There are some good things and bad things about my first and only experience at Madd Chicken. It will mostly likely be my last experience. I ordered the chicken & steak entree so that I could try 2 meats. First, they gave my order to another customer. He immediately noticed it wasn't his, handed it back, then they handed it to me after a brief discussion with the kitchen. Second, the entree is supposed to come with a salad -- it was missing, and the cashier was very confused about why I came back to ask for it. I noticed other customers going up to the counter multiple times to get something corrected, so apparently good service is not something that happens here. Third, the food is so-so. There is about 1-2 teaspoons of "teriyaki" in a separate plastic cup that you have to pour over the meat yourself. Most of it rolls off the meat and soaks into the rice underneath, and it was way too sweet. The chicken was nicely trimmed and the vegetables were hot, but the steak had a mealy texture -- I stopped eating it after a couple of bites. I also did not eat the salad because it too came with only a teaspoon of dressing in a plastic cup. Fourth, the tables were clean, and so were the bathrooms, however the bathroom was not stocked with paper products. read more

Excellent teriyaki spot. High quality ingredients and expansive menu options. Best teriyaki I've had outside of Seattle. Reminds me of Yogi's Grill in Arizona, but better taste and options. Very similarly styled food as Yogi's. Would visit again and try the chicken teriyaki fries. read more

We were running around looking for a replacement vehicle. We were limited on time so we headed to MADD chicken for our first experience. I called before knowing they offered GF but asking about dairy-free options. The young lady was confused but I asked her to ask about it for me. I was told the fry sauce was not dairy free. The food was good but not many topping options when you can't have dairy. The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. No reaction. This place is legit! Little on the pricier side , but turn it going to find anything better! Located in government way just south of the i90. Lots of parking and have a shaved ice bus out front. The few times I've gone in, there's always a line., looks like the word is getting out! Super flavorful and heavy portions, you won't leave hungry. Their teriyaki fries are amazing ! Went there on a recommendation. Seems they have some amazing chicken . Coming from Oahu Hawaii I want to see what the hype is . Upon arrival parking is not lit up so this hidden dark back lot that share space w a dance or exercise place . Found a spot went in very loud seems to be a good thing as they had a lot of carry out smells were good so this should be an amazing lunch box of teriyaki . We finally ordered chose a chicken bowl box and a steak platter . Teriyaki was fire on all points very good flavor . On the islands I do just cabbage and Mac no rice maybe something to consider , Steak platter was the worst sysco stew meat not steak I have seen and used this product on mainland and I would suggest a better product The picture shows w avocado this is an up charge not included so be aware . Never post menu photos of a meal that shows add ons show the meal you pay for . Misleading As far as the steak do a skewer or just a better product I will choose next time not to order I as a local personal private executive chef will give it another shot and try other options . The kitchen was busy and orders were moving. My only kind critic on our food was to watch the chicken. Set a timer and know when to pull it off and not over cook it. The flavors were good. First timers to Madd Chicken, we got take-out tonight. They have a nice seating area, they were fairly busy, ordering was fast, staff was friendly, I didn't wait more than 15 minutes for our order. We ordered the medium pork bowl, medium beef bowl, medium chicken entree (entrees come with veggies). All of our portions were huge, super flavorful with high quality ingredients. Finally made it in for lunch on Friday--ordered the #8 and found a seat. Very clean and pleasant decor. The chicken, rice, steamed veggies, salad, and teriyaki sauce were all top notch! I was very impressed that the veggies included squash, zucchini, cabbage, broccoli, and carrots and tasty. Food was promptly brought over and we were checked on twice while eating. A little off the beaten path, but easy enough to find. Parking is sufficient as they have their own lot. They have a varied menu so you will probably find something that suits your taste. I had the chicken and shrimp bowl. The rice was spot on. The teriyaki sauce is very good. Sweeter rather than salty. An observation on the chicken. I thought it was slightly overcooked and the grill marks were carmalized (slight burnt taste). The shrimp (all 5 of them) were a good complement to the meal. Bathrooms were very clean, as was the overall seating area. They are very proud of using quality alternatives for their cooking oil etc, but the good thing is I didn't think it tasted like health food! Be prepared for paying ~$20+ a meal. Food was yummy. We were there on a busy Saturday evening. About five people ahead of me. Waited about 30 minutes for my food. Only frustration is the person that bags the orders to hand out (for dine in, to go and call ahead) is the same and only person putting together burgers.
