Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. We had already started eating when one of the guests in our party found a hair in their sushi. It completely ruined the meal for everyone and raised serious concerns about food safety and cleanliness. We tried contacting the restaurant to let them know what happened. The only solution we were offered was to bring the food back, which wasn't practical since we had already left and had begun eating. We were disappointed that no other effort was made to resolve the situation. l hope the restaurant takes extra care with food preparation and hygiene to prevent this from happening to future customers. read more

Some of the best sushi, miso soup, and tempura I've ever had. The tempura batter is perfect. What's crazy is that it's in Idaho! Prices are lower compared to all the other sushi restaurants in this area. I've been to their Hayden restaurant and their Post Falls restaurant. Both are excellent. read more

The servers are always nice and funny. The wait is a little long, but it's worth it. My favorite there is probably the terriyaki beef.

Food is sometimes on point and very good and sometimes a disappointment. I guess you take a chance as to who is cooking that night. Service has always been pretty poor. Servers are rude and impatient. read more

The service while pleasant was very sparse. Had to ask over and over for napkins, silverware, chopsticks, plates stuff that should have been obvious. Tempura was good. Bento box w left a lot to be desired. Presentation 0. Beware of the nasty fried rice. Way too greasy. I told our waitress and her reply-"I'm surprised because everyone Logé's our fried rice." The good was mediocre and the service was "lights on nobody home". She was nice but just ran on automaton phrases. There was only one other could in the restaurant and she was at the hospice station starting into space when we came in. She said we could use any open table. We walked to the table we wanted and it was dirty. We asked to have it wiped. She used a soaking wet towel and left water all over the table. I had to get a napkin from another table to dry the table. I ordered my salad with dressing in the side; it came drenched in dressing. My wife ordered a roll, I ordered teriyaki beef. She brought out my meal first and it was 5 minutes before her roll came out. Polite people wait for others to be served before eating so I had to watch my food get could. The teriyaki was flank steak with something sort of like Yashida's sauce poured on top. It wasn't marinated so the flavor didn't go through and the meat was tougher than if it was marinated. The roll was ok. The bright spot was the fresh cooked veggies and they covered the rice on my plate with an ups is de down bowl so it was hot. They really need to get people who didn't just robotically go through motions, that care that their customer gets what they ordered, and that they get food out for 2-tops at one time. read more

Funny enough, my favorite part of the meal was the starter salad! It had a strawberry dressing of sorts, which I thought I wouldn't like, but it was actually so delicious and very fresh!! As for my entree, it was okay. I got the vegetables delight and some of the veggies were delicious, some were not so good. The tofu was good but a bit sparse in comparison to the massive pile of veggies on the plate. We also got a side of hibachi noodles and unfortunately didn't really like them...they need to be more savory, as they tasted overwhelmingly sweet!! The thai tea was delicious, I wish I would've gotten another haha Outside of food, the service was pretty great. Our hibachi chef was super friendly and very entertaining. Our server was helpful and patient!! The inside was relatively clean but could use some updates :) Ultimately, the experience was pretty standard, but I'm not sure if I'd come back. Food is still great but experience just comes up short. We made a reservation for Valentine's Day very early, and ended up waiting over an hour for the cook to even start cooking. Definitely a bummer because we would love to come more often. It's also very hot inside in the summer. read more

Went here for dinner one night. The whole place is incredibly Smokey from the hibachi grills, the room is so noisy you can barely hear your table mates, but worst of all everything was over cooked. I ordered a lobster tail and it came as little cut up balls of rubber. My husband's shrimp were the same way, and his filet mignon was cut into strips and, you guessed it, over cooked. Everything was way over salted. Definitely a disappointing meal. We won't be returning. For over $100 we could have gone to Anthony's and had a much better meal. read more

We've been craving sushi, so we ventured here last night. Unlike the others in our group, this was my first time here. Upon first impression, the restaurant seems a bit unbalanced in terms of layout. There were several people waiting to be seating in the sushi section, while in the hibachi seating area it was mostly empty. This is probably my only "gripe" as the staff was quite friendly and helpful when asked about their menu. The food was quite delicious and everyone in our group seemed full and satisfied. I personally had the Only Avocado and the vegetable rolls, both were fresh and tasty. The warm sake was also a delight on the bitter cold night. read more

My daughter and had a girls weekend for Mother's Day and found this place, we ordered sushi and hibachi. The sushi rolls were absolutely as well as the hibachi meals. The waitresses were attentive and made sure everyone's drinks were full at all times and made sure to keep the tables cleaned off. The restaurant was clean and Nicely set up. Times have changed. I was here 6 months ago and really enjoyed my meal. I went again tonight and was really disappointed. On the teppan side, you don't get soup AND salad; it's soup OR salad, even though the menu doesn't say that. We were not offered any sauces. There were 5 adults and a 2yr. old. At the bottom of the receipt, it says "service fee of $27.00". I left a $38 tip only to realize the $27 was the 16% tip. Why does it say SERVICE FEE instead of ADDED GRATUITY? I basically tipped $65. On Sept 20 I made a birthday dinner reservation for Sept 21 at the Hayden location; however, the afternoon of Sept 21 I received a call stating they did not have enough staff to operate that day. Given that this birthday dinner was for my daughter's 12th birthday, I quickly called the Post Falls location. I was so happy that they could accommodate us. Our entire dining experience was wonderful. The hostess, the manager, the chef, and our server were all so amazing, even though they were short staffed and running all over the place. Our food was delicious and my daughter had so much fun. Our chef lead everyone in singing Happy Birthday To You while playing a ukulele, then he finished off the experience with juggling fire! In these times, people are quick to complain; however, we're all in this together, and we need to not only look to the positive, but lift up and encourage those around us who are putting forth so much effort. This place is terrible. So over priced. Food is subpar, place is dirty and dingy. Outdated decorations. My sister likes to get sushi here occasionally and I didn't want to make the drive to CDA for a quick lunch by myself, so I took the chance and went in. I had a lunch sushi bento box. It was baaaad. The fish wasn't cold enough so I was a little concerned on eating it. I only chose the 3 option box but they still served it to me in a 4 option box and the biggest area was empty. Super weird and odd to serve to someone. Iced tea tasted old. Server was not very pleasant but food and drink came out rather quickly. Place was pretty empty though. However when I wanted to pay, I had to wait 15 minutes to even get his attention and have him run my card because he was standing at the podium talking to other workers and ignoring the guests. read more

My favorite is by far is the garlic albacore roll. The baked lobster crunch roll is also a go-to. We typically order out, and we've always received our order on time and correct, even with specialty instructions. We haven't had the hibachi, but the sushi is always top notch. read more

I recently visited Fu-Ki in Hayden, in search of some good sushi. I really haven't explored many physical sushi restaurants in the greater Coeur d'Alene area. Service was a little slow for a lunch service, but the quality of the sushi rolls was very good. They could have been rolled just a touch more tightly, we had some issue with end pieces kind of falling apart. I'm going to hold the fifth star until I have been there a couple more times and sampled the sashimi as well, but first impression was very good. Maybe a touch on the pricey side. Second visit and even though it started off not the best it ended up being an amazing time. We celebrated our granddaughters birthday who turned 4 and loves coming here and they gave her a wonderful show. The food was excellent. I had filet mignon dinner and I loved it. My husband had steak and shrimp and he said it was the best steak had in awhile at a restaurant. My granddaughter had salmon sushi, california roll and salad and ate almost all of it. My grandson who is two had the kids teriyaki chicken with fried rice and he loved the fried rice. My daughter has the scallop dinner and really liked it. My son in law had the yokosaba noodle with beef dinner and he said it was the best restaurant experience in a very long time. I highly recommend this restaurant and in my opinion they are reasonably priced for what you get. read more

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! hubby took me here for my b.day! Last night. They treated us like royalty The food was amazing, and the hospitality was way over the top!!!! We truly got the red carpet treatment. We had made resv. For 8, no one could make it. So we did not want to take one of their tables just for the 2 of us, but the staff was so gracious and hospitable, they invited us to enjoy the show anyway So we decided to stay. Our chef was fun and fantastic. The whole restaurant sang happy birthday to me. And someone pd for $15.00 of our meal THANK YOU THEN they gave us a complimentary slice of cheese cake. The restaurant its self is on the run down side. It needs a little TLC & a good cleaning. Our meals were not anything special. The "show" was poorly done, with the cook not really into putting on a big show, he lacked the excitement/enthusiasm in the presentation. Our chicken, shrimp & beef were WAY over cooked. The scallops were tasteless! There was really no flavor for the entire meal. The fried rice was good, but our local fast food has better. Truly disappointed, as the meal (& show) are why you are paying the big money. The starter salad was very simple with the "strawberry dressing", but it tasted yummy. read more

I've been here many times but this trip wasn't great. Our service was very average- our waitress disappeared for a long time. We sent back our saki because it was just terrible... like hot Chardonnay. At least we weren't charged for it. We had one of the eel rolls and it was incredibly fishy. Not good at all, and we've eaten that roll several times. Nobody got sick but not a great visit. It will be a while before I'll try them again. read more

rolls tasted like they were pre-made and refrigerated then pulled out and topped. the hot saki was barely warm. Then the sushi chef left to fix a problem with one of the hibachi stations, preceded to balance himself with his hand on the floor, then returned quickly ran his hands under water ( no soap, did not change gloves) and started making sushi again. Sadly the quality of sushi is better at the grocery stores. cda has some good sushi restaurants, definitely worth the drive. read more
