I requested an instruction manual in November. I still have not received it in the mail. I can't get a hold of the true manager or the owner to correct my issues. The office sends me to the non-supervisor supervisor. I have no idea why I keep getting sent to the same unresponsive group that caused this negative review in the first place. I need the owner to call me or give me a number to actually talk with them to get my warranty work not done by the people who, in my opinion, screwed it up. Thank You. read more

Our Inspector Jeremy was awesome. He clearly communicated before the appointment as to his arrival time. He thoroughly examined our foundation took elevations, inspected under the house. When his inspection was complete, he sat down with us, explained to us what he saw what his recommendations were, and how he came up with his cost estimate. Sales person did a good job explaining the process of repairing our slab. Unfortunately the start date got delayed but Roger did a good job explaining the end process. Amazing job done by the crew while digging in our hard packed sticky gumbo soil while in confined spaces and multiple roots. Only things that could have made it better were the lack of communication since only one spoke English and when shrubs were replanted they were not marked as such and needing water. Technician/estimator Angel explained the foundation elevation mapping procedure and communicated findings clearly and concisely. He produced an estimate on site and explained in detail what would be done including optional work to remove and replace a damaged driveway slab and install root block to prevent further ground subsidence from water extraction by nearby large oak trees. Our family purchased a house that had foundation work done with this company, so we also were transferred their warranty. After a few years, we encountered foundation problems & a few sewer line breaks. The breaks were repaired & extensive work was completed in May 2020...or so we thought. It's just over three years...and we are having the exact same sewer line repairs in the exact same spots that DuWest allegedly fixed. They left huge voids under our slab where the dig. Their so-called repairs are broken & even a lay person like me can see where repairs had been made & exactly where they are now broken. All in all, this company is horrendous. If you are under warranty with them, it's worth firing them & starting over as their work is truly horrendous. Also, the last thing that I'll say is what their master plumber said to me when they were finishing the job in May 2020: "If this doesn't work, you could put a for sale sign up." Imagine saying that to your client. Pathetic. read more

In 2008 I planted a really awesome tree that has growing wonderfully in my front yard. Unfortunately, many of its roots found their way to my foundation and sucked up all the water. This caused foundation problems. Step one, Du-West installed a root barrier, and unlike a competitor who offered a 28 inch barrier, Du-West went in with 36 inches. They recommended that I keep the foundation wet with soaker hoses for six months to see if the foundation will come back to normal. That six months is up. They are coming out Friday to check. No high pressure, quality work. It was also the better price of the offers I got. read more

Do NOT hire this company. They do not stand by their workmanship. I had a drip irrigation system installed, and from the get-go, there were issues - I even have documented proof of improper installation. For the past four months, I have been trying to get hold of the owner or the owner's son and they will not return emails or phone calls. Terrible after-service customer support. Be very careful about your decision to hire this company to do anything for you. They quote a free estimate, but then tell you a "travel fee" of 25.00-75.00 will be added, I asked the person at their office how often that fee is charged, and they said "every trip we make to your home" the charge is added. Beware, this is a huge red flag that tells me they make a practice of this, and no telling what "fees" would appear during and after the work is done. read more

Ten years ago, DuWest fixed the foundation of my house and did an awesome job. We were very pleased, so naturally, when another problem area appeared, I had them come back. This time was a disaster. The workmen had no supervision. The charges were much higher than ten years before. We were charged for a permit that was never gotten. No one ever inspected what was done including the supervisor, we never saw him. They ruined my front porch, and had no plans to fix it. They broke the mortar seal between the house and the porch slab, leaving open areas under the brick facade. They messed it up so badly that no one wants to work on it. The estimates are sky high. One finally told me I needed to have the porch slab jackhammered out and new concrete put it and reattached to the brick facade. There is no way to fix it. Don't use them. read more

David from Du West visit our home for inspection. He was informative and upon inspecting our home, he informed us that we had no serious problem, which definitely put our mind at ease. They advertise free estimates and as we didn't need any work performed, it amounted to a free inspection with no sales pitch. I would have gladly have paid for the inspection as he left us leveling measurements on a diagram of our floor plan we will have something to refer to, if needed in the future. He also made suggestions to lawn landscaping and maintenance. Also gave us some flooring ideas when replacing or repairing our tile floors. He was very professional and informative. I would be not afraid to recommend Du West. read more

Du West came out the same day when we thought we found a leak in our tankless hot water system. Rubin found that it wasn't the heater, but a faulty exhaust allowing rain water in. The previous plumber just tried to fix the heater which wasn't broken and we continued to have the leak. I will use Du West again. read more

He did a scientific analysis of my foundation and found NOTHING WRONG with my foundation in spite of some upstairs unlevel bath tiles (another issue other than the foundation) I am a big fan of Jim Dutton, and know he represents honest workmanship and honesty. read more

Du-West came out to assess the foundation of my home after we saw settlement in the area immediately to the east of our home's foundation. I was worried there could be foundation issues as well. Marty came out from Du-West and took measurements of the foundation. In the end, he said there were no major structural issues that required foundation repair. Now I am moving forward to repair the settlement to my sidewalk and deck on the east side of my home. You really cannot beat an honest foundation repair company, and so I give them a five star rating. read more
