What happened, guys!? This is extremely rare. :( Almost black n blue.

Next time I'll just get the brisket because that's been consistent since I've been coming here. But what happened to the tritip!? It used to be nicely cooked and this is just so rare it's almost uncooked. Next time i'll have to check to make sure I can eat my food cuz now I have to wait to cook it in a pan. I love this place but dude. I eat medium to medium rare so i'm not abhorrent to red meat but I won't eat this. No way. Cook it longer. A shame. Three stars cuz I LIKE this place. But i'm twice shy when it comes to inconsistency. :\ I'll be reluctant to buy the tritip again even though i've raved about it to so many people.

Drummin Up BBQ catered our daughters wedding in Northern Idaho. The venue was a cattle ranch "White Barn Ranch" south of Sandpoint. The food was incredible! My husband has eaten at and competed with Drummin Up BBQ. He always raves about their food - visit them in Coeur d'Alene. I finally go to taste their food and totally agree. They were super easy to work with and pretty much took care of everything. They were very accommodating of guests with dietary restrictions. I highly recommend them!

    This huckleberry lemonade...... omg!!!! Bomb!

I'm from California lived in Texas (H-Town) so I know my bbq. Different styles from the Midwest to the Californian backyard fall off the bone style food so I Came to check this place out after seeing the reviews and BOYYYYYYYYY!, I'm glad I did. By the first look of my beef brisket, I knew this place was a gem. I seen the smoker in the back the grill and I knew the chef was no games. The food was freshly grilled and the texture, taste, definitely on point. It was hard to choose what I wanted. I literally stared at the menu and the young girl there was laughing cause I kept choosing one thing, then I was like no no no... let me get, and then I finally decided lol. I'm here for a week so I'm going to be trying out different stuff. But I'm glad I don't live close by cause this would definitely be my hangout spot and I have no fiancé cause I would eat here every day. All they need is some peach cobbler and I'm set!! By the way the huckleberry lemonade...... I had to buy two cause I knew for a fact, I was going to finish that by the time I got to my destination. ohhhh I need the his bbq sauce. The sauce man....... omg..... let me stop with this review cause I can keep going.... Hahahaha

Incredible BBQ coming out of this tiny food stand. My favorite is the Brisket Lovers Plate - 12 oz. brisket, along with 2 sides (pepper jack mac n' cheese and baked beans for me) and Texas toast. The brisket is slow-cooked for up to 12 hours and always the first menu item to go for the day, so call ahead to have some set aside for you. Owner Daryl is clearly passionate about BBQ, and super nice to boot. On my first visit, I was debating between tri tip and brisket, and he walked me through his preparation for each, then offered complimentary samples to help me choose. I subsequently hit this place up twice in two days, and will definitely be back anytime I'm in the Coeur d'Alene area.

Eating brisket in the near by park bench.

Meat, beans and Cole slaw and corn bread were really good. Unfortunately the Mac and cheese was just ok. But nothing to sway us from returning if we're in the area. Especially for the price.

Clearly the best and most tender BBQ Brisket, Ribs and Chicken I've had in a long time. While it's just a food truck, this guy knows how to make amazing BBQ- great flavor and tender meats. Also his sauce is fantastic and I'd like to market it for him/ he's "too busy", and it's a major under taking. Open Tuesday-Saturday, this is clearly the best BBQ in the CDA area. I say this as a BBQ freak, that has lived in Texas and North Carolina. I have sampled great BBQ all over the country including Memphis famous Rendezvous, and Drummin' Up BBQ is better! Their Mac and Cheese, Beans and Slaw are fabulous too! Order a Pound or more of Brisket and a couple racks of ribs for your next party and you won't be disappointed! But call early and reserve or he may run out before you get there! Drummin' Up BBQ- The best BBQ in the CDA and Spokane area and beyond.

The prices were cheap and the portions were large. After that, I went to the taste and it just wasn't there. I bought a Carolina pulled pork sandwich that tasted like it was boiled or made in an oven. It definitely didn't have a barbecue flavor from a truck like I was hoping for. It's completely possible I caught them on a bad day since I seem to be one of the only subpar reviews. I hope so, because I love food out of a truck!

Traveled all over Texas looking for amazing brisket and we found it at Drummin Up! Lol! The coleslaw was AMAZING! Pepper jack Mac n cheese was fantastic too. We are blown away... Can't wait to eat here again!

Bbq brisket sandwich with pepper jack mac and cheese $9.00. Incredible. Notice the beautiful smoke ring and the tenderness of the meat.

This place is wonderful. We chose the brisket sandwich since brisket is a true test of someone's bbq skills. I have to say, it was awesome. It was perfectly tender, moist and melted in your mouth. I really appreciated the generous portion, and the pepper jack mac and cheese really added a nice creamyness. The bbq sauce was nicely balanced but the brisket didn't need it. However it did add a nice sweetness to the sandwich. In the picture you can see the tenderness of the meat and the beautiful smoke ring. Can you believe this was only $9.00? Incredible. We will be back again and again

Do you know the Food Channel show "the best thing I've ever ate"? The Brisket sandwich, my mouth is watering as I'm writing this, It's that good. Tender goodness with awesome BBQ sauce and sides of cold slaw and/or potato salad both of which were fantastic. The worst thing about this place is that it's closed on the weekends. Can't wait until I'm in town again.

Of course, he went with the classic cheese steak to see what their original was like before delving into the other specialty ones they offer. I ordered the Dirty Hippie, which has no meat--double portions of both mushrooms and grilled onions, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and ranch on a fresh baked roll. For my sweet tooth, I also got a "Pop's brownie." The Dirty Hippie to me tasted pretty much like a cheese steak, but with no meat. So, they did do a good job of mimicking a real cheese steak. It was super hot, cheese was melted, and definitely noticed the double portion of veggies. The grilled onions had a good taste, however, they were really long and stringy, which reminded me of string spaghetti lol. Sandwich can get a little messy, prepare yourself with some napkins, and don't let it sit or it'll get soggy from the juices. My roommate thought his cheese steak was average, not bad but not the best he's ever had either. Pop's brownie was chocolatey and moist and a great way to end a flavorful lunch. The shack is located in a convenient spot and the lot has ample parking. Service was great. The woman helping us was friendly and even gave me a frequent buyer punch card since I told her it was my first time there. Fyi, Monday's are double punch days! I'm a cash-type of person anyway, but bring cash if you don't want to be charged $1 to use your card.

The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside but still soft and pillowy inside, holding everything together without falling apart. The steak was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, chopped just right so every bite had the perfect balance of meat, cheese, and bread. And the cheese... perfectly melted into the steak so it coated every bite instead of just sitting on top. That first bite was one of those moments where you pause for a second because it's just *that good*. By the halfway point I was already thinking about when I could come back for another one. I love "Mom" who is always friendly and fun to talk to while waiting. Please keep in mind each sandwich is made to order so please anticipate a little wait BUT WORTH EVERY minute of it. If you're a Philly cheesesteak fan, this place is absolutely worth the trip. Bold statement, but this sandwich sets the bar.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this shop. It has a very warm and welcoming feel, with tall ceilings that make the space feel open and airy. When I first arrived it was quite busy, filled with families laughing and enjoying their time together, which created a lively and friendly environment. As someone who is more introverted, the crowd was a bit overwhelming at first, but it eventually cleared out and became a very comfortable place to relax. The staff were also incredibly kind. Since I had never tried a macaron before, I ordered a rose macaron to taste, and it was absolutely delicious. They also gave me a complimentary sample of their coffee, which was excellent. It was the house blend. And the bags they sell are very reasonably priced. The café is very well priced, with drinks ranging the $5-8 mark, and the foods ranging $3-8- and the quality of the food and drinks are quite rich in taste! Then a new owner came in. She told us that everything would be great. We were excited. Once there, felt sort of unwelcome but kept going anyway. We all sat at this little copper table with chairs and they brought us food and coffee. It was the norm and we were happy to have a circle table where we could all chat. We had a new lady join that week and she was told by the new owner that she doesn't want us at that table and to pass it on. It was to be for wine drinkers only. Well, why serve us there the whole time only to tell one person, not even the organizer about it. Owner sent a man over to us and we talked to him about it and we all brought up ideas and talked back and forth and thought it was ok at the end. The following week, a new gal came and didn't feel well. She asked the owner to tell the group she had come and that she wasn't feeling well. The owner asked who the group was and she started badmouthing us to the new girl! Another woman showed up and the new gal told her what happened and they both left. The group now meets elsewhere, but it is a shame that you treated a local group after the owner moves here from Spokane and wants to fit in, like garbage after meeting there for YEARS! Not only that, this establishment now closes early and doesn't stay open for farmers markets or anything local going on. It really is a sad deal that someone can come in and ruin a business that someone else worked so hard to build.
