Cypress Creek had great reviews, so even though it was a longer commute, we wanted a positive experience. We purchased the 6 lesson package for my daughter and it was a good fit. She already had some driving experience, but she needed some fine tuning. Each lesson was 1.5 hours and my daughter's driving ability and comfort behind the wheel improved. After the 6th lesson, we scheduled her road test with an extra lesson right before. She was thrilled when she passed. I'm very happy with our experience. My daughter says she highly recommends Cypress Creek Driving Academy and so do I.

Made an appointment, waited 15 minutes there,…read morecalled and could hear their phone ringing, but no one was there, went home, then when they finally called back they were rude, with no apologies, just telling me to come back again now because they're there now. After completing their full course, they refused to provide the paperwork for me to take to DMV unless I paid to test with them or paid $50 to get paperwork switched to "parent taught" even though I went through their entire program and just wanted the paperwork I needed to test at DMV, where it costs $16 instead of $80 like it did here. My daughter couldn't do one of the home work assignments in class bc the qr code wouldn't work, they refused to email me a link to it when I asked, so the teacher just told her to copy someone else's answers down the next day without watching the video. Driving times are supposed to be an hour, but often they either started late or returned early, often as much as 15 minutes early. She never drove on the freeway and spent 2 complete classes in the parking lot.

The lady who answers the phone, Susan Seeton, has a bit of a bad attitude, but was a great classroom instructor. She explained every concept thoroughly, and made sure you understood before moving on. The driving instructors, on the other hand, didn't seem to have any redeeming qualities. My final time was with a black gentleman (I don't remember his name), and he had a terrible attitude, was rude, and unprofessional. After I had gotten in the car, he asked me what to do next, I said "buckle up." and for some reason he mocked me for saying this and got angry i didn't say it in a more proper tone ?? He would scream at me and slam his fists on the dashboard if I did not change lanes quickly enough, said he hoped I would hit the curb so he could hear me scream, and embarrassed me in front of a woman in the backseat, who was also a student. He stressed that I should turn the wheel "hand-to-hand", which no normal driver does, and the technique made me turn sloppy and far too slow for traffic. Anytime I would turn the normal way, he would grab my hand and try to force me to turn the wheel the dumb way. genuinely contemplated finding a place to park and switching right then and there. Sign here, fill this out, sign and date here. After completing all the forms needed, and it is now our turn for the driving test. One of the instructors calls out my son's name and in a condescending, belittling tone says, "Read the expiration date and tell me what it says". I quickly intervened and said "Excuse me?!?!? ... It's expired as you can see and we are aware". I then asked "Why didn't the lady say that when she was going over the paperwork?". Of course there was no answer. I honestly and genuinely did not know he could not take his test with his permit expired. Had I know I would not have gone up there to begin with. Since there was no service rendered and we needed to renew his permit at the DPS, I requested a refund. Unfortunately, it could not be done, the manager had to process it and she was out of the office until the following morning. The next morning I called to confirm the manager would be in but was told "oh the manager is out until Monday due to a family emergency and no one is available to process the refund ". Today is Thursday. This was a VERY unpleasant experience and a HUGE inconvenience. No service was rendered and the DPS will do a driving test for $16. This place charged me $80. I STRONGLY suggest you explore other locations and/or options if you can.
