I do know the back story with this place. Popular joint from the West Seattle area, who expanded too fast, closed locations, but took a chance on opening a new one in our metro. I thank them for doing so. Every danged bite of protein is amazing. Smokey, but not overly so. Seasoned lightly, allowing the flavor of the meat to shine. Sides that not just compliment the cue, but make your fork reach for them---in between your hands picking up bones and gnawing off the soft parts in a primitive manner. We've been trying new places lately and this was on the list. Walk in and we were told to sit anywhere by a friendly waitress. The menu is a little confusing with the larger portions and slimmer plates. I ordered pulled pork and cornbread muffins and hubby had ribs and coleslaw. The pulled pork was good although I had to add bbq sauce that was on the table. It was good but not the best I've had. I also added a wedge salad which was very good with bits of tomato and smoked pork along with the blue cheese dressing. The muffins were subpar in my opinion; Over baked a little for my taste. He liked the ribs and the spicy bbq sauce. Coleslaw was just ok. We'll probably go back in the summer to enjoy their "junkyard" outdoor seating. Under new management that is focusing more on great burgers that are affirdable for the working man. Great service, quick and friendly. One of us had a burger that was not your average burger. Simple but done right with excellent crispy fries. We also had a pulled pork bbq sandwich that was one of the best I have ever had. Not too heavily sauced with just the right amount of caramelization. It came with a side of the owner's own coleslaw. Best of luck to this new family owned and run business. This is my new favorite BBQ in Spokane!! By no means perfect but it checks a lot of boxes! Best Mac and Cheese I've had besides my own. The sauce is a beer cheese and it's served in a crock, topped with even more cheese! Triple chop sandwich was pure meat madness! Rib, brisket & sausage covered in havarti cheese and served with coleslaw on a soft bun. The Drunkys Choice platter is almost too big for one person--a chicken leg & thigh, brisket, ribs, and sausage all perfectly smoked, not too heavily seasoned. A few concerns, brisket could have been trimmed up a bit. Cornbread was a bit chewy. Service was a bit inattentive but still friendly. This was by no means inexpensive but the quality was there enough to justify the price. read more

Seeing the reviews for Drunky's we were excited to give it a try because we are always looking for a great bbq place to eat at. Walking in the restaurant was nice and inviting and we were greeted immediately and informed that we could sit anywhere we liked. After a few minutes the server brought us our menus and got our drink orders ( which were brought out very quickly) she came back about 5 minutes later to take our order and when we went to ask a question she said hang on I have to grab a beer and walked off. Another 5 minutes pass and she comes back to take our order and we start asking questions. We wanted to know the difference between the family feast for $28 and the Drunkys choice for $40. Was is just the Mac n Cheese and sausage that made it more or was it more for each portion size as well? She says no you can get the feast in adult, slim, or child. I said well my daughter is wanting one rib and Mac n cheese and my wife and we're going to order the feast. Is it better for them to split the Drunkys choice? She said yes you get a lot more food than the feast. Ok so the order the choice and I ordered the feast. We also got a side of hush puppies. First the hush puppies we got were so dense I don't even know if they were made in house. They were just solid on the inside not a single air bubble to be seen. The dipping sauce was pretty good. Now we get to the main meals. They bring them out and they are the exact same plates other than the different sides and the one had one sausage and a small bowl of Mac n cheese (I'll get to this in a min) the ribs were the smallest most dried out ribs I have been served ever, the brisket was not trimmed because not pieces we had were solid fat. Not fat inside the meat I'm talking the fat cap on the top that was not trimmed down and then rendered down enough. The chicken I would give a 7/10 it was lacking salt. As for the sides the cornbread muffins were just ok nothing special. My greens were amazing I'll give them that. The beans were so over cooked they were mush. The coleslaw would be amazing on a sandwich or slider but by itself was nothing amazing. All the bbq sauces were super watery, I'm talking you squirt it on the food and it just runs right off. Now the Mac n cheese. Reading this description it sounded so good. What we got was horrible. The cheese was not even melted! You could see shreds of cheese still inside the bowl like the didn't let the sauce get hot enough before adding the noodles. It was so gritty my daughter even said easy Mac is better than this Now for the $40 meal it was not worth it The $28 meal was definitely enough to fill me up Would I go back I probably am going to have to say not for a few months and give them some time to maybe improve read more

My kind of place. Party of four and we all had good comments. Fun environment, great service, and they have Shiner boch beer. Food was OK, it's not Texas but who is? I'm going back for more ribs and chicken and to have a good time is what I'm sayin. Oh, I don't give 5 stars very often. read more

Very disappointed. The smoked chicken was sold out so I don't know if that was good or not. The ribs and pulled pork were okay. The salmon was incredibly fishy and on the skin (for those who don't like that fyi)... the muffin and beans were the saving grace. Good flavor. This is hands down the BEST place in Spokane for BBQ. The staff is amazing and can guide you through everything. I did not like collard greens until I came to this place. It was soo fricken good Happy hour, you can get a rib and a side for $5. White trash tacos are awesome. Outside the booths are old pick up truck beds turned into bench seating with a patio umbrella for shade. Very good BBQ. We did the family feast and it was plenty! Hubby had the collard greens and beans as his side. I'm not a fan of collard greens but I have to admit that these were really good!
