Mini Salmon Roll, Four Seasons, Spicy Tuna, Nigiri- Salmon and Hamachi.
Abbie R.

We ordered ahead as we were driving through town. Our food was ready when we arrived! Presentation was great and the rolls were very tasty, although they did fall apart fairly easily. We ate outside in our vehicle as we had our pup, but the ambience seemed nice and clean when we stopped in for the bathrooms.

Veggie

Listen, we're veggie sushi roll eaters, so take this with a grain of salt. Not itching to go back any time soon... there's something about spending $40 on a few small veggie rolls that I don't enjoy. Waiter was very nice and sat us quickly, each table is provided with edamame which is a nice snack while you're waiting. Order got messed up, but I really don't care as long as it's fixed and service is nice (which it was). Rolls we're just OK and sadly small. I'm not sure what I expect in N Idaho, but after living in a few big cities throughout school, I just know there's so much better out there. I realize 99% of sushi eaters aren't eating veggie rolls so just throw this review in the garbage and pretend it never happened.

Chicken Fried Rice

This was our first time there for dinner, usually we go for lunch! Service was great. Very friendly and took pride in their work and the establishment. The dinner plates were prepared so nicely! I got the chicken teriyaki, & it was great. I love that they don't drench the teriyaki in sauce, and I loved the amount of veggies they're were. I do ask for extra teriyaki sauce to go along. My hubby ordered the fried rice, said it was great. Lots of peas, but good! We both had lunch left overs which is always a plus & speaks volumes towards the plate size.

Everything tasted a bit fishy the last two times. Service was still great but it seems the food quality has steadily gone down. Restaurant ambiance is still nice and clean with a chill vibe. Unless we are going to a movie we don't stop by much anymore.

Premium rolls Supper supper and i-special.

Food was delicious, and fish was fresh. Had two rolls and both was good. Price isn't on the cheap side but considering that their fish is fresh, I'm sure it costs extra to deliver it. Customer service was good. Very friendly employees. Place is clean and well maintained.

Almost done with our meal.

Always really good food. Quick, fresh, delicious choices that are not the same as all other joints.

Tempura Cheesecake
Allie G.

We had a great experience last night for my husband's birthday dinner. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful, and let us know we could get a free dessert for celebrating a birthday there. We got the tempura cheesecake which was incredible. We started with the veggie tempura and garlic edamame, both incredibly fresh and tasty! We also got a noodle dish and a roll. We especially loved the tofu and spicy Mayo. It was mellow and relaxing inside. Can't wait to return!

Burnt chicken, food is overall mediocre. Wasn't worth the money we paid. Hardly any tempura for our side order.

Sashimi moriawase for $35.

Medicare food, not a great atmosphere and decent service is how I would describe my experience at Sushi I. I probably won't be going back.

We were greeted and sat immediately with menus. We got hot tea while we looked over the menu. I noticed right away they had lots of options and many rolls to choose from--even the pickiest of eaters are sure to find something! For appetizers, we ordered edamame and Rock Shrimp. Edamame was perfectly salted and warm. The tempura fry on the Rock Shrimp was spot on. The yum yum sauce was decent but lacked flavor and season imo..may have been too much mayo in this batch but all good, because the shrimp was amazing all by itself. The tempura was nice and airy and the shrimp was still juicy and tender. For entrees, my roommate ordered the Chicken Katsu and his mom and I feasted on the Sushi & Sashimi for 2, which comes with 10 pieces of sushi, 15 pieces of sashimi, chef's special choice roll, and subbed our Tempura shrimp roll for a Rock n Roll. Man oh man! When the sushi arrived, it was presented beautifully and truly looked like art. Not to mention, it was SO DELICIOUS! Every piece and every bite was amazingly fresh. Hats off to the sushi chefs for doing a fabulous job. The ratio of fish to rice was on point! My roommate said the Chicken Katsu had a good cook to it and that he really liked the sauce it came with. Unfortunately I did not get our servers name and not so sure she had a name tag on. However, she was patient with us in regards to when we ordered and attentive throughout the meal. We came at a good time as the restaurant filled up by the time we left. I will definitely be back for more sashimi!

Our favorite was the Coeur d'Alene Roll, but the other two were also very tasty and unique. The Cowboy Roll has filet mignon on it, which was a new spin on sushi for us. The Blue Mountain Roll was actually shaped like triangles and had very good flavor and texture to it with just the right amount of roe mixed in. It's tough finding good sushi this far inland from the ocean, but Shiki sure raised the bar for this area. It will be our new go to for sushi here.

Did not expect this!…read more I've driven by this place a hundred times and was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The inside decor is dark with low lighting giving it a cozy , romantic , upscale feel. Unique decor and decorated cool. The first thing you see when you walk in is a glass floor that you can walk on and can see a table of people Dining in the basement. It's pretty cool. Our server was extremely attentive. Every time he walked by he would check our drinks or ask us if we needed anything... top notch ! The food - it's on the pricier side but worth the experience. We started off with the baked Brie and the blue cheese wedge. The baked Brie was unique. The Brie was wrapped in a house made phyllo dough and covered in caramel sauce. Accompanied by Some fruit and bread. Unique and well executed. The wedge was wonderful. Very tasty house made blue cheese dressing and bacon (I think adding some tomato or onion would have broken up the saltiness) but was still great tasting We ordered the sweet pork chop. I was impressed how moist and tender they cooked the pork.. I have to admit that it was too sweet. Even for me, who has a crazy sweet tooth. It was a unique pairing, but left no room for savory. We also ordered the seafood fettuccini. I believe they house make their pasta and Alfredo sauce. It didn't come with a ton of seafood (a couple large prawns and a few bacon wrapped scallops) but hit the spot. Their house bread they serve with your meal is the highlight! A little loaf of breast drenched in a garlic butter sauce! I'm salivating just thinking about it! I' have to admit, I have high expectations, and this place is probably the better of the many other local eateries I've tried . A little spendy- 2 people , no drinks with tip $130 ish Ambiance - 5 Food- 5 Service -5

Let's count the ways..... the ambiance is very warm, dimly and indirectly lit in amber light, and the decor is kept dark and in wood. Loved it! The service I got was top notch with personable touches. No Martini served warm or food served cold. This was attentive and on point. The food was delightful- on this cold, rainy night in October, I felt it for the baked brie followed by the pork chop with apples and oh boy, did this hit the spots. Best baked brie in years.... and the pork from the local Snake River Farm was delicious. This all was framed by the Dirty Goose Martini and some beer on tap (to rehydrate for health reasons of course) and ended up being a very wonderful and stylish dining experience.

I was told this was the best sushi in Coeur d'Alene, so I had to check it out…read more I went for dinner, well before they closed for the day, and didn't think that I would have any issues. However, I got there and the guy asked if I had done a call ahead order. I told him that I hadn't that I was just walking up for dinner. He then told me that they might not be able to make me dinner because they had so many orders. This means they're a victim of their own success, and that's a good problem for them to have, but it doesn't make for a great dining experience. He ended up asking me what I wanted to order, which I thought was a little odd after he had told me that they probably weren't going to be able to serve me. I told him, and he told me that they could probably "fit me in" but it that it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait. So I waited. To be fair, they did eventually get me my sushi. It was good, not great. They did this thing that I don't really appreciate where they put wasabi in the rolls. Not that I don't like wasabi, but don't put wasabi in the role or on my individual pieces of sushi. The last thing about this place that I would say, is that it is quite expensive. I understand that sushi is always expensive, but there is less expensive just as good sushi options in Coeur d'Alene other than this location. It's also just a food truck, which I think is super cool, but it's in a shared parking lot, and there's not really any outdoor seating. So this is definitely a to-go location. I would definitely go back if somebody else wanted to check it out, I don't know that I would make a special trip to revisit this location.

Today's visit was no different and was deliciously fresh and yummy. I planned on getting a poke bowl and when I walked in, one of the specials of the day was a wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl...cha-ching! That's exactly what I got and with a side order of 2 crab cakes. The wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl was simple and fresh, yet packed with ahi tuna and the perfect amount of rice. Poke bowls are my go-to for a protein packed meal that's healthy and leaves me feeling full. Now the crab cakes!? If you've never tried them from here and you're a crab cake lover, then do yourself a favor and order some. They were perfectly cooked with a crisp outside and stuffed with a good amount of tasty fresh crab. The 2 sauces of my choice to go with the cakes are: traditional tarter sauce and then take your lemon slice and squeeze the juice on top and mix it in and the Cajun tarter sauce--it has great flavor with a little bit of spice. My pics don't do justice--the flavor is where it's at! My roommate got his favorite Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich with fries and he was a happy camper. I will say, their fries are authentic and actually taste like real potato. We arrived at lunch hour and the ambiance was definitely busy, which is normal. Service was great and food came out fairly quick. Every employee I saw stayed busy, either helping people, cleaning, or chef'ing it up.

Our favorite is the Hali-bites and kids menu specials for our littles. The atmosphere is always filled with the clatter of a bustling business, and yet channels the coast (even though we are far inland). We also love to grab some fresh fish, crab, scallops or other seafood to make at home. I will say, they make everything fresh to order and are often slammed, so don't plan on coming in and expect your food to be out in a flash; however, it is worth the wait. The only reason I didn't rate is because of the price, however everyone knows you get what you pay for when it comes to seafood.
