Been here twice in a week now and I'm hooked. Their Mac n cheese bbq bowl is phenomenal. I don't think I could be happier with the quality of the smoked brisket, the delicious creamy pepper, jack mac & cheese sauce, the sweet and tangy barbecue sauce, plus the beautifully crispy onions. Thank y'all so much for existing! read more

I'm from Texas and really have a hard time finding good brisket. This is the place. Have to follow facebook to see what day they will be open. I just go for the brisket and provide my own sides so can't speak for the rest. Most of the time they are catering so they don't sell to the public. Sad!!! They should open a brick and mortar restaurant. read more

Drummin up continues to deliver outstanding bbq in CDA ! Check out their Facebook page to see days they are open and specials ! Had the stuffed baked potato today ! It was a 20/20 ! Chicken and brisket were melt in your mouth good ! Do not miss this food truck ! read more

Excellent brisket, large portions, the Mac and cheese, beans and cornbread are really good! Will definitely be back.

Next time I'll just get the brisket because that's been consistent since I've been coming here. But what happened to the tritip!? It used to be nicely cooked and this is just so rare it's almost uncooked. Next time i'll have to check to make sure I can eat my food cuz now I have to wait to cook it in a pan. I love this place but dude. I eat medium to medium rare so i'm not abhorrent to red meat but I won't eat this. No way. Cook it longer. A shame. Three stars cuz I LIKE this place. But i'm twice shy when it comes to inconsistency. :\ I'll be reluctant to buy the tritip again even though i've raved about it to so many people. read more

Drummin Up BBQ - What happened, guys!? This is extremely rare. :( Almost black n blue. - Barbeque Near Me - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Drummin Up BBQ catered our daughters wedding in Northern Idaho. The venue was a cattle ranch "White Barn Ranch" south of Sandpoint. The food was incredible! My husband has eaten at and competed with Drummin Up BBQ. He always raves about their food - visit them in Coeur d'Alene. I finally go to taste their food and totally agree. They were super easy to work with and pretty much took care of everything. They were very accommodating of guests with dietary restrictions. I highly recommend them! read more

I'm from California lived in Texas (H-Town) so I know my bbq. Different styles from the Midwest to the Californian backyard fall off the bone style food so I Came to check this place out after seeing the reviews and BOYYYYYYYYY!, I'm glad I did. By the first look of my beef brisket, I knew this place was a gem. I seen the smoker in the back the grill and I knew the chef was no games. The food was freshly grilled and the texture, taste, definitely on point. It was hard to choose what I wanted. I literally stared at the menu and the young girl there was laughing cause I kept choosing one thing, then I was like no no no... let me get, and then I finally decided lol. I'm here for a week so I'm going to be trying out different stuff. But I'm glad I don't live close by cause this would definitely be my hangout spot and I have no fiancé cause I would eat here every day. All they need is some peach cobbler and I'm set!! By the way the huckleberry lemonade...... I had to buy two cause I knew for a fact, I was going to finish that by the time I got to my destination. ohhhh I need the his bbq sauce. The sauce man....... omg..... let me stop with this review cause I can keep going.... Hahahaha read more

Thank you for coming to Kootenai Health for our KH Day. This is the first time I have tried your food, and it was amazing. You had the shortest line and so I was a little worried but found out it was because the service was SO quick. Had the Mac and Cheese bowl with brisket, which was huge and worth every bite! Thanks for supporting the local hospital. read more

Incredible BBQ coming out of this tiny food stand. My favorite is the Brisket Lovers Plate - 12 oz. brisket, along with 2 sides (pepper jack mac n' cheese and baked beans for me) and Texas toast. The brisket is slow-cooked for up to 12 hours and always the first menu item to go for the day, so call ahead to have some set aside for you. Owner Daryl is clearly passionate about BBQ, and super nice to boot. On my first visit, I was debating between tri tip and brisket, and he walked me through his preparation for each, then offered complimentary samples to help me choose. I subsequently hit this place up twice in two days, and will definitely be back anytime I'm in the Coeur d'Alene area. read more

We had them cater a family function for 25 people. The barbecue dinner was excellent. The best we've ever had. We can't stop talking about it. We highly recommend them for your catering needs. You won't regret it. read more

I was recently at an event that they catered. There was no warning that the Mac N Cheese was SPICY! Never having eaten their food before, I had no idea. It looked creamy and fun with the crunchy bits on top. The first bite confirmed the creaminess was perfect, but then I had the horrible realization that my mouth was on fire. I don't eat spicy food, and would have very much appreciated a warning. An even better option would be to have a non-spicy version available too. At least the BBQ sauce was labeled spicy. read more

Meat, beans and Cole slaw and corn bread were really good. Unfortunately the Mac and cheese was just ok. But nothing to sway us from returning if we're in the area. Especially for the price. read more

Clearly the best and most tender BBQ Brisket, Ribs and Chicken I've had in a long time. While it's just a food truck, this guy knows how to make amazing BBQ- great flavor and tender meats. Also his sauce is fantastic and I'd like to market it for him/ he's "too busy", and it's a major under taking. Open Tuesday-Saturday, this is clearly the best BBQ in the CDA area. I say this as a BBQ freak, that has lived in Texas and North Carolina. I have sampled great BBQ all over the country including Memphis famous Rendezvous, and Drummin' Up BBQ is better! Their Mac and Cheese, Beans and Slaw are fabulous too! Order a Pound or more of Brisket and a couple racks of ribs for your next party and you won't be disappointed! But call early and reserve or he may run out before you get there! Drummin' Up BBQ- The best BBQ in the CDA and Spokane area and beyond. read more

The prices were cheap and the portions were large. After that, I went to the taste and it just wasn't there. I bought a Carolina pulled pork sandwich that tasted like it was boiled or made in an oven. It definitely didn't have a barbecue flavor from a truck like I was hoping for. It's completely possible I caught them on a bad day since I seem to be one of the only subpar reviews. I hope so, because I love food out of a truck! read more

Amazing brisket and tri-tip! So glad we were able to catch them before they closed, since we're from out of state. We got the tri-tip sandwich, a Make Your Own Box with half pulled pork and half brisket, and 1/2 rack of ribs. Everything was delicious and SUPER juicy, flavored just right. For sides we went with potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. Everything was good but a little under seasoned, although it's balanced out with the meats. The tri-tip sandwich was a lot smaller than expected, but they give you plenty of meat and a side so it's good for one person. There were 4 of us so we wanted to get a little bit of everything to share. Definitely recommend if you're close by, because it's affordable ($42 all together) and delicious! read more

Probably the best BBQ I've had. Staff was very friendly and fun. My son and I were so glad we decided to try Drummin up BBQ.

Drummin Up BBQ - a tray of food - Barbeque Near Me - Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

This place is wonderful. We chose the brisket sandwich since brisket is a true test of someone's bbq skills. I have to say, it was awesome. It was perfectly tender, moist and melted in your mouth. I really appreciated the generous portion, and the pepper jack mac and cheese really added a nice creamyness. The bbq sauce was nicely balanced but the brisket didn't need it. However it did add a nice sweetness to the sandwich. In the picture you can see the tenderness of the meat and the beautiful smoke ring. Can you believe this was only $9.00? Incredible. We will be back again and again read more

Do you know the Food Channel show "the best thing I've ever ate"? The Brisket sandwich, my mouth is watering as I'm writing this, It's that good. Good food and good people; two things I look forward to when I travel. If I can find both along with great BBQ, even better. Caveat - we're from the mid-west; self-proclaimed bar-be-que capitol of the US ... we like our que! Drummin Up BBQ can compete with the best! My son got the brisket I had the pork ribs. Huge portions, great flavor, tender .... You probably wouldn't even need teeth to enjoy the ribs! This place will make vegans rethink their food choices! If you want real BBQ go here, do not stop at go, except to giddy up and go! I am telling you just thinking about it makes my mouth water! The brisket is the bomb! You can call ahead and order and take it home to your family for dinner; that is if you don't eat it all on the way home! LOL! And don't try to sneak it without sharing, cause they will smell it on you! Then they will come at you like wolves and sulk all night cause you didnt get them any! Or if you just want to be evil, just brag a little and say "I'm so sorry I didn't get you BBQ. But it was soooo good! Next time you should try it. BAHAHAHA!! This place does not disappoint. It's fast, friendly, and one of the few places around CDA that I feel is actually worth the money. They do run out of things towards the end of a busy day, but that's the way it should be. It seems like these folks work hard and don't try to look like something they're not. Cheers. read more

There is no way I can ever express just how good Drummin Up BBQ is. The Tri-Tip is my favorite, but the ribs were so flavorful, moist & literally fell of the bone. I tried & loved the baked beans & coleslaw the last time. This time I tried the potato salad...it's almost as good as mine. My son's favorite is the PepperJack Mac-n-Cheese. I think it's delicious but too hot for wimpy me.We are sitting here in food comas after gorging ourselves. Oh & don't forget to try their Huckleberry Lemonade. read more

"Do You Want Your Life Changed Forever?" Something happened to me this week and I will be forever changed. This sweet angel's blessing of a place graced me with their precious food. I have driven by this place so many times and never stopped, but I randomly did one day and now I will make it a regular place to eat at. If there is nothing more trusting seeing a large food truck with flames all around it, with "Drummin Up BBQ" written across it, then you probably have a poor sense of discernment. I tried their briquette sandwich and I instantly had to hold myself together so I wouldn't cry in front of everyone. All of their food is life changing, their BBQ is next level, and the cooks are angels and that is no conspiracy. They are blessed BBQ Angels. Go here if you want the same experience; try not to cry. read more

A follow up to the review last fall (also a 5 star) we stopped by for lunch Thursday on our way to Sandpoint. Stopped by at 645 last night. I didn't realize the trailer was closed up, so I parked and got out. I was greeted by the operator who was hanging at the trailer next door. He walked over and offered to fix me a plate despite being closed! I had the 2 meat plate for $12 that included two sides. I chose tri-tip and pulled pork with beans and coleslaw. All excellent!
