FLAWLESS! I can't say enough great things about this venue. We had our reception at Dubsdread about a month ago and WOW, just WOW! From the beginning of my planning to the day of the wedding, David (our coordinator at Dubs) was on top of it. First off, I truly appreciated his prompt communication when i had questions via email or phone. He was clear and precise as to where our budget was going, everything was laid out on paper for our reference. As a bride, the most frustrating thing to me from vendors was lack of communication! Not David, he was AMAZING. Fast forward to our wedding day, I was speechless when I saw how beautiful the ballroom was. Literally transformed into everything I had dreamed of. Service by the staff was A++. We had our own butler, Bob, who made sure the Bride and Groom got fed and never had an empty glass. Bob was our best friend, what a great amenity Dubsdread offers! The food was to die for, I still have guests talking about it. Even our guests that had food allergies enjoyed their meals! We went with the Gold Premium food package, a last minute upgrade that did not disappoint! Overall, we have ZERO NEGATIVE things to say about Dubsdread. The Rundown: You're paying for name, not necessarily a quality experience here. The Review: I'd never been here before, and it was rather hyped up before attending so I was looking forward to the experience. Initial impression from outside: Nice, I was surprised to find a golf course/(can you call it country?) club in the city! Once stepping inside however, it was very apparent that there was a general lack of attention to detail which I found odd. On the main screen the event going on is displayed and then you find yourself greeted by: a damaged sign advertising their Instagram. At a place that costs this much I'm really not sure how this is positive advertising? Took away from the initial experience. During the catering service the food was quite good, not anything that gave a memorable culinary experience and I'd say above average for catering but wasn't anything I would rave about. The odd part was the staff was almost TOO attentive. You'd turn around and anything at your spot belonging to the facility was removed. Did you go up to get more food? You'd return to find all the utensils gone. Eating and paused for a moment? If not, you'd likely turn and find an arm pop around you to remove your plate and any utensil around. It left a sense of feeling rushed and inconvenienced as there were no utensils clearly visible. You'd have to ask the staff who would direct you to utensils on a black tablecloth covered by a black napkin where there were a total of three sets. They were never refilled throughout the service so the running joke became asking your neighbor to guard your utensils and napkins if you'd step away otherwise risk eating with your hands. Also one of the staff you could always tell when she returned from a smoke break which was disappointing. But at least you knew a server was nearby when the odor of smoke came around and know your items might disappear if you weren't holding on to them? Overall, for the price you're paying keep in mind it's strictly for the name. The experience was subpar and I've been to better events where people spent less. This one felt very transactional - and not in a positive way. read more

More like Dubsawful. The absolute worst event management staff and owner, I've ever dealt with. Booked a surprise party for my wife and was told I had the date. The second invitations went out, I got an email telling me they'd double booked the room I requested and was offered a different venue. I couldn't find an alternative venue so grudgingly rebooked at their second site. Never spoke to the same person twice while organizing the event. Would communicate something multiple times because they never talk to each other. Food was adequate but extremely overpriced for what we got ($42 for BBQ buffet) and came with a 24% services charge which I thought went to the servers. Nope. The servers we're the only good experience out of the process. Ty and his buddies made sure we we're served. Due to a lack of communication from the event planners, I was charged an additional $840 over the $5K I'd contracted to pay. I disputed the charges but at no point was I rude or disrespectful. After going round and round with staff and being told this is how we do things, the owner, Steve Gunter got involved and was verbally abusive. He accused me of being a liar and being dishonest and threatened to send me to a collection agency for non payment. Do yourself a favor and find another venue to hold your event. There are other places in Orlando whose sole purpose is not to squeeze you for every penny. read more

Four stars because the food was yummy but not outstanding and service was average. My family and I came here on a Sunday morning as some of the first guests to arrive upon opening. We sat outside as the weather was gorgeous and we have a pretty decent view of the golf course. There was also a wedding going on and the bridal party and the bride all exited from the restaurant and then around to the ceremony location. I thought this was a little strange and like I was intruding on their wedding but they seemed okay with it. Our server's name was Sarah and she did a good job at making sure we liked everything or needed refills. There was another girl helping her out but I didn't catch her name. The brunch menu isn't huge but there was still quite a variety to choose from. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with potatoes. The quesadilla was delicious -cooked with bacon and eggs and had sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes on the side. The potatoes were just that... potatoes not hash browns or fried potatoes. I thought they were a little weird but tasted fine in some sour cream and with some added salt. Others at the table had the blueberry pancakes, the lobster omelette, the omelette with chicken tenders and sausage gravy (I forget it's actual name), and corned beef hash. Everyone seemed rather pleased with their meals. If you get the breakfast omelette with the tenders inside I highly recommend asking for the gravy on the side as it seemed like a way bigger portion than the plate that was served with it already on it. They do have a full bar-including brunchy drinks like mimosas, bloody Mary's, a martini, and their own twist of a champagne drink. I was pretty disappointed in the drinks as the Bloody Mary was very basic and the table added their own hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce to them. I absolutely disliked the martini but my mom seemed to enjoy it. And the sangria was meh but my sister-in-law was a fan. So maybe it was just me. Mimosas are my go to drink but I couldn't bring myself to pay $8 for a small flute. I'll be back in December if not before for a wedding. read more

I hosted a book singing author event at Leu Gardens on September 30. I selected Dubsdread catering. Christiana answered all of my questions promptly and David helped me work through the floor plan. Then on the day of the event the food and service was outstanding. All of my guest are still talking about how good the food was and the service was excellent. We recently had our wedding at Highland Manor, with Dubsdread Catering, and could not have been more impressed. From the first day that we visited Highland to the moment we left the staff made sure our needs were attended to and more. Bonny, our coordinator was amazing and made the whole planning process and event run smoothly. Our guests raved about the food and how attentive and nice the staff was. They know what they are doing and I highly recommend them for your next special event. Highland Manor itself was a beautiful venue in Apopka. It is an older mansion that has beautiful rooms and decor. The grounds include big trees which made a great background for our ceremony. There are so many great places to take pictures that it makes for a wedding photographers dream. All of the vendors they are partnered with were top notch and worked together so well. I attended a Gideon Pastors Appreciation Dinner that was catered by Dubsdread Catering. This event was held in their Ballroom. The Ballroom is beautiful with a 1924 stone fireplace at one end that gives the room a warm rustic feel. It also has lovely hardwood floors and an open wood beam ceiling that they wrapped with twinkle lights. The room was decorated exactly as expected and the service was impeccable. The quality and professionalism of the staff is amazing. They did not miss a single detail. Every guest received the same high level of service. The food was delicious and presented with care. We had Almond Chicken, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. The meal was prepared perfectly and enjoyed by all. The transition to coffee and dessert was flawless and did not interrupt the hosts schedule. The same can be said for the final clean-up. The entire evening was delightful. read more

My family and I had wonderful experience with Dubsdread Catering. I know that Dubsdread is very proud for their award winning catering service for weddings. My first experience with them was for my wedding reception. In the beginning, I was hesitant for hiring them because of the pricing compare to other caterers I had on my list, but Christiana and Carissa worked very hard to impress me with the other options they have and they finally won my heart LOL. I had a lot of questions since my wedding reception would be an outdoor setting in a private residence on the lake. Also I asked everything about the fees, mandatory tips involved, delivery costs and these were all answered before we signed the contract. Foods were really great, service was very nice, the servers that we had were also very personable. I had no complaint at all. My second experience with them was very recent- for my Parents in-law 50th wedding anniversary which was held at the Dubsdread ballroom. The stone fireplace and the wood beam ceiling that is decorated with tiny lights made the setting really rustic. The food were incredible and I can vouch that none of the guests were unimpressed. We had an open bar at the porch and Man they are really strict on ID'ing. Even though I'm the daughter in-law of the celebrants, there was no escape for getting ID'd. Foods were served on the time requested and the whole event went very smooth. During the speech, the mic just stopped working but one of the employees fixed it in just few seconds. Attended a wedding here recently for Brittany and Tyler and the food and service was ON POINT! However, what was the most amazing to me was the bar and bartenders. Nelson and Jordan really stood out but the female bartenders (forgive me I don't remember the names) were super nice as well! I mostly went to the outdoor bar mostly and they were super nice, ready to make any drink, and were good at conversing too!! Our company hosted an event last week with the catering and beverage service provided by Dubsdread Catering. Our firm selected this company based on review 5 different catering companies and this one had the best options for our event. The event location was in Winter Park, and food, beverages and supplies were delivered to the location several hours before the event. Except for tables and chairs previous setup, the room was a blank slate and the catering staff transformed the room(s) into desirable entertaining and reception rooms. Everyone who attended the event commented on the food as having really enjoyed, the passed apps, carving station as well as buffet items. Food was plentiful, and their were no lines for buffet and bar service, staffed by their bartenders. Our firm provided the alcoholic beverages as well as dessert. The catering staff setup the bar and the dessert table for us and really provided a wonderful atmosphere in which to enjoy our event. At the end of the event, the entire catering staff helped us pack up, pickup disposable items and remove everything from the facility. We had a great group of guys led by the captain, Tyler and all of needs were met with exception. I would highly recommend this company and I hope to use them again for a future event. read more

David and CJ were amazing. My wife and I had our wedding here and things couldn't have gone better. A lot of people have horror stories or talk about things that went wrong on their wedding day, but we have none of those and that's thanks in large part to our two wedding coordinators and this great venue they work for. We had a bit of a destination wedding having lived in Orlando before, but now living in New York, but David went above and beyond in helping make things easy for us. He took care of everything we needed in one face-to-face meeting and one final phone call. That's it. In that short amount of time he managed to get everything he needed to make our wedding flawless. CJ deserves a special shout out for being the "day of" MVP. Whether it was finding one of our readers she had never met, or holding a fan under my wife's dress to give her a bit of relief from the Florida heat, CJ came through every time we put another difficult or...interesting task on her plate. I think the best part about working with Dubsdread is their relationship with vendors. Anyone we booked, they had worked with before and knew exactly what information we needed to get to them to make things go well. We followed David's instructions and put our trust in the same vendors they trusted, and had nothing to worry about all day long. If there is one critique I have of the whole experience it would be the lighting. While the strands of lights they have in the rafters of the main reception room are beautiful - and come free with booking the venue! - they were not enough to thoroughly light the reception. We had a little uplighting around the room, but the reception overall was a little dark because of this. It didn't matter much since most of the evening was dancing and no one needs light for that, but dinner was done in fairly dark circumstances. But that's it! One very minor critique that I had to really think about in order to give a little balance to the glowing praise I have for Dubsdread, David, and CJ. If you're considering Dubsdread, definitely give it a visit. If you visit and you like it, book it. You will not regret it. My wife and I got the wedding of our dreams with zero stress because of this place and these people. I can not possibly thank them enough. read more

On October 16, 2016, my daughter Emily De Guc got married to Tucker Sutton at the BEAUTIFUL HIGHLAND MANOR! Upon our arrival, we were met by Bonny Bailey and her AMAZING staff!!! She introduced us to Gian, who was to be our private butler from preparing for the wedding and until Emily & Tucker were whisked away in the limousine at the end of the evening :) Bonny was on top of her game and any questions or concerns I had as the MOB, she answered or took care of without any further complications. Her attention to detail and working with our vendors - Tabitha of Our DJ Rocks, Kaleb & Elaine of KEJ Productions (Videographers), Cameo & Joey of Magnolia & Magpie (photographers), Party Flavors (cake bakery), Debra from Atmospheres Florals (all of the bouquets, arrangements, etc. florist) W Drapings, and Apollos Chariots (limousine service), made it so easy to just enjoy the wedding and reception!! I was asked throughout the evening by guests, how I would describe my experience. My answers were MAGICAL, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, and beyond my expectations! I am so happy that Emily & Tucker picked Dubsdread Catering as their event vendor and Highland Manor as the location for the wedding and reception. This place was amazing! As soon as i pulled up to view the Highland Manor i was sold. The outside was stunning and very rustic. The inside is just as rustic and beautiful! My husband and I live out of state and they made everything simple. The staff is so friendly and helpful no matter who I was talking to. The day of the wedding was phenomenal! My sister had her wedding reception at Leu Gardens today. I can truly say I have never seen bartenders look so unhappy and be so stubborn/rude at a private event. They were being very sexist as they were only IDing the females, yet served many underage guys without IDing but wouldn't serve the girls who were of age and didn't think to bring their ID to such a private event. They already served me twice without ID'ing,the 3rd time I went up they refused to serve me regardless of me already holding a drink. They did serve my underage cousin though... I had nothing to worry about on my wedding day, everything went very smoothly. I have gotten great compliments from my family on everything from the food, service to decorations.
