Traditional Roll: Hamachi (x2) and Hamachi sashimi

Drove out to Coeur d'Alene to FINALLY give Rawdeadfish a try!! It's a food truck, located on Best with a few other food trucks. I have heard great things and look forward to digging in!

Almost forgot to take a picture food was so good, great and friendly place to order fresh Sushi! Best in CDA

The truck. Love the garden outside.

Love this food truck! Everything has tasted fresh when we've stopped by and the slices have been big. I usually order at the truck but recommend calling in your order in advance so you don't have to wait for what usually feels like a long time. I just tend to dislike ordering over the phone (when it's a call) so I end up waiting. There is a little indoor space that the trucks seem to share but I think most people wait outside or in their car. I also love that there are multiple food trucks in that lot because the sushi lovers can shop at this truck and others can choose something else for lunch or dinner.

    Large family assortment

What a hidden gem, to think good sushi could come from a food truck. My friends and I were very impressed. We got the large family assortment for $80 and it easily fed 5 people to where we were all content. Look at that pic, they did not cheap out on the fish. Typically you see fillers like California rolls and frail cucumber avocado rolls, but none of that here. Honestly, this sushi is better than some brick and mortar restaurants. Definitely worth trying and there's other trucks in the area if you want to have an assortment of different cuisines. You'll be full from this anyway though.. Came during lunch so there were quite a few of phone orders. Expect a 30 min wait at least if you come during lunch as a heads up.

The food is always fresh & is really big for sushi standards. It is also extremely affordable & the presentation is always beautiful. Calling ahead is a good idea to check wait times or order for specific times. If you are a vegetarian or vegan , the veggie tempura roll is so tasty. It's hard to find good sushi in Idaho, but this place is pretty amazing. Also, the appearance of the food truck adds to the experience. If you haven't checked it out, you definitely have to.

Yum!! I was craving sushi big time and this place hit the spot!! It's a food truck in a little roundup area so even if someone in your group doesn't like sushi, there are other options. Cool truck, nice staff, good sushi.

Their sushi is better than anything downtown CDA. The fish is fresh and the rolls are great. I won't go anywhere else.

Moving here to Idaho I expected very little in the way of good Mexican food, though I've been pleasantly surprised by a few spots and Taco Works for me is right up there with the best taco trucks in LA. Last night, I tried their fajita burrito. It came out quickly and piping hot, with chunky roasted peppers and onions. And a splash of sour cream. The asada was of decent quality, the frijoles refritos were delicious, and though the salsa verde was caliente, it didn't kick too hard. I enjoyed that burrito so much that I went back for a breakfast burrito this morning. It was fantastic with eggs, home fried potatoes, grilled onions, cheddar, and some of the best extra super meaty chunks of bacon I've even had. For me, this breakfast burrito was better than at any other Mexican or American food restaurant in the area. Both burritos were larger than any others I've had in the Inland Northwest, and the price for each was better than nearly every other Mexican spot in the area. Finally, the workers are friendly and humble, and in my opinion, this taco spot deserves much success and your business.

Of course, he went with the classic cheese steak to see what their original was like before delving into the other specialty ones they offer. I ordered the Dirty Hippie, which has no meat--double portions of both mushrooms and grilled onions, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and ranch on a fresh baked roll. For my sweet tooth, I also got a "Pop's brownie." The Dirty Hippie to me tasted pretty much like a cheese steak, but with no meat. So, they did do a good job of mimicking a real cheese steak. It was super hot, cheese was melted, and definitely noticed the double portion of veggies. The grilled onions had a good taste, however, they were really long and stringy, which reminded me of string spaghetti lol. Sandwich can get a little messy, prepare yourself with some napkins, and don't let it sit or it'll get soggy from the juices. My roommate thought his cheese steak was average, not bad but not the best he's ever had either. Pop's brownie was chocolatey and moist and a great way to end a flavorful lunch. The shack is located in a convenient spot and the lot has ample parking. Service was great. The woman helping us was friendly and even gave me a frequent buyer punch card since I told her it was my first time there. Fyi, Monday's are double punch days! I'm a cash-type of person anyway, but bring cash if you don't want to be charged $1 to use your card.

The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside but still soft and pillowy inside, holding everything together without falling apart. The steak was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, chopped just right so every bite had the perfect balance of meat, cheese, and bread. And the cheese... perfectly melted into the steak so it coated every bite instead of just sitting on top. That first bite was one of those moments where you pause for a second because it's just *that good*. By the halfway point I was already thinking about when I could come back for another one. I love "Mom" who is always friendly and fun to talk to while waiting. Please keep in mind each sandwich is made to order so please anticipate a little wait BUT WORTH EVERY minute of it. If you're a Philly cheesesteak fan, this place is absolutely worth the trip. Bold statement, but this sandwich sets the bar.

The food looked beautiful and we got the Box OG (pork), elote cup, mulita and TJ sticks. For the pork tacos, you don't really taste the pickled red onions much. I almost wish they had a stronger flavor because really all you taste is the pork and whatever salsa you put on. The creamy cilantro salsa was very good but we could definitely pass on the spicy roja, the flavor just wasn't for us. The pork itself was okay. As for the elote cup, I think we're a little spoiled after having elote in Arizona which was absolutely life changing. Because of that it's hard to say this one was amazing. It felt more like a watery cup of roasted corn. The cheese on top was good but once you got past that it kind of tasted like canned corn. Our 3 year old liked the mulita which was a win. The TJ sticks didn't seem fresh so they were just okay. Overall it was decent for the area but we've definitely had better. The building is newer looking and nicely kept, just watch out for the big pothole when entering the parking lot. I've been looking for a meal prep place to help cut down on the amount of cooking I have to do and, since I don't eat fast food, I luckily came across COPOW!!! Aside from CAPWOW being fun to say, the food is great! Huge selection of healthy meals (fully labeled with nutrition information, organic ingredients, no seed oils or ingredients you have to sound out to pronounce) that mostly just need to be heated up (some meals you can eat cold). CAPOW!!! The meals all have super high quality packaging, are proportioned well, have high quality ingredients, great taste, good variety and, while a little pricey, are justified in their price due to the ease to make and high quality ingredients that are used. CAPOW!!! This is a professional, clean, well run establishment. Before finding them, I tried using one of their competitors. The competitors food was not the best, the person stationed at the counter would stare at me while I shopped and say things, seemingly to themself out loud, like "I wonder how many meals they'll buy..." while creepily staring at me. I would nervously laugh and pretend those remarks didn't happen. We were greeted and sat immediately with menus. We got hot tea while we looked over the menu. I noticed right away they had lots of options and many rolls to choose from--even the pickiest of eaters are sure to find something! For appetizers, we ordered edamame and Rock Shrimp. Edamame was perfectly salted and warm. The tempura fry on the Rock Shrimp was spot on. The yum yum sauce was decent but lacked flavor and season imo..may have been too much mayo in this batch but all good, because the shrimp was amazing all by itself. The tempura was nice and airy and the shrimp was still juicy and tender. For entrees, my roommate ordered the Chicken Katsu and his mom and I feasted on the Sushi & Sashimi for 2, which comes with 10 pieces of sushi, 15 pieces of sashimi, chef's special choice roll, and subbed our Tempura shrimp roll for a Rock n Roll.
