I needed something dry cleaned real quick. 3 days quick and they were able to do it. Now was it 100% clean. No but part of that was me. The price was good. Nothing crazy but not cheap either. My mother dropped off two pair of pants she carefully cared for years. That place damaged one with a tear, wrinkled the other. When this was brought to the attention of the asian guy, he pointed the finger at my asian mother and said 'you did this'. I stepped in the conversation and he said 'I am not talking to you I am talking to her'. She responded that she brought me to speak on her behalf... yet he kept trying to shut me up. Before leaving the place the guy looked at me and said 'you didn't want to talk to me earlier', I responded 'you're the one who said you're not talking to me'. So either he's got bad memory or bad attitude, either way that was the poorest way to deal with a problem. I asked for a full refund which the guy honored. Poor work quality, bad attitude, bad customer service. Avoid this place. Now we're left with having to deal with the damage. read more

My dry cleaner was closed a friend recommended this one. I took my clothes in and what you see in the pictures is a sampling of what I got returned. All of the shirts, slacks and even my suit jackets had wrinkles ironed into them. I am not certain that they were even cleaned, but they were all very wrinkled and damaged. read more

First time here and they ruined my original Hudson's Bay Stripe Blanket. This HBC blanket had sentimental value from Canada and is worth $200. I was nervous to give it to someone to clean but it needed to be done. They said they followed the instructions on the label but the blue stripe bled and turned the whole blanket a blueish/grey tinge. It used to be a warm cream color, now it doesn't match our home decor scheme and is ruined. Very angry and saddened to lose something that meant a lot to me personally from my home country . This line of blankets also increases in resell due to the label so they've ruined a future investment. Now I will be purchasing a new one online losing its sentimental value. They wouldn't offer to refund my dry cleaning cost nor pay for the damaged item. Was looking for someone to clean my wedding dress, will not be bringing it here. read more

I brought in a new pair of dress pants to be hemmed and instead of keeping the original 2 inch hidden seem they gave me a three-quarter inch visible hemline. I tried to explain that they should have used the original style hem, or at least asked me first before changing the style of hem. Instead of working with me to fix the problem the manager asked, "does it really matter?" "you want them to do it over after they worked on it for hours?" and then accused me of trying to get some thing for free. I don't want or need anything for free, I just want what I paid for. I ended up paying and leaving with the problem unresolved. Now I need to take my pants elsewhere to be fixed and pay again because he was unwilling to help me. I haven't written a Yelp review in almost a year, but after my Dryclean 580 incident, I suddenly felt inspired. In this case, by rage. I dropped off 15 items for dry cleaning, lured in by the "we use environmentally-friendly cleaners" sign and the convenient parking. I should have been suspicious when the clerk gave me a pick-up receipt where the price said "future". I returned and my future price was over $90. I exclaimed and commented on the exhorbitant price. The clerk told me that my cotton shirts (that I had dropped for laundry~usually costs about $2 per shirt) had complicated stitching on the front and therefore were $6 each. The "complicated stitching" was the pleats that all women's shirts have to allow for boobs and constitutes no complication whatsoever. Every single item was six dollars, regardless of what it was. I dropped off some wool pants and a wool skirt: I can pay $6 each for that, but a bunch of cotton shirts for laundry and this little silk handkerchief cost $6 each?!? After I expressed my outrage, the clerk gave me a $10 discount since I brought in so many items, but I'll never go back there and I don't want you to go either! read more

DO NOT USE DRYCLEANING 580! They are incompetent. They put a bad crease in my expensive suit jacket collar and then blamed it on the suit. I calmy tried to show the worker (owner?) the problem and he had a "couldn't care less" attitide. I immediately took the jacket to another dry cleaner down the street and they instantly recoginzed the problem (just a poor steam press job) and they corrected Drycleaning 580's mistake for free. I returned to Drycleaning 580 and showed them the fixed collar and calmy explained how it was fixed and that it was clearly their mistake. The guy said nothing. No apology, no offer to credit me...nothing. Silence. The other dry cleaner gained me as a customer and Drycleaning 580 lost me. Pathetic shame. read more

Worst dry cleaning place I have ever been to. I certainly will never return. I dropped my dress shorts that is a very reputable brand - Newman Markus. When I got them back, not only they where pressed terrible with folds on the front, but most importantly eight shorts had a broken sleeve buttons and one short had black spot on the front pocket!! When I came back and showed this to a gentlemen who is in charge, he told me that he did not think this was done by his machine. He was trying to blame the other laundry I had taken before, which was absurd. I had taken my shorts to Concord place for the last 6 years and never had anything like it. So i ask him to put spare buttons and fix the mistake they did. He took my shorts and told me he will try to solve this problem. I came 12 days later to give him enough time to get it done. However all eight shorts has not been touched. This guy is looking in my face and trying to blame the other cleaner over and over again. So I grabbed my shorts and left. This is not just one time ruin clients closes. I should known better, when my wife's dress was discolored a few years back in the same place, I should learn about this guys back then. Moved to CV last summer and started using Dryclean 580 because the location was convenient and they put a coupon in the local mailer. Quality and service were acceptable for the first 6 months, but have recently been very poor. Last week I picked up a $130 pair of gabardine wool slacks that were in for dry cleaning. Put them on today and noticed a small hole in the front, next to the pleat. Looks like a pin hole burn mark from the press - slacks are ruined. About a month ago I picked up a newer $70 dress shirt that was incorrectly pressed, causing the button to create a permanent indentation on the cuff - shirt ruined. Prior to that it was a suit jacket that was barely pressed after dry cleaning. Offer to repress it required leaving it for another week. Ended up ironing the lapels myself since I needed it the next day for an important meeting. The man at the counter (Won?) acknowledged having problems with the press, but didn't really seem serious about addressing them. Not sure if it's an equipment or staff issue, but either way it's unacceptable. read more

Worst dry cleaning place I have ever been to; I certainly will never return. I dropped my clothes off on a Monday morning and they said it wouldn't be ready until Friday! How could it take a whole work week to dry clean 3 shirts and 3 pairs of slacks? When I got my clothes, my black shirts were completely covered in lint and were totally unwearable. I'm not sure where they learned to press but all three shirts had giant wrinkles all across the front and back. The collars of my shirts were not folded properly so the collars looked like funky 70's collars. Total waste of money; I had to bring them to another place to have dry cleaned again. To say that I am dissatisfied is a total understatement. If you're like me and don't have time to press your shirts yourself, or have them repressed, I highly recommend you bring your business somewhere else. UNACCEPTABLE!!! read more

OVERPRICED POOR SERVICE!!! I was charged over $150 for a suit, a pair of jeans, and a few shirts to be cleaned. I also had to pay in advance (I now see why, since my clothes came back like crap) My shirts still had wrinkles, and were pressed horribly. My husband would rate Dryclean 580 a MINUS 10 if he could. Do not ..do not take your jacket to Eddie, at Dryclean 580 !!!! My husband took a jacket to have the creases removed on a late Tuesday morning. Eddie told my husband that he would have the jacket ready to be picked up later that same day. My husband did not make it back that day. When he went to pick up the jacket on Wed around 5:00 PM, he saw that nothing had been done to the jacket (creases were still there). Eddie's only response was that he would have the creases taken care of on Thursday, (did not provide reason as to why creases were still on jacket) and that the jacket would be ready Thursday at 5:00 PM. When my husband went to pick up the jacket, and inspect it, he was totally shocked....nothing had been done to the jacket. When he asked Eddie, "What is wrong?" "Can't you get the job done?". Eddie admitted that he assumed the work had been done; that the creases had been pressed out. My husband asked Eddie, "Don't you check to make sure the work is done properly..especially since this was the second time? His reply was, "I did not check the work." Eddie asked my husband to give him another chance, but as my husband needs the jacket for Friday (tomorrow), my husband told Eddie he could not give him another chance. He could not risk another mistake nor waste his time, as he felt he could not trust that Eddie would follow through, since he already failed after being given a second chance. Do not trust Eddie!!! I've been using DryClean 580 for last year and they're the best dry cleaner I've ever used. They're consistent, responsible and never damage anything, and my clothes always come out looking great. They always have my order ready before I have time to get back to pick them up, never late. Plus, Eddie, the owner is just the nicest person! Warm and friendly, they always remember people's names and treat us like family. I dropped off one of my favorite green jacket, here to be cleaned and it came back with a big white stain that definitely destroyed my jacket, stain that I was not told about, and I discovered it only after a while, when I was planning on wearing that jacket. I went back to complain about it, as soon as I got some time but , they wouldn't reimburse me and even more the clerk was mean, rude, disrespectful and arrogant insinuating that I did that stain on my jacket!!!??? Honesty and respect, was all that I expected from them, and I got nothing like that! I was disgusted by that clerk lack of professionalism, and the way he handled the situation. I think it would be their responsibility letting the customer know about the damages during the cleaning process, right away, when you pick up your items from dry-cleaning. Instead they would rely on that you won't notice the damage until later on, and this way, they can pass on you the responsibility for the damages. I will never go back there, and the lesson I've learned is: The need of checking on the quality of the service right away, before leaving the store. read more

We've used Dryclean 580 ever since we moved to the Hayward/Castro Valley area. It makes life simple since we are frequently in that mall to go to P.W.'s or Bodi's. They do a pretty consistently good job. Every now and then I have a button broken on a shirt, or a wrinkle ironed in...but that's just life. I wish the turnaround were slightly faster but they are obviously doing something right since I've been going there for 9 yrs and never seriously considered going anywhere else. read more

Eddie is great. Have not a had a problem yet. I don't know about the bad reviews here but I can tell you this. If you want your clothes done sooner just ask he will accommodate you. He puts it out for a week just to ensure that he gets it to you on time. He has hemmed my pants and taken them in because I've been losing weight, and all I did was tell him the inseam or how many inches I want off the waist and they came out perfect. You can't always park right in front of the place but there's always parking in the shopping center. I like getting a couple things done like shopping at Safeway or getting a pedicure etc. Yes, I Am a man and I get pedicures. LOL read more
