Like to shop in the warehouse but very limited selection for tall women (size 11) and make sure you get a picture of where you got the shoes from and the price cause it will change somewhere between the display and the cash register. I don't buy online from them because they participate in bait and switch with their "BOGO" special. You get a crappy pair of shoes that they need to get rid of for 1/2 price along with a pair you actually want for up to $10 more than regular price., more if you can find them on sale somewhere else. If you want a particular pair of shoes, in your size, at a discount, this is the wrong store. If you don't know what you want but you want a lot of it cheap, take a couple hours and a friend and go to the warehouse. read more

I came in to exchange a pair of shoes for a smaller size because the ones I bought were too big. I wasn't trying to return them, just swap for the exact same shoe in a half size down. The associate kept telling me I "couldn't return them," even after I repeated several times that I wasn't returning anything. She told me to go pick something else out instead, which made no sense since I clearly just wanted the same shoe. After a strangely long back-and-forth, she finally pulled them up online and ordered the size I needed. The whole interaction felt oddly accusatory, like I was trying to scam my way into a free pair of shoes when I literally had the original pair in my hand. Second thing: when I originally purchased the shoes on Nov 8, I also bought a pair of socks that I accidentally left at the counter. When I came back on Nov 21, I asked if I could still get them. I had my receipt and totally understood if the timeframe made it tricky. What threw me was her saying she "couldn't verify it with the coworker" who checked me out. I told her who it was, and she said she had no way to confirm because he was on bereavement -- and said it in a way that made it sound like I should have already known that. Again, the tone felt like I was being accused of trying to get something I didn't pay for. Overall, the whole experience was unnecessarily tense and made me feel like I was doing something shady when I was just trying to exchange a size and pick up the socks I'd already purchased. Don't overlook the clearance shoes in the back. Mixed in with last year's trends are some deals. I get my Chuck Taylor All Stars there. They take old shoes for donation or recycling. The person checking out next to me was signing up and DSW needed their name, phone number, email address, and full physical address. I didn't want to give them that personal information and was kind of in a hurry and just asked to purchase the shoes without signing up for VIP program. The cashier asked me 5 times and just kept saying it's such a great deal... there's no reason not to... someone has to get these VIP points... you can opt out of messaging after signing up... Ahh, DSW, you are evil. Eeeeeeeevil. I have successfully avoided you for many, many moons and was surprised and impressed with your remodel when I stopped in today. It makes you look a little more upscale and finally they've managed some crowd control by moving the check-out counter, which I appreciate. DSW isn't always my first destination for shoes, only because I'm either so 1) picky or 2) indecisive that by the time I've wandered the aisles for 10 minutes I'm usually ready to leave. Even with that much selection, I rarely find something I can't live without. I've never purchased anything from the sale racks, because I usually find it a horrifying mish-mash of the weirdest styles, or things that look as if they've been worn and returned. However, today I was on a mission to replace my decrepit one-stars, and in that I was successful. I didn't get the color I want, but that's okay. Against my better judgment (since we're headed into spring) I also ended up buying an awesome pair of weathered short brown boots. So, it was a good day, shoe-wise! A few things: Sometimes they have killer handbags in the sale section, so that's worth checking out. Re: the rewards card - you will get things mailed to you periodically if you sign up, but because I stop by so infrequently they have usually expired or I've lost them. Sales Associates are very friendly and helpful and they basically leave you alone to try on shoes until you need help. Lots of designer brands and can always find them in my size. I loooove DSW and I must admit that the Park Meadows store tends to be MY store (just because of where I usually work). However, a quick trip downtown and my car slowly veered off to Colo Blvd to buy shoes (it wasn't me, I swear!!). This shop is RIGHT off the highway in with the other big box stores (Best Buy, Ross, Petco, etc...) and it is a crazy busy parking lot. However, the store itself is great. I like this store more than the other DSWs out there because they have a better selection of brands and shoes. Not that cheap riff raff stuff you can find at Payless. Lots of sneakers, heels, boots, purses, accessories, you name it. Make sure to sign up for the rewards program. I love DSW in general for their selection and prices but today I had a really great customer service experience that made me a loyal shopper. I bought a pair of Keen sandals about two months ago for a camping trip. The second time I wore the sandals this summer they ripped to shreds. I took the sandals back just outside of my 60 day window (even though their message on the phone says 90 days) but they were worn and dirty since I last wore them to them to the lake. I hated returning dirty shoes that were that badly ripped, but for $100 an outdoor brand should last longer than two wears. They took them back no problem and even credited back to my card instead of making me take store credit. I really appreciate that they didn't make me feel like I was doing something wrong. With an arctic cold front moving in to town overnight, I needed to pick up some new winter boots stat! I never think of DSW, but the BF brought me here to check it out and unsurprisingly, I was in love! So many great options in so many wonderful styles. Tall, short, fuzzy, traditional, DSW had a boot for everyone. I loved it. I happily walked away with a beautiful new pair of black boots with a fuzzy interior. Aside from shoes, I noticed that there was a sizable sampling of handbags as well. I'll definitely have to mosey on back over here to take a look one of these days. I popped into this DSW location for the first time late night and I was suitably impressed. I was greeted by an associate as soon as I came in, but wasn't hounded about needing help like at some places. I am usually a shopper on a mission when I'm looking for clothes/shoes so I appreciated the relative peace while I looked around. The sale section at this location is MASSIVE! I gleefully tried on pair after pair of shoes and it seemed like the selection just kept going. I eventually settled on two pairs (both 30% off--score!) and made my way to checkout. The associate who rang me up was incredibly friendly and helpful. She also let me use a $20 off coupon I got in the mail (double score!) without sass or annoyance which I really appreciated. DSW feeds my new found addiction for dress shoes, boots, clearance racks, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, and even purses. If you can't find a pair of shoes here there must be something wrong with you. They carry wide shoes and now ever wide shaft boots for those that need them. The ladies working there are super nice and are there to assist but also trying to convince you to get the store credit card - no thanks I have enough debt. I don't understand how a woman can walk into this store and not immediately get really giddy and happy. Honestly I walk in through those automatic sliding doors and I hear angels sing. It's just a gigantic building FILLED with shoes by everyone from Puma to UGG (ew. Don't wear UGGs) to Chinese Laundry to Steve Madden to Guess to.. oh I should stop.. They have a really great clearance section, literally racks and racks of clearance shoes where you can find great shoes at pretty great sale prices from the already discounted prices. Some people might expect they only carry reject designs or stuff that can't sell in other stores and that is completely untrue. They have great designs and in-season style. Plus they have a great rewards club (free to join, of course) that rewards you with $10-off certificates and a good amount of perks. I hate buying shoes. Yeah, I wear them everyday, but damn it, I hate shoe shopping. I have flat feet, weird feet, and am a bigger dude, so finding comfortable shoes is not my idea of a good time. I tend to find a pair or brand I like, latch onto them, and then wait for the inevitability of them being discontinued and having to start the process all over again. Hate shopping for shoes. This location of DSW is a bit tough to work yourself into. The parking lot shares itself with a multitude of other businesses, and parking can be a hassle. I don't mind a good walk, and do tend to park further away than necessary just for extra room for my vehicle, and a bit of a walk. But the lot here is one of those where you take the first spot you can find and just deal with it, because you might not find another spot. I guess that is just a parking rant. Staff here is nice: they ask if you need help, and leave you alone if you decline. Selection is decent, if sometimes a bit lacking just for my shoe size. Multiple options for every style though, from sneakers to dress shoes. Might just be me, but the prices here seem to be a bit on the higher side compared to other locations like the Lakewood Belmar store, but it may have just been me looking for nice dress shoes. Hey, it's a shoe store; I found my pair, was helped at checkout by a smiling employee, and was on my way to the overcrowded parking lot soon thereafter. read more

Like all DSWs, this place is hit-or-miss. Sometimes they have great stuff, sometimes not. Always check the clearance rack, because I found a great find there last weekend for 40% off! That being said, it's only 10-20% off normal retail on most of their normal items. There are places that can fit you into the perfect shoe for the retail price - and sometimes that's worth it, especially for running shoes. Don't expect any sort of service, it's all do-it-yourself. A great tip I heard on the way out though is that they get all their new stuff on Tuesdays, so that might just be the best day to go there! read more

I was very, very pleasantly surprised by this DSW. I have a really hard time shoe-shopping -- nothing ever fits or is comfortable. Before coming here, I had a list of shoes bookmarked from DSW.com that I wanted to see. I managed to snake my way around a bit differently than planned (worked my way up through the sneaker aisle and landed in clearance instead of going to the new heels and platforms I was looking for). Lo-and-behold, I found not one, not two, but six - yes, SIX (6) - pairs that were stunning, fit like a glove, and - hello - on sale. 30%, 40%, and even 50% off. In the past, I have been less than thrilled with DSW's prices and selection, and this includes many years of living in California and Chicago, which should be the poster children of good selection. Shockingly, a semi-suburban Denver store has the best selection of any DSW I have been to. Go figure! All I know is, I'm not complaining. :) I was also surprised to find Michael Kors and Coach items in the handbag section - my friend informed me this is old news, but I was impressed nevertheless. The prices were steeply discounted, too. The cherry on top: the sales associates. Wow! So nice and helpful. That in itself is unique (shouldn't be, but it is). I'm usually very decisive about clothes and shoes, but I this place was just too much for me. I could not make up my mind! Anyway, they have a great selection of brands and the clearance racks are pretty decent as well. I do wish that they carried more variety of wedges. I really enjoy going to DSW because ordinarily I can find a decent selection of wide width shoes. The clearance prices are golden--I got shoes for my wedding for under $40! If I walk out with only one pair of shoes, I did something wrong. I also love that when I buy something online and it doesn't fit, I an go return it in store with absolutely no hassle. In fact, the staff is generally so friendly that it's literally NO hassle at all (unless you hate being asked if you need help!). I have wide feet so shoe shopping is extremely depressing. Especially when you try on what looks like a sleek shoe, and ends up feeling horrible. Anyway, this shop makes the experience tolerable. Their floor reps are extremely polite and not pushy, and their selections are great with prices pleasantly competitive. It's missing a star because the day I was there was extremely busy, so the store was somewhat disorganized. Also, any of you shoe unpacking assholes that can't justify spending 10 seconds at re packing and placing the box on the shelf, with the size facing out, please take your shenanigans to Payless. With pending weather, I thought I'd get a light waterproof hiking boot so thought I'd give DSW a shot. And I had a gift card. This place is a contradiction in progress. Huge selection yet no order. Some in this aisle and one in next and......you have to walk all over to see a particular selection. Prices seemed quite reasonable....yet seemed like at least a quarter had no prices. The gift card was nice but it threw the checkout for a loop. She had no idea what to do. With the holiday shopping season coming soon, seems like they aren't prepared. So overall I got what I wanted for a reasonable price but it took way too long to find and pay for. read more

I had heard so much about this place...but honestly, it was truly overwhelming and for how many shoes they have (which is comparable to an airline hanger in size) I thought I would have found more of what I was looking for, but I walked out with only one pair of shoes....odd for a shoe lover. :-/ I have to admit, their prices are great and there were some quality shoes as well as cheap shoes.
