I've been coming in to Drop Bar for over a year, and service is consistently good. I get "free well drink" tickets every week, when I cash my paycheck, so I always pop in here for a quick shot of whiskey or tequila. Their well drinks are not great, but they're higher quality than some places... Its dark, and sometimes they have live musicians, which is fun. I can't comment on the prices, because I always use my free tickets here, but the service is definitely good...I'd probably stop in here for a drink without a ticket, if I'm in the area. read more

Great bar with good bartenders. Video Poker machine kept me playing for a good 30 minutes until it swiped $120.00 from me. That's $60.00 buck's a Heineken. Fu$k! Fun fact- Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa does not appear to be listed on Yelp. Only the Spa or restaurants inside the hotel. Go ahead and look it up yourself. Notta. How is this possible? We loved Drop Bar in the Green Valley Ranch Spa & Resort & Casino. The artistic chandelier is a perfect centerpiece for this fun lounge. Bar staff were very personable and fun. Tiny bar on the gaming floor at GVR- it looks upscale, but the prices are the only part that match. Service is not attentive, barely had time to down my drink before dining elsewhere on property, defeating the whole point of stopping. My friend Esther and I were meeting friends at Fado and we got there a little early and had some time to kill. Neither of us had ever been to the Drop Bar and since it's just across the way we dedided to, uh, drop in. Normally, a place like this would get 2 stars from me. It's more of a casual ultra-lounge filled with cocktail dresses and sportcoats. Kind of a pre-club get-together place if you will. The drinks are pricey, the TVs show a smattering of nothing worth noting, and while the music IS a little more varied than other places it still runs the line of wussy and boring for me. However, the room is just so visually fun, and really, really comfortable. The sphere lights, smooth edges, and crisp whiteness of everything invokes a 60s mod feeling that's just out of this world and completely removed from the casino surrounding it. The barstools besides looking awesome are actually comfortable, as is the bench seating around the perimeter. I wouldn't go out with the express purpose of hanging here, but if it came up I wouldn't be completely opposed. read more

Great bar inside of the Green Valley Ranch hotel. Went in and was sitting at the bar and the bartender asked us if we would be willing to move to a lounge chair because some other customers wanted to gamble. No problem, we ended up having a huge lounge space all to ourselves. Went on a Saturday night and the DJ was playing a great variety of music. The drinks were good and the ambience was nice. Only thing I would recommend is having a cocktail waitress for customers who are in the lounge area. We had to keep getting up and going to the bar for our drinks which was a big deal but it would have been nice to have a cocktail waitress. read more

Also not the best for finding a TV to watch the game on...they have them but they are small and not in the best locations. Oh, The Drop. Since this is pretty much the only lounge/bar with in the GVR, we ended up here pretty much every night/morning of our trip. Small, but conveniently laid out with plenty of couch seating. It's located in the center of GVR casino area, so it was hard to miss :-) Good service, good cocktails, nothing spectacular, but still a decent spot to entertain your coworkers and clients. Walked in around 1030pm on a crowded Saturday night. Circled the bar twice before being able to get a seat, but walked up to the bar when we first arrived, and was helped right away. The staff on duty that night (01/02/16) was very quick to serve, even if the bar was crowded. Noticed that there was a live DJ and even a tiny dance area in front of the DJ booth. Pretty cool to have in a lounge/bar and not an actual club. The music was PERFECT - lots of new and old hip hop/rap (my favorite) that kept the crowd moving and singing/rapping along. Sat down and threw a $20 in the machine and played on that same $20 for TWO hours! Be sure to enter your players card info to earn points. We just entered our phone number as we did not have our actual cards with us. During that time, husband and I probably had 5 drinks each. Again, the staff paid attention to our empty drinks and quickly asked if we'd like another. We appreciated the fast service. The crowd was mixed-younger 20 and 30 somethings at the bar and seated in the lounge area. Ample lounge space. I also appreciated the crowd, old and young, who were dancing and having fun. Some people were dressed casually and some were dressed up. It was a fun and affordable part of a date night. We will definitely be back! read more

The drop bar used to be the place to be when Green Valley Rach first opened. It is definitely making a comeback again. The atmosphere is great with the perfect music and decoration. This is also a great spot to watch a game; they always have them on the flat screens. I have been here a few times in the last couple months and the bartenders and staff are very friendly and helpful. They know their beer and liquor. I think I stopped at every bar and got drinks from the servers walking the floor and I couldn't really taste the alcohol in those drinks like I could at Drop Bar. It's more ultra lounge, yet the music and big screens make you feel like your in a club. Big comfy couches are great for hanging out and making new friends. Went here a few months ago with my ex and it was fabulous! I've been to GVR many times, I'm not sure why we didn't spend more time in this beauty of a bar! First, it's dark and cool inside. Good music, attentive bartenders and a smoky, cool vibe that makes you want to burrow in, drink and cuddle all night! The drinks were out of this world. They don't skimp on alcohol, that's for sure! I had started out drinking doubles (what, I'm a DRINKER, it's what I do) and had to mellow out to singles before too long! The service was speedy, didn't have to wait for drinks. The music was loud enough to hear, but low enough to talk over. The furnishings are dark and decadent. You sink in and don't want to get back up. I suppose the only downfall is that it's in the middle of a casino and I prefer to just pull up to my bar and walk into it. Other than that, it's perfection. Also: SEXY (this bar totally is) I love this bar and will be making many more appearances to be sure! read more

I loved Drop Bar when it was all white and 70's looking and I love it even more now that it is gothic and dark. What makes it even more special is that they serve hookahs after a certain time. While it can get pretty packed and hard to find a seat, it is worth sticking around for to people watch and have a little puff puff of deliciously flavored tobacco. You can always save yourself the headache and call to reserve a booth but it will cost you, like anything in Vegas. The music in the earlier hours of the eve can be questionable (I remember wondering why they kept playing Michael Jackson and 80's rap over and over) but it seems from my experience that the music gets better as the night progresses. I also like that they play music videos. Overall, Drop Bar has a bit of a club feel but in a non-strip hotel so the crowd tends to be more local. Its a great place to start off the night, wind down your night (morning), or just chill here for the evening. read more

There is never anybody sitting there and nobody ever asks you if you want something (which is good and bad). I sincerely hope that my friend sues this bar after the night we just experienced. First we entered Drop Bar with my friend's husband, a person with disabilities who uses a cane. After placing an order at the bar, we took a seat. Note that I and my business partner were in for the day on business and my friend and her husband are local. Before we had finished a single drink, we were informed that the bar would no longer be able to serve our party due to the supposed inebriation of myself, my friend, my colleague, and her husband who was drinking iced teas. I feel that we were blatantly singled out and targeted as a group of people who brought an individual with disabilities that made the waitress uncomfortable. And she instigated a situation that would drive us to leave. The main bar staff had taken it on authority from this waitstaff member (that none of us had ever spoken to) that our party were incoherently drunk and should no longer be served. On top of everything else the woman who cited this claim was incredibly biased and unkind stating for example when we asked why we were not to be treated like normal customers, that my dear friend is ugly...inside and out. What? Never in my life have I heard such an atrocity spoken by someone to another human being ... let alone to a woman who is the caretaker of a husband who is currently experiencing clear physical and other disabilities. The bar staff literally stated that her husband would no longer be served. He was drinking Iced Tea. This experience was traumatic for all of us. Security was called and ultimately encouraged our party to leave. I spend money at this property. I loved this place. I am ashamed of this behavior. read more

Easy to find, centrally located within GVR. Drop bar is better than the average "center casino" bar. Decent couch set-up for groups that are not always "RESERVED" (reserved for who exactly??), good lighting and ambiance. Mixed quality on service. First waitress was fun and engaging (we had a group of 9)....the waitress who relieved her though literally acted like every drink order was an irritation. Maybe we don't count if we aren't poppin bottles? I ended up walking to the bar and ordering the remainder of my drinks from the very fun and friendly guy there... The crowd that night was good, we had no trouble striking up convo and jokes with our neighbors and guys at the bar. But that is often the case at GVR...a little less pretense than strip casinos in my experience. But the highlight were the 80's and 90's videos that were playing...across a wiiiiiiiide variety of genre's. i did get some crazy looks from the rest of the crew when I broke out into the Safety Dance....oh well, it's my movie...ACTION! net net: Drop Bar might actually pass as a destination, not just a pit stop. read more

Came here on a Friday night and was very pleased with the music; top 40 and hip hop. You don't find that often here in Las Vegas. It's always some kind of high energy, house, or trance music playing at every lounge and club you go to. We also came on a Saturday night and they played the music I didn't like. So this place lacks the 5th star due to inconsistency, and the fact that they don't have a small dance floor to get people to dance. There should more dancing! I wouldn't necessarily say there is anything bad about this place, I know I just never really have that good of time while here. It's a tiny bar/lounge area in the middle of GVR and just feels very kitschy. There is fake black velvet furniture and mirrors everywhere which is totally different than the rest of GVR. I know it's its own thing and design but it just comes off as tacky to me, maybe because I'm younger, idk. Along with my age, the two times I have been in here I am sure I have always been the youngest person and I was in my mid to late twenties...again nothing wrong but just not my type of atmosphere I guess. The drinks are pretty expensive although they seem to be mixed properly. It is a lounge so you should be able to lounge and have some drinks and a conversation but the music is too loud that you have to yell, even though you are sitting at the same table. I just don't know what GVR is trying to accomplish here. Maybe out-of-towners think it's cool? read more

Fun place, first time going here last friday. Great atmosphere with the music videos, dj and video slots. They also have a lady that comes around and you can pay for massage while you drink, play. You have to try it, female blond bartender was friendly and if you play they will comp your drinks and not go cheap on you. Worth going back to and checking out. read more

This is a good spot. Kind of in between a club and typical bar. Sometimes it feels too fancy for me, but not when it's date night! It's a perfect starting/ending spot, with dinner or a movie close by. Patrick is my favorite bartender. He's always attentive, and good for a chat if you're waiting for people to show up. In the middle of the casino floor at Green Valley, so basically smokers in the bar and around it, but not terrible. Cute & friendly female bartenders. Looks wise I'd best call it a modern upscale sports lounge. There's a bunch of screens all around to watch your games and if you get bored, there's also hookahs available for rental. Decent music with actual music videos on some of the TVs, found myself bobbing my head to quite a few classic 80's vids. It was pretty empty the 3 times I went there during the week, but again early March I don't expect much of a crowd in and around Vegas. Drinks were typical hotel pricing, so not cheap. Not too loud music wise so you can have a conversation there. Check it out if you're looking for a drink in more "upscale" environment. read more

Easy to find in GVR, it is a nice place that is laid out in a circle formation. It has music and a little more dressed up crowd. The funny thing is that beers in this bar are 6 dollars and at Quinns you get them for three ha. It is cool, but hard to move around when it is crowded. They also play a lot of random music videos and songs throughout the night. read more
