I really do appreciate their prompt and expedient response to my matter. I still had to go through the things below and take it here before action was taken. But I would also like to amend my initial review, being that the individuals did correct the issues I had." Please do not ever use their services. Especially the office that is in Dallas, Texas. The people there are rude. They make mistakes, and they are not willing to remedy or correct their mistakes. I used these individual in 2017 and came back to them because we were having structural issues. I requested an structural report again in March of 2025. They told me that it was going to be a certain price, and then stated that it would be a different price because they didn't know that the house was on pier and beams, even though they did an engineer report in 2017 for the same house (which is on pier and beams). I also asked them to not send any communication to my realtor because she was just the person scheduling the appointment. And she will not be the person paying them or the person that needs to actually see the report. Of course they still sent the information to her after I specifically clarified that this was not to occur. I spoke to individuals Allie and Kristen to explain my frustration of them still communicating with the realtor and all they gave me was "They're human, and they make mistakes." Well, I guess them being human means that I am not. It's okay to make mistakes, (which the clearly did) but you should also rectify the mistake that is made. Not by being combative and or defensive as if I am wrong for pointing out the mistakes. I highly recommend never using their services. read more

The response by crosstown is evasive and incorrect. We have now made over 25K in repairs to the house in an attempt to fix water penetration of the crawl space and slab foundation. There was ample evidence of water damage at the time of Crosstown's inspection but it was missed. Water penetration of the crawl space, slab foundation, and flooring should be things that a foundation inspection company looks out for. In addition, there was a large crack in the side of the house near the foundation that we also missed, but this was something that Crosstown should not have missed. We should have gotten a refund for the inspection when Adam came a 2nd time, but that was not offered. read more

I contacted 4 companies to inspect my foundation and quote any recommended repairs. The quotes ranged from 6 to 16 piers, and $4K to $14K. While there were some similarities, there was a LOT of discrepancy between the work needed, what was included or extra, etc. I decided to obtain my own Structural Engineering report, and HIGHLY recommend CROSSTOWN ENGINEERING. Crosstown is completely independent and unbiased; they don't repair foundations and were not trying to sell me anything. They are professional, friendly and found an opening the next day. The engineer simply evaluated the property and provided a detailed report stating, "the foundation is performing as intended and we do not recommend foundation repairs at this time." They are everything you would hope for if you're needing an engineer. Within 2 months of purchasing our home, we noticed sudden, dramatic shifting in our foundation. Turns out our sewer was to blame. Being that it became an insurance claim, Crosstown was one of many engineer companies I called in the DFW area. I had the pleasure of speaking to Amanda who grasped and addressed all of my home issues, and explained in detail what would take place during the inspection. If she isn't an engineer, she's been trained very well. Not only is she competent, efficient and knowledgeable, she has excellent customer service. I wasn't quite ready to commit but I had been so impressed with Amanda's service the first time, I called back several weeks later and spoke with her again. She has incredible recall. It has been my first time buying a home, and as many people know, it's an intense (and sometimes emotional) experience. I loved the house, and each back and forth that put actually getting it into question was nerve wracking. When I finally made it past the initial hurdles, the looming foundation check was the last, scariest mountain to climb. If it was horrible (and the house is pretty old!) I wouldn't be able to proceed and my dream house would be toast. And the initial inspection raised red flags, they warned an engineer was needed to give a full report. After all that time and stress, would a bad foundation do me in? I was referred to Crosstown by my wonderful realtor, and I emailed them right away. I only had 7 days to get the inspection, the report, and make a decision and I wasn't sure how quickly they could help me out. Amber called me within minutes, and was one of the nicest, most helpful people I have had the pleasure of helping me. She was able to reserve a time for me tentatively (I had to coordinate with the current homeowners too!) immediately, with a couple more options if that didn't end up working out. She also explained for a small additional fee I could rush the report to get it sooner, which is very helpful. She also let me know they do go fully under the house, so I would be getting the most thorough assessment. She was there to help me the entire way, from me having to reschedule to another of her suggested times, to answering my early morning panic the day of (can they inspect in rain? Yes!). Josh came out the day of, and while he was slightly delayed due to the rain (a downpour!) he let me know well in advance. We were having cosmetic issues with our home and it's always hard to trust the word of the warranty department from your national builder. Since it was a new-build and we'd only been living in it for 8 months, we were worried there were deeper issues that needed to be addressed. We called Crosstown to have someone come out and take a look at our foundation, elevations, etc. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) Adam Green came out to assess. He was great. Thorough, efficient and informative, Adam was able to provide us a clean bill of health on our home and offer the peace of mind that we were looking for. No foundation repair needed -- thank God. All in all, the structural inspection took about an hour. Adam concluded with a walk-through to point out what he saw and later sent a detailed report with our measurements and his assessments. Scheduling was easy and flexible for me. Engineer was on time. Report looks good and Authentic, seal with the necessary information. I hired Crosstown Engineering for getting Foundation inspection for a home which I have put an offer. Regular home inspection report recommended Foundation inspection as there were minor cracks inside the home and 1 crack on slab. When I called Amber she told me inspection should take 1.5 hr to 2 hrs, I was expecting exhaustive inspection by the Engineer with additional tools, I was surprised when I found Structural Engineer is using the exact same instrument regular home inspector used for taking the elevation differences, I am not sure that is the only instrument available for home inspections. After taking the elevations Engineer gave overview of his findings and checked if I have any additional questions. I myself being an Engineer (Mechanical) not much satisfied with verbal explanation Engineer gave, especially when he told there is no way to measure the depth of the minor crack in the slab. Overall I am satisfied with the report as it is more elaborate and Seal on it. I am moving forward with the house I have put an offer relying on report they have provided as Report did not recommend any repairs. read more
