#1 - important to know that most places are closed on Sunday so this was one of the few open at 9:30 pm. To start....So good. After eating over cooked meat in Dublin, this was a refreshing welcome to a properly cooked and delicious meal. The burger was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Even the broccoli was cooked perfectly. I had asked for my lamb chops to be cooked at medium temp, but came out a bit rarer than expected, but still delicious. I asked my Caesar to be lightly dressed and still was drenched - seems to be Vienna's way (same at kempinski lobby bar). The escargot was just ok. Despite the minor inconveniences - it was still a great meal and would come back. Service was excellent - cocktails (penicillin) & dessert (chocolate fondant) delicious.

Well, this is one of a kind restaurants that its hard not to enjoy. The quality of the food served is superb and the service is of high quality. The presentation is magnificent and of course most everything I tasted is very tasty. But for me the price you pay are not justified and the best parts which were truly unique and out of this world were the grilled garlic and cherry tomatoes!!!! Steaks were just to raw and I had to ask mine to be send back for a little more cooking. Glad I experienced this top notch restaurant, but going forward, I will stick with places less pricey and still decent quality.

When I heard about Dstrict, I was kind of excited. I was told "great steaks", so - time to check it out. The reservation by phone went very smooth, and upon arrival I was friendly greeted. I was way too early, so I was offered alternatives for the waiting time. Either the indoor lounge, or the rooftop bar. Coming back later, we were quickly seated and had a wonderfully view to the outside. The interior of the place is comfortable, looks well albeit a but dark. The staff is very friendly end helpful. The menu is on a huge plank, and refreshingly simple: the best cuts of meat explained and some starters and sides. All that is needed. The tartare is made in front of you, so you can pick the ingredients. Have to more spicy, or less salty. The soup was very pleasant, time for the main course. We were asked between courses if we wanted to have a short break, which was nice - not being stressed into the next course, just take your time. Nice! The main course was all about steak. We had two different cuts, one filet and one flank. Both were prepared as ordered. They don't have a problem to make a steak rare in this place. Very much appreciated. The meat was excellent, juicy, tasty, just how a steak should be. The sides... The onion rings were a blast. We didn't like the grilled veggies. We didn't go for desert anymore, although they have some really nice things, like cheesecake or sorbets. That will have to wait until next visit. They do have an excellent wine card too. Lots of high-priced wines. I would recommend putting in some wines with a nicer price, there are so many good wines with a lower price. We went for an excellent Malbec for an acceptable price. When leaving the restaurant the staff was again vey friendly. It was a very pleasant evening and we will return for sure.

PERFECT SCHNITZEL ! Loved it. Very clean and a lot of locals here. We loved it and loved the wine…read moretoo! Fast and efficient service. Highly recommended by a local and they were right. Danke!!!

We arrived at Plachuttas a little after 1:00PM and it was not crowded at all. At first we wondered…read moreif we should stay. We did. Sat outside as it was a beautiful spring day. Menus and bread serving arrived. $4.80 per person. Oh well. We decided to share and we selected the white asparagus with a tomato and egg relish with a vinaigrette and an Order of Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and lingonberries. Our food arrived very quick. Both dishes quite good. Not the best we have experienced in Vienna and not the worst. - Wiener Schnitzel: best one of the week. It was thin as it should be and not greasy at all. Wish it had been cooked with a little seasoning. Salt and fresh lemon solved that problem. 4/5 - Potato Salad: excellent. Almost addictive. Loved the fresh mache and pumpkin seed oil on it. 5/5 - Cranberry Sauce: or as I call it lingonberry sauce. Average. Tasted like out of a jar. But good. 4/5 - White Asparagus: served with a tomato herb vinaigrette with chopped egg. Wish the asparagus had been served warm then topped with the vinaigrette. Would made the dish pop. Very good. 4/5 - Atmosphere: Outside was glorious. Area was spacious. 5/5 - Service: waiter was abrupt and would disappear for lengthy times. Must have been really busy inside. 3/5 - Value: somewhat overpriced. Think the mandatory $4.80 bread service per person put it over the top. I expected outstanding bread and got a very small serving of bread and a pad of butter with a couple of tablespoons of a herb mixture.
