Motorcycles have HORRIBLE practices. I contacted both of them separately and got appraisals over the phone from there Sales Representative. Dream Machines gave me the highest offer although I wanted Ducati to see it first. I have a nice bike and they both wanted it but that was the problem. Ducati Sales Representative went behind my back and contacted Dream Machines to express his interests. "Dream Machines rep. said that his general manager supposedly didn't want any hard feelings with Ducati since they sell Ducati bikes and need to maintain a good relationship but he honestly loved the bike and would have purchased it". Ducati bullied them out of the sell and then declined to buy it in the end if I wasn't going to sell on consignment. When I confronted Ducati's Sales Rep why he called and sabotaged Dream Machine buying my bike; he stated "I was trying to get you the best price". Yeah right, So not only are you CHEAT but you are a LIAR too. He knew exactly what he was doing. You are taking a huge risk doing business with people like that. And I can't imagine the other bad things they do to people and get away with. Selling my bike was never an issue, and I was surprised to see that type of "Shady Business" come from two dealerships.
