I was here as a groomsman for my friend's wedding this weekend. Overall, we had a great time at the Highland Manor. During the rehearsal, they toured us throughout the manor and walked us through the outdoor ceremony underneath the large tree. The ceremony area was picturesque and allowed for great photo opportunities for the bride and groom. They also did a large group picture for us in front of the manor which was unique. The food was delicious, especially the cram cakes. The appetizers were also great! I can't speak about the pricing though. Overall, we had a great time celebrating their wedding.

Beautiful natural light in the getting ready room.

Beautiful location and friendly staff. I was a vendor at Highland manor in December 2020. Everyone was wonderful to work with, the venue was super clean and well maintained. As a photographer I was so pleased with the aesthetics, it's a photographer and couples dream!

I'd like to take a moment to bring this venue's information up to date. The Highland Manor is now being managed by Dubsdread Catering (think Tap Room in College Park). In June 2011, after the Manor's previous tenant absconded with about 75 bride's monies, the City of Apopka approached Dubsdread to take over operations. Dubsdread agreed, helped as many brides as possible have their dream day anyway, and continues hosting all sorts of events there. The house dates back to 1903 and was moved to it's current location in 1985. There are rooms of all sizes available for private dinners or large events. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and wedding ceremonies under the massive oak are magical; there's just something dreamy about peacocks parading about you. Should you wish to contact Highland Manor or Dubsdread with any questions, or to book an event, all the information on this listing, save for the reviews, is updated and reflects the current management. http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/features_food_blog/2011/06/dubsdread-catering-interim-manager-of-apopkas-highland-manor.html Please note: the restaurant portion is not currently running, which means no Sunday brunches, for any of you folks on Yelp looking for that option.

While I have only been on the outside of the grounds, I really think this is a gorgeous venue. I met one of the managers and took a few behind the scenes photos for a movie being filmed on the property. I hope to come again sometime and photograph a wedding or event!

The property is beautiful and the people from Dubsdread are fantastic. Bonnie did an outstanding job making sure the wedding ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. I can't say enough about the attention to detail and pampering they provided to the bride, wedding party and the guests. We had many compliments on the food too (stuffed chicken boursin, almond crusted grouper and broiled filet mignon). HIGHLY recommended!

Counter-service right when you walk in, and then there's a great, big dining room full of wooden bench-esque booths. Feels like of like an outdoor picnic area. It was nice. Cozy. Service was excellent. Believe it or not, we were served by Papa Diesel himself! I only knew that, because he was standing right in front of a life-sized cardboard cutout of himself. Very surreal. The food came out very promptly, and he went and got us a whole flight of sauces to try. The food itself was pretty good. We got The Diesel Sampler (1/4 lb of slow smoked brisket, ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and wings) and a few sides, the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese, the Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, and a Sweet Roll. Brisket was not good, sorry, ribs were nice, but needed sauce, pulled pork was good, but needed sauce, sausage was the best part, Huge chunks of melty cheddar cheese inside, and the wings had a nice little smoke to them. Pretty good stuff. The mac was very gouda-y. Needed some seasoning, though. The sprouts were excellent. Huge sprouts, but cooked all the way through, nice chunks of bacon added that much needed fat. Good work here. Overall, some pretty good BBQ. You won't be disappointed with your visit here. Just make sure to sauce adequately.

Vegan Halloween Wedding - Absolutely hit it out of the park!…read more My brother enlisted me to help him find a vegan caterer for his Wedding on Halloween and I'm so grateful I found Arthur's. I had reached out to a couple of caterers in the area prior with the only requirement being the food had to be 100% vegan (very important to my brother and his bride). Every other caterer I spoke to pushed back on this and tried to get us to consider at least vegetarian (I think it might have been because they were intimidated by planning that type of menu?) but not Arthur's. Patty was our coordinator and she was a delight to work with - responsive, accommodating and put our minds at ease. The food itself was phenomenal! During cocktail hour there was a harvest table with all kinds of dips, roasted veggies, and a vegan sausage. They also had passed h'orderves which included a falafel, polenta cake and spring rolls which were to die for! The staff kept the plates coming so guests were never without something to munch on while enjoying drinks. At dinner there were 3 stations: 1.) americana/BBQ (buffalo cauliflower, jackfruit sliders, mac and "cheese", collard greens) 2.) Wok/Stir fry (tofu, rice, veggies, spicy sauce) 3.) Italian (eggplant rolitini, creamy veggie pasta, rolls) And then there was a late night snack! mini black bean burgers to satisfy the late night dancing and drinking craving. Needless to say no one went hungry and while this was a fully vegan menu there were only about 7 actual vegans at the whole wedding, yet the entire guest list raved about the menu. I can't recommend Arthur's highly enough. Thank you to Patty and her staff for an amazing night and for making my brother's wedding so delicious and so special!

Chef Kelvin is an absolute class act. The entire experience with him from first contact to event…read moreand after was amazing. My family traveled from all over and met up in a VRBO in Orlando (9 adults, 5 kids) to celebrate my dad's 75th birthday. He wanted to have a party and since I love food, I volunteered to take care of the catering. I had been working with a company on plans for the event 6 weeks prior, but 3 weeks before the event, they suddenly realized that it was a Sunday and they don't cater on Sundays. Talk about frustrating! Add to that, April is wedding season in Orlando and it was Easter Sunday. Well, Chef Kelvin to the rescue. His communication was absolutely ideal. From first filling out the contact form on his website, I had fun picking out the menu items and he worked with me on ensuring there was a good variety and one of our allergies was kept in mind. He reached out the day before to confirm everything, and then was extremely communicative the day of. His staff was so pleasant, and they were all respectful and helpful the day of the event. Absolute ideal communication throughout the process for me. And THE FOOD! OMG! It was so good. We definitely had too much, which was my plan (I always prefer to have too much, running out is no fun at a party). We kept some of the leftovers at the rental and our local family (4 adults, 1 kid) took some home too and enjoyed them. Chef came prepared with takeaway boxes and was able to package it all up for us. Here's what we ordered with a bit of commentary :) - Lamb Chops (I adore lamb and this was so well executed. He confirmed desired temp and nailed it) - BBQ Pulled Pork (this was a party favorite!) - Chicken Wings (loved the crispy skin and sauce, so good) - Pop Corn Chicken Bites (super popular with everyone! And reheated really well) - Shrimp Skewers (more popular than I had expected!) - Garlic Mash (my husband keeps raving about this. It was fantastic) - Garlic Bread (bread is always good!) - Baked Mac & Cheese (fantastic fresh and amazing reheated in the oven) - Smoked Cream Corn (my favorite, this was SO GOOD) - Garden Salad (in retrospect not needed, but I wanted to provide something green haha!) Honestly do not hesitate - reach out to Chef Kelvin for your event. You will not be disappointed. I'm so glad my original plan didn't work out.
