DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse is a good place to go if you need shoes. Any type for any age is pretty much available here with their wide variety. I like how the store is brightly lit and it's laid out with wide aisles. You don't really run the risk of bumping into people like you do at some department stores. Parking is wide and open here, and even during the holidays, you'll likely find a spot. The value you get is worth it. If you're lucky, you can find good deals on shoes that are marked down, with an additional 20 to 60% off. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes, you'll get greeted when you walk in. Other times, you won't. On my last visit here, the line was 3 deep when I got into it, and a few more people came in behind me. There were enough employees, but only 2 were actively ringing up customers. That was kind of a bummer. I also noticed that after I paid, I was just handed my box with my receipt in it. The employee was nice and thanked me, but did not offer a bag for my purchase. Do they not have bags anymore?! Weird for a shoe store. Anyway, I walked out holding my box of shoes. I do wish they had a more lenient return policy as I purchased a pair of boots for inclement weather last year but missed the return date by a few days. It's a 90-day policy. Even though they were never worn (and still brand new), I was not allowed to return them. =/ Lesson learned. Hold on to your receipts and make sure you return the unworn shoes before your 90 days is up! read more

First time customer and probably the last. Wasn't very impressed with the selection nor the prices, no current specials going on except if you spend $75 (basically one pair of shoes here) you get $20 off to use at a future date. There was absolutely no help on the floor, the one employee bumbling around seemed completely miserable. Employee at checkout was pleasant, but felt like we were in the back to school shopping pinch and just settled on this establishment because it was in the area we were already running errands at. read more

This is my first review of this business. I've bought about a dozen pairs of shoes from DWS. I've bought online and in the store. I've had no issues at all until today. I hope it wasn't a lazy employee who didn't care about a pair of totally worn and used shoes and put them back on the shelf for someone else to buy. I definitely still recommend this business and I will continue to buy from there. I bought some shoes online two days ago. I received them today (2/6/2024)! I received them in record time! That was excellent! I opened my box and discovered worn and used shoes! I was very disappointed. I called DSW customer service and they are sending me another pair and refunding me $15 for the inconvenience. I feel that was fair and reasonable. This business has great deals and I still definitely recommend it. read more

Bought some Nike shoes at the Temecula location, within a week or so of wearing they started squeaking. Like an embarrassing amount...can't comfortably wear these in public now and I have since learned this is an ongoing issue. Took them back because obviously there is a problem and I was greeted with attitude and no solution but to deal with Nike myself. The customer service from Samantha the store manager and Jose another manager was so unprofessional I will not ever give them my money again. You spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes I would expect more from DSW and Nike. DO BETTER! read more

Bought Nikes and they started squeaking (seems to be a Nike issue). DSW wouldn't return or exchange the shoes because they were worn. How else could I tell there was a defect if they weren't worn? This is the 2nd pair of Nikes to do this so no more Nikes bit I'll never go back to DSW because they don't protect or stand behind their customers. read more

We have purchased shoes at DSW in the past. Were pleased with prices and quality. Today not a good experience. Management needs to address poor housekeeping and maintenance. Fixtures at the entrance display thick dust! Carpet needs sweeping. Blinking ceiling light is annoying and 1 restroom is out-of-order. Restroom neglected with sticky floor, apparently with urine? Seat covers depleted and nearly no toilet paper. We'll not be shopping at DSW again! read more

We found a treasure! We found this DSW store in Temecula to be clean, excellent quality, good prices, kind employees, with a big selection. Just GO THERE!! I purchased a nice pair of loafers, wore them twice and they started coming apart at the seams. I called the store in Temecula CA and the male service rep informed me that if i wore them outside or over 30 days there was nothing they could do!!!! DSW is in my humble opinion one of the best shoestores. I started shopping there when i lived in Austin. Now we have one in the periphery stores at the mall in Temecula. They have all shoes covered....athletic to casual to dress. On my recent visit with my wife I found my favorite sandals. They're a seasonal item and I was ecstatic to see them out on display. One of the best features is that when you want to try on some shoes they are stacked directly below the display. No need to wait on a sales associate who's waiting on five other people to help you. Another feature is if they don't have your size in stock they will order for you and ship to your house at no extra cost! In addition they carry accessories like belts, bags and hats. Great store I love shopping here. read more

Won't ever go this place again. Tried to return my son's shoes here and the manager (believe her name is Samantha) would not take them because she said their policy wouldn't allow it because they were worn. The shoes were worn once indoors when we bought them and are spotless. Poor financial decision by this inept manager as we have always bought shoes here as a family of four. They lost that business forever. read more

DSW chain shoe store. DSW rewards program for free stuff. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking in this mall location. The store is ginormous and so are the bathrooms. Abundance of shoe selection options. Clearance section is pretty big too. Plenty of seats and stools to try on the shoes. Many mirrors to check out your shoe options as well. They have everything from flip flops and sandals to running sneakers to dress shoes. read more

I cut my finger on one of the shoe boxes. Rather than offering me a band aid or paper towel, the manager started berating me. He said my injury made the other customers unsafe. His attitude was very upsetting. When I expressed this to him, he told me he was refusing service and would not sell the shoes I selected. Very very very unhappy customer. On 11/12/21 I purchased a pair of beautiful 3' slingbacks to wear to an event the next day 11/13. The night of the event the right shoe slingbacks wouldn't stay on. When I got home at 10pm I inspected the right shoe and there is more stretchy elastic on the right shoe than the left shoe. It's a slight defect. On 11/15, I spoke to Hailey @ 2:10PM, who gave the phone to Megan who said I could bring the shoes back to either get an exchange, reorder the same shoe if it's available on their website or if I wasn't happy, they'd give me a refund. I told Megan, I'd go for a reorder because I love the shoes. Well, I go in the store today and employee Faith not only refused to do Anything for me, she said the following, "no one from the store can promise an exchange or refund with our seeing the shoes so Megan was wrong, you wore the shoes so we can't refund you and some slingbacks just don't fit some people's feet". Ok, this explanation was the most ridiculous group of words ever be used to deny helping a customer. As much as I wanted to argue, which I did a little, I left that store with a pair of shoes that I paid over $70 for to which I'll never wear because there's a DEFECT!!! I'm not over this! I know some people can throw $70+ dollars in the wind but I can't. Maybe Ms. Faith throws her money out the window along with her empathy and her customer service skills. I took m'lady to this DSW for a late Valentine's Day gift... A shoe shopping spree! What girl wouldn't want that, right ladies? M'lady has some foot problems so its not always easy for her to find shoes that are comfortable, but with the extensive selection that the warehouse had we were able to find 4-5 pairs of shoes, sandals, and boots that fit her correctly and comfortably. I even found myself a nice pair of shoes that I now have to find an occasion to wear them to :) Oh, I forgot to mention; they even give out shopping tote bags so you don't have to carry fifteen boxes of shoes around the store. Don't bother using DSW during COVID for new shoes if you don't want to go into the store. I followed up on my online order several times after not receiving it. First I was told shipping delays, then I was told FED EX did have it and I would be getting tracking info, then I was told shipping delays again. A month and a half later I get an email saying what I ordered is no longer available and my order is cancelled. Now I get to start all over again trying to get shoes I needed a month ago. So much for being patient and understanding. And no store credit is going to help me. Why would I want to re-order from a place that obviously has no handle on what they have in stock and has no problem giving customers the run around just to stall for time. read more

Check your receipt AND the bottoms of the shoes. I was overcharged and didn't realize it at the time. My fault but one should be able to assume the registers are correct. When I looked at my shoes as I was packing them for a trip the bottoms are all dirty. Clearly been worn. So I found the receipt in the bag when I saw I was not charged the right price. I called and was told I needed to bring the shoes and the receipt back to the store for a price adjustment. Plus how do I prove I didn't wear them? In this day and age she should have been able to pull up the receipt and correct the price. I am not a happy shopper. BTW I bought 5 pairs of shoes so a good customer at that. read more

I ordered slippers for my son for his birthday. They were delivered a day later than the eta and a pair of womens sandals are what came. I went in the store to return them and to have them fix their mistake. The assistant manager Christian was super argumentative. He said the only thing he could do is call customer service and have them send me another pair he wouldn't even look them up to see if there were any local. He called and got the new pair coming but said they couldn't overnight them which now, will make them over a week late for my son's birthday. He also couldn't give me a receipt of any kind. I let him know that's unacceptable that I need a receipt showing that I brought the incorrect shoes back and the new ones were coming he proceeded to argue with me for a pretty long time before calling customer service back. Customer service was able to email me a confirmation. Train your managers better. read more

We were so happy that the new DSW is so close to home and opened already. We buy athletic, dress, casual shoes here and my wife just bought a new handbag. I like that they have an excellent selection and a new shiny store to display it all. Staff were nice and we didn't have to wait very long to check out. Since we have both been shopping at DSW the reward bucks will start showing up real quick. Their prices are good, they have name brands and the rewards really get some deals. So my mom and I went there to buy some new boots and we found great quality ones and for a good price. So I brought them up to the register and they came up $10 more, so we mentioned it to the cashier and she called her supervisor. Her supervisor went to check the price and couldn't find them. So I walked her over to the display, price and multiple boxes with the same boot and she claimed it was in the wrong spot. I told her they were all the same boot and the price was right above them and she just kept telling me no, sorry they are in the wrong place. I work in retail and it's sad that people don't have customer service anymore or know how to talk to customers. Highly disappointed in this stores management. read more
