I loved the vegetable tempura however and did not feel the veggies I tried were too soft. My husband traded his miso soup for my mushroom and onion soup. I tried both and they were both delicious but he does not enjoy miso soup while I do. I ordered the filet and lobster combination dinner with white rice. The filet was delicious. The lobster did not taste fresh. It was pretty fishy tasting. I told the waitress who promptly apologized and offered to replace it with a different item. She took the lobster tail and I agreed to switch it for the shrimp. She brought the shrimp out to me just a few minutes later and it was very delicious and tasted fresh. The veggies served with my dinner entree were so wonderfully flavored and cooked just how I like. My husband had the pad thai with beef and he loved it so much. This was our first time coming to Shiki and I must say we will definitely be coming back. Overall wonderful service and aside from the lobster everything tasted so good.

Definitely not Coco's Curry, or anything you would expect to get in Japan, and no add-ons or anything special, so you cannot just add cutlets or potatoes like you normally would be able to at a Japanese Curry place. Service was very friendly, and ambiance was just what you would expect. My absolute favorite was the Godzilla Roll, it has avocado and Eel on top.
