My first time coming to gvr and I love trying their center bars at the casino. I either order an old fashioned or a dirty martini. I went with the old fashioned this time. I was very hesitant because it came dark. Usually it's a little lighter, but wow it tasted really unexpectedly delicious. Gustavo was the bartender and he was quick with the service.

Bet some and then had a few drinks at this bar in the Green Valley Ranch in Henderson. It conveniently is located in the casino with tons of slots in reach. Drop Bar is one of those typical overpriced casino bars. Looks pretty basic much like others in a casino. There's a good amount of seats all in front of video poker screens. A pretty typical looking casino bar. It's located close to the south entrance. Take a walk past a few slots and you'll get here. Basic overpriced things to get. Typical it seems. It's about $12 for a basic cocktail. There's certainly lots of cheaper places to get this kind of stuff. Each seat has a video poker screen in front of it. The more you play it typically gets you complimentary drinks or it's supposed to. Of course it's become stingier than it used to be. The drinks are pretty watery for what they charge to be honest. Cool place to hang out a bit. It's a pretty typical bar in a casino. There's places to get the same stuff for better prices.

Tucked right in the heart of the casino, this, intimate bar is a hidden gem. I visited for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. I tried their Bloody Mary, which was not only delicious but also priced at a reasonable $10. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The seating area is beautifully designed, offering a luxurious ambiance. I left feeling quite satisfied and will definitely return.

This place has become a brighter, sleeker venue with the strong drinks and music video's/sports playing. Wish the bar was expanded because the bar tops are almost always full! There is a lot of cozy lounge couches and chairs surrounding that main bar. Bartender Brandon can be found here and he can make you a myriad of drinks here. He is on trend and also schooled in the classic concoctions. Their other bartenders are also attentive. A place to be seen so dress up if you feel glam!

Standard bar in the GVR casino. Had a jack and Coke for $12.50. You can find better drink options during happy hour at the surrounding restaurants though.

I've got to say my first review was written 5 years ago & I just read it. Since that visit I haven't had any bartenders charging me for drinks while I gambled. I was just here the other night & Drew was the bartender & he was AWESOME!! Great customer service & made me a really yummy shot when I asked for something sweet. He was very attentive & was able to handle the customers around the bar. You could see he can fully handle his job & enjoys working here. They still play great music here & I still haven't had any big winnings here yet! LOL

Got to experience the A TEAM! had Aaron make me an old fashion with makers .. made it in front of me seen him stir the drink & always had him make a one of a kind Jameson espresso martini! Well shaken with extra foamy rim!

Great place to chill and drink with friends on a Saturday night. My friends and I came around 6:30pm and there was plenty of places to sit. As it got later, the music started playing louder and all the seating areas were full. There are TVs around the perimeter playing sports but I wouldn't go here to pay attention to a game. The presentation of some of the cocktails are also so beautiful, like the Drop Dead Gorgeous. My favorite was the Drop it Likes it Hot because I like my cocktails with a bit of spice. Highly-recommended!

Beautiful bar!! I love this place! The entrance itself is impressive. Inside is dark and sexy. Large bar seating and then comfortable lounges. There's no more menus but the waiter was funny and awesome by dragging the menu from the entrance to our table just for me to scan the QR code. My drink was delicious. Great spot to start or end the night!

Located in the GVR, this is a hip bar surrounded by the table games. With good music and cool decor, I can see this as a great place for locals as well as out of town people to lounge in and get their drink on. Prices are reasonable if you don't want to wait for a cocktail waitress and there's a good amount of room to sit back and relax. You won't feel out of place if you're. Not dressed to the nines but will see a few people here wearing their fancy weeknight attire. When I visited, there was a bachelorette party group getting their glam on and enjoying themselves. The bartenders were fast and the drinks were strong. This is a good place to see and be seen if that's what you're looking for. I'd definitely come back again when in the area. If you see me, say hello. Cheers!

What kind of music do your weekend DJs play, DJ Lynzee and DJ Kiki?

Is this place good for dancing on a Monday night?

I wouldn't even say that this bar is a place for dancing. There's no dance floor. They do play good music but I believe it's more on the weekend with a DJ. Other times they just have music playing over head.

From the moment you sit down, you feel like a regular -- even if it's your first time in. Today John was at the bar. He has a real talent for reading the room. Busy night? Your drink appears fast and exactly right. Slow evening? He'll chat with you just enough to make the place feel warm without hovering. That balance is harder to find than most people realize. John always makes the drinks well -- no shortcuts, good pour, and he actually remembers what you ordered last time you were in. The attention to detail is what separates a good bartender from a great one. The vibe of this whole bar really comes down to the person behind the counter, and John and the rest of the bartenders absolutely carry it. Friendly, professional, and genuinely seem to enjoy the work. If you haven't stopped in yet, do yourself a favor.

I wanted to like Oak Room, but they're completely missing the mark…read more First, there's no Wi-Fi, which already makes it a bad choice if you want to come here to work or relax for a while. On top of that, they were playing rap/hip hop when the space would make much more sense with chill lounge music, jazz, or oldies. The vibe feels confused. The menu is also poorly positioned for the location. A lot of the items are things I'd much rather get from the surrounding restaurants that do them better. If King's Fish is 10 steps away, or Echo & Rig is nearby, why would I choose to pay $58 for a ribeye here in what feels like an empty gaming bar? Instead of differentiating itself, Oak Room seems to be competing in categories where the nearby spots already win. The place would make far more sense leaning into elevated bar food, small plates, and finger foods. Outside of fries, fried shrimp, and egg rolls, there's not much on the menu that fits the environment. This is not the kind of place people naturally want to go for herb-crusted salmon or a ribeye. I'm writing this more as a favor to the owner than anything else: reevaluate the menu, the music, and the overall positioning. Right now it doesn't feel like a place to work, chill, or have a standout meal -- and the fact that it always seems empty reflects that.

My brother started doing his usual poo pooing the place, saying, I don't know why we have to go here and that he wouldn't like it and I knew it was going to be good because he was doing this and in the past every place we end up, he ends up loving and this was the case this time as well. The place is dark and foreboding when you first walk in (This is a good thing) It feels very gothic... Strange Macabre pictures, potions and taxidermy scatter the place, you walk pass one room with Tables and chairs and a fireplace and into a larger room with booths, tables (The booth tables move which is good) and this is where the main bar is and where we met Jessie, the bartender, a true delight to deal with. Amazingly fun personality and told her it was our first time and felt very comfortable and welcomed by her. I ordered 50 shades of Grey Witch and my brother got a mocktail, Bubble Bubble Toil & Trouble, he liked his drink and I LOVED MY DRINK. It does come with a Burnt Marshmallow for my Vegan friends, while I did not eat it, I am glad I didn't know because the smell of the burnt Marshmallow filled the glass and every sip had that burnt taste. AMAZING. I WILL ORDER THAT NEXT TIME. Of course my Brother says, what am I eating for dinner, implying it would not be good and that he would need something else along the way to his house.... He ordered pepperoni pizza w/red sauce, I got Vegan cheese & Vegan sausage w/a delicious vegan white sauce and WE BOTH LOVED THEM--SO GOOD, AS THE MENU SAYS "THE BEST PIZZA YOU WILL EVER EAT and this was not a lie, we loved them so much that we each ordered one to go. There was also a casket that I was fascinated with... If you know me, you would know that I felt right at home, in fact, It reminded me quite of bit of the house I grew up in with my Witchy Aunt Helen but that is a story for another time I guess. Jessie gave us a tour and the place is bigger than you realize, they even have a couple of secrets to share if you are lucky enough. I felt like I was in a cross between Dark Shadows and Scooby Doo and I loved it, this is literally my dream place. I may ask if I can rent a room--Just build me a secret one please and Kristen can cook for me, she is amazing too. and I am allergic to mushrooms and she double checked the ingredients before making my dinner so thank you very much! So, this place goes on the return list and hopefully that will be very soon! Yours The Dice Man
