I generally make it a point to only leave positive reviews, but I cannot stay quiet about the disrespect we experienced at Levan's. The red flags started immediately. The staff was difficult to reach, and when we finally spoke, they rushed the conversation. When my fiancée politely asked them to slow down so we could take notes, the attitude shifted from impatient to openly condescending. The breaking point was when they actually laughed out loud at us while we were discussing our budget. Disrespecting a potential client is bad business; disrespectful behavior toward a groom or bride during a stressful planning process is unforgivable. A catering company should offer grace and hospitality, not mockery. I strongly advise other couples to take their business to a vendor that respects their clients regardless of the budget. read more

Duane and Brandy are AMAZING!!! They listened to what I wanted went above and prepared dishes for my Caribbean family that was not standard on the menu. The communication was excellent, Brandy answered EVERY single question and got back to me promptly. Their waitstaff was very attentive and accommodating and the food was excellent. The food was delicious and the owner personally sat with us to walk through our menu selections and logistics for the day. They are transparent and fair in their pricing - they will not nickel and dime you for extras (such as colored linens, coffee service, cake cutting, etc). My daughters wedding was last Saturday and I couldn't be more pleased with Levans. I have had the best feedback from our guests, like, "You really raised the bar", "This was the best wedding we have ever been too" and "OMG, this was the most amazing wedding! The food was great!". We asked several caterers if we could have a buffet served family style. We got every excuse in the book. When we asked Duane at Levans, he said, "Sure, we can do that". And he was amazing the whole time! We had stuffed flank steak, Teriyaki chicken w/ rum glaze, almond crusted Mahi with a Pina colada sauce, fried rice, herb roasted potatoes and asparagus. We used Levan's Catering for our wedding. They were amazing! From the beginning of the process to the cleanup of the event, everything went off without a hitch. Duane and his team went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. They were able to work within our budget but still provide an elegant buffet service and delicious food. I can't tell you how many compliments we received on the food! So yummy. Two things stand out to me more than anything: 1) Levan's Catering allowed us to drop off ALL of our decorations a few days before the wedding- they delivered everything to the reception venue. I literally mean everything- alcohol (we were able to provide our own to cut on cost), decorations, toasting flutes, etc. They stored it all and delivered it on the wedding day. Phew! 2) When my husband and I came into the venue, besides it looking absolutely perfect, we were whisked to our seats and taken care of by the head server. We never had to leave our chairs- water, champagne, dinner, whatever we wanted, she brought to us and made sure we ate! Huge relief because I was hungry. I can't say enough about Levan's. I used them for my wedding. After shopping around Orlando for a good 3 months I finally found them, they were the best in price and had the best food (they even topped Puff n' Stuff's tasting!). They were AMAZING, one of the few vendors we had no problem with whatsoever. I cannot recommend them enough, they were helpful, pleasant, flexible and most importantly, dependable. Levan's catered my reception at the Orange County Regional History Center and they were amazing. From the moment I called, completely overwhelmed with choices and demands from other locations, they patiently guided me through the process. Their food was delicious and they made sure that my husband and I actually had food to eat on our big day, which was not something I was thinking about at all! They helped me stay with in budget, provided a beautiful buffet and made excellent recommendations based on our location. Levans was very professional and all of the options they presented were reasonable , their service people were amazing and helpful, can't say enough about their service. Only one glitch was pickup the next morning was a bit confused. However, it was the worst food I have eaten from a professional caterer. It was a barbecue menu and with a group of really hungry people most of it should have been eaten. We ended up tossing all of the coleslaw except for the 1.5 cups that were tasted, all of the potato salad and most of the over cooked ribs . The cornbread was hard and did not taste fresh. I will say the cookies and brownies were really good however after the dinner no one was really wanting to try any of the catered food. I hate writing poor reviews when the service is so great but it was disappointing to have bad food at our event. Luckily we had done the snack tables and an ice cream bar ourselves so the guests had lots to snack on. read more

There were so many wonderful things to sample, I couldn't get through all the stations without waddling out the door. Levans was amazing. They were very professional and worked with us well. They decorated the linens beautifully. Duane was great. They were on time. We had multiple food tastings to make sure the food came out good and the food was great! I would definitely recommend them to the next couple. If we could give Levan's a thousand stars we would! I called Dwayne on a Wednesday asking him to cater a wedding for Sunday! We had an outdoor wedding planned and it was supposed to thunderstorm so we had to move to an indoor venue. He brought me in within the hour and had me tasting food! We picked linen, runners, napkins, chairs and sorted the menu. The staff was INCREDIBLE and the food was amazing. My guests are still talking about the mashed potato martini bar, they loved it. My wife and I just used Levan's to cater our wedding and I really could not have been more pleased. I've never had to help plan an event of this scale before, certainly never planned a wedding before and there is so much I would not have been able to do without the help of Levan's. We found them through a Google search without any direct experience with their business previously, so before we sat down with them I was under the impression that we would be meeting many catering companies before settling on one. Duane and Diana sat down to meet us early in the planning process and from being accommodating to our extreme tardiness for the meeting, to the immediate familiarity with our venue at the Winter Park Farmer's Market, and on to the great selection of food available, it rapidly became apparent that we found our caterer on the first try. We were walked through the process of planning this by Duane who has clearly done this many times. He is highly professional and he has a great staff working for him. His assistants in the office kept the wheels turning with ease. On the day of our wedding our coordinator met with his onsite staff and I can't picture them doing a better job. The day of is such a blur, but from the moment we got to the reception we were quickly given food and whisked off to our table to enjoy our dinner. I have heard from other couples how on the day of their wedding, they were hardly able to get a bite to eat. Levan's staff saw to it we had whatever we wanted when we needed it. Since food is very important to my wife and myself, it was critical that we find a caterer who could provide more than just the stereotypical wedding food. We found that with Levan's. We narrowed down our selection from a nicely broad array and then got to enjoy many samples at our face to face meeting. We were really blown away by the quality of the food. So many of our guests complimented us on our selections and we would not have gotten there without Levan's. We were largely paying for the wedding ourselves and we are certainly not rich, so price was absolutely a factor. Levan's provided us a high level or service for what I would consider to be a very competitive price. Everything we spent with them was well worth it. To anyone looking for a caterer, look to Levan's. Their staff did so much to help us transport materials, determine exactly what we would need, set up and break down; it was a relief that I didn't need to deal with any problems on the day of the wedding. Warning-- Levan's Catering is extremely disorganized and unprofessional. We came in for our scheduled tasting (that was already rescheduled because they forgot to schedule my original time and when I called a week before the confirm, they freaked and needed to make it later in the day) and we STILL were not on the schedule. I even emailed them literally 4 days ago to confirm that my mom (who had to drive four hours to be with us) was able to come. They barely apologized. "Oh! Hah! Oops! Well sit and we'll try to sell you on a bunch of stuff anyway". Meanwhile were all starving and uncomfortable, trying to leave. And on top of that, and this may just be me being angry, the dude didn't address my fiancé at all. He didn't even look at him or ask his name. I am planning my wedding from out of state, and I have had such an enjoyable experience from vendors until now. I was trying to get some final estimates for catering, and called Levan's to set up an appointment with one of their Event Coordinators. Their email specifically states to call them to set something up with the "Event Coordinator", but when I called the woman on the phone kept telling me they don't do things like other caterers, and don't have an "Event Coordinator, or Salesperson" to talk to. She kept telling me how confused I was, and how I don't understand. So, I asked her to explain to me what I needed to do next to get some concrete pricing for my event, specifically what pricing would be for a beer, wine and soda package in addition to the per person food package. She just kept telling me I was getting upset, and didn't understand how they did things, but wouldn't explain to me what to do to get to the next step. She is right, I don't understand, and I will probably never understand since she made it very easy for me to go with a different caterer. read more
