I enrolled my daughter here and it's been a mess. She started taking the driving course with one of their representatives and she share awful experience with him. His car is dirty and smells. When she was driving, he would show his phone to her to show pictures. Offer her food while she was driving. Never told her what she needed to do while driving. This place is not good, when you call them for a question, they never answer. They should be closed by the city!! read more

When my son and I arrived we were told we needed certain paperwork to complete the process (He had already completed the Class portion of the driving test online). No worries, we lived nearby so we quickly went home got all the necessary paperwork, came back to start the process. One of the ladies at the front desk was going over EVERYTHING. Sign here, fill this out, sign and date here. After completing all the forms needed, and it is now our turn for the driving test. One of the instructors calls out my son's name and in a condescending, belittling tone says, "Read the expiration date and tell me what it says". I quickly intervened and said "Excuse me?!?!? ... It's expired as you can see and we are aware". I then asked "Why didn't the lady say that when she was going over the paperwork?". Of course there was no answer. I honestly and genuinely did not know he could not take his test with his permit expired. Had I know I would not have gone up there to begin with. Since there was no service rendered and we needed to renew his permit at the DPS, I requested a refund. Unfortunately, it could not be done, the manager had to process it and she was out of the office until the following morning. The next morning I called to confirm the manager would be in but was told "oh the manager is out until Monday due to a family emergency and no one is available to process the refund ". Today is Thursday. This was a VERY unpleasant experience and a HUGE inconvenience. No service was rendered and the DPS will do a driving test for $16. This place charged me $80. I STRONGLY suggest you explore other locations and/or options if you can. read more

The ladies at the front desk are a pleasure. The driver test guy was cool.. But that's it. I took my driver's test and passed, only to get to DPS to be told that this company is suspended and that they would not open the envelope because any test from this place is illegitimate. I am beyond upset and disappointed. I had to go over an hour to get to my DPS appointment only not to be able to complete the process at no fault of mine. I had to go another hour to get back to this place for them to tell me there was nothing that they could do for me until in the morning. That means another day off work to finish something that should have been done in the first place. Also, I trusted them once only to waste time, money, and gas. I will not trust them again. I got my refund and will seek a driving test elsewhere which upsets me more because I have already taken the test. Now I will have to do it again. How does any legitimate business not know that their license is suspended? Let alone let people come and take a test. I wasn't the only one there to take the test either, so there will be other people returning to them. This has forever made them shady in my view. If I could give it half a star I would. This place is an joke and rip-off for parents. My child was TOLD to give a 5 star review when done. Office we dealt with was horrible. Zero information relayed on how to complete the driving test and receive the drivers license when done. The cars are death traps and all need a lot of maintenance. I realize the amount of damage they can take however you would think they would put a learning driver in a safe and fully operational vehicle. If your not in the main location the students attend a Zoom meeting with the instructor - that's not they way I wanted my child to learn how to do one of the most dangerous things you can do. When your class time is done you have to register for ANOTHER website to schedule driving times - at a cost of 70$ - (7 hours thru the school) They will only allow 1 hour PER WEEK to be scheduled at a time so there goes any chance of getting that done quickly. Plus the 30 hours of parent driving you have to perform (also 1 hour per day) and IF you hit the 7 hours of driving school time before the 30 hours of parent training, they lock you out of the drivetime website and you have to keep track on your own. Gave us wrong information several times. Scheduled road test and we were on time, but had to wait over an hour. We had to go to three different locations for class, driving instructions, and road test. They did not tell us that until after they took money. Double charged us for road test. Worst experience I've had in my whole entire life. Instructors do not know proper English and yelled at me for going the right direction I was told to go. Do not send ur kid here. The car's are in terrible shape and the breaks are very hard to use. (you have to slam all the way down for them to stop). This business is a SCAM and keep finding reason to take our money. My sister's drive time appointment was at 6pm and we always shows up 10 minutes and wait inside their office until the coordinator arrives. On 11/24/21 got there 5:50pm, the office door locked, lights were off, we thought maybe the coordinator is not here yet. We waited in the car for 20 minutes until 6:10pm still no sign of anyone. I have to leave for work and cannot leave my little sister waiting outside their office alone. Next day we called back to see if we can set another drive time, they said they would call back. One week after no calls from anyone, so we tried to reschedule drive time online and they put a block on it and a $35 fee for no show. We call again and tell them to waive the $35 fee because we did show up but no one was there. They said they will talk to supervisor (Mary) and call back, and guess what still no communication from them. January 6th I called again, and have to explain everything once more just to hear from them 'We cannot waive the $35 no show fee because the coordinator was there, you have to pay because we call you the day before New Year but no one pick up'. Tell me why they keeps telling lies after lies! I did not get any call or voicemail from them. I asked for proof (camera footage, etc.) of the coordinator being there on time, they said they don't have it. The guy I spoke to said the supervisor (Mary) will call me back personally and sort it out (this was on 1/6/22). Jan 15th arrives and guess what still no phone call so I decided to call back and follow this through. They gave me MARY's phone # to call directly and she was no help at all, did not listen to our side of the story and why we are frustrated, she keeps demanding we pay the fee, but it was NOT OUR FAULT. She said she's going to LOOSE HER JOB if she waives the fee. They're NOT HONEST and INCOMPETENT to run this business and earn our hard working money. We paid $360 for a driving course and due to an error on my daughters permit (which stated she wore corrected lenses and she doesn't and has never had glasses in her life), they would not allow her to drive. That wouldn't have been an issue as they were apparently following rules and it was an error on her permit, not them. They however kept the money for the course even though they wouldn't let her drive. They then charged additional "no show" fees for future scheduled appointments even though they wouldn't let her drive and that was the reason we never went back. I had an appointment at 2:30 for a road test. I emailed my papers and confirmed my appointment the night before since they specify this speeds up the check in process. I arrived 5 minutes early, yet I wasn't helped until 2:52. The car used for the test was dirty and smelled a little funny. The brakes weren't that great, I had to push my foot all the way for the car to begin slowing down. The man conducting the test was awkward, he didn't communicate well. He just mumbled and made hand gestures when he wanted me to turn or gave me instructions. When we walked back into the building after the test, he went over to the printer then into the office and never communicated to follow him or anything. I followed him in, I figured he'd tell me if I wasn't allowed in there. Then he began speaking with his coworker laughing and talking while he got my papers ready. One of the instructors was confused about his left and right and almost caused an accident when my student was learning. He was shaking when he came home. I scheduled my child Sarah to do 4 hrs of road training and the DMV road test. I paid $385 for the services. After their first session, Sarah told me the 2 instructors driving with them took turns yelling at each other in another language and yelling at Sarah. They gave conflicting instructions and yelled at Sarah for not understanding. They made Sarah uncomfortable by repeatedly touching Sara's hands while correcting the steering wheel. They noticed Sarah wiping their hands because they were nervous and chose to point it out and loudly tell them to just calm down.Top it off with one of the instructors eating an apple during the drive deciding it's a good example to throw the apple out of the window while on the road. I call for a refund and they wanted to charge me for the drive session already provided. I felt additional accommodations should be made due the the poor services provided. I was told to call the boss Marie to sort it out. Marie said the best they can do is have me wait 2 days while she investigates the issue, but refused to pull in the instructors from their scheduled driving sessions to expedite the process and ensure the quality of the services they are providing. Instead Marie feels it's in the business best interest to continue to expose their customers to these instructors the rest of the day and through the morning shifts tomorrow before addressing the complaints. Services rendered were awful and the customer service dealing with the poor services received is unsatisfactory at best. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

My daughter is currently enrolled and they release times on Saturday morning at 11:30 so it's more like ready set go.... No times outside of school hours are available it's almost like playing the lottery trying to get a time slot that is not an inconvenience. Also I was able to get my daughter a Saturday slot last week yay right, no wrong, because I was able to schedule a Saturday class last week Saturday she now can't drive for another 6 days which means when Friday comes I can schedule something but they only post on Saturday and it's a first come first serve time slot. They only give you a certain amount of time to complete the 7 hours which I've already paid for an extension on due to the time slot war game they want you to play every Saturday. All I wanted was for my daughter to take this class so I could feel comfortable knowing she has been driving with someone else but I've only succeeded in signing myself up for drama. I had to learn the hard way, please take this as a warning... DO NOT SIGN UP I highly don't recommend unless you have free day time hours. Two teenagers and two passed tests. CFDS makes things simple from appointment to paperwork. Things are all set and I was impressed with them. There are no gimmes in life and driving properly is not exception. This is definitely not al pay to pass, a couple people failed and the staff was very kind to them. We passed first go, but of course we practiced a lot and often well exceeding the minimum requirements. Do yourself a favor and do at least 3x the minimums, go there with a good attitude and do well. read more

The road test didn't end well for me. There place smells like rotten soy milk. The instructor was extremely rude and she did not grade based off of 100 points as she was going to fail anyone for one mistake. The people in the front office were kind but the instructors in general were absolutely unhelpful. Story: As I was trying to brake, my instructor yelled so loud that I accidentally hit the accelerator and almost hit someone. As I am someone who would hold myself accountable for failing, her shouting at me repeatedly prior and at the moment made situations worse. I have been waiting to provide a review on this company. Parents please pick another place for your kids to learn. They have the worse parking space in the shopping center (west little York), they have the worse system to set up driving time. You have to login on Saturday at 1130 exactly and you have approximately 5 min to get a schedule time to drive. You can only schedule 1 time a week to drive and if you schedule in the later part of the week you will need to wait for the following week. Pay attention to the dates, I paid over $100 dollars + extra fees because the dates were expired. Some of the staff is nice so I don't blame them for the management that allows this to happen. They are always people coming in and phones are ring.. they need more staff! It is a very busy office so you don't get any attention to customer they put you on hold as soon as they answer and talk over you all the time. When we went in to finalize the road test the back manager I believe was horrible! We waited over an hour and a small office, they told us we were next but was taking forever. The manager Talked to me across the room telling what we should had done - they told us over a year ago! She was extremely rude and walked around fast paced rolling eyes and talking under her breath, she was walking so fast that i backed into her by accident and she said as soon dramatic and did not even apologize. I heard her make her comments on Spanish..very unprofessional! So parents don't waste your time at the end we do all the work anyways and doing the log etc. Or go pay for convenience for another place! It is not convenient, or cheap or even worth coming here. They stress to have things or else they will charge a fee but they don't do anything to make sure you have the tools. They withhold everything unless you zelle the money to a person. It seems that I share the same experience that many other parents on this review. This company will constantly charge you money while allowing their instructors to be aggressive and rude. My daughter told me that they were all essentially pressured to write goo reviews during their second week of instruction by the Teachers which is unethical. They charge you for the class, then charge you to sign up for their terrible website to later sign up for the instructor led driving class. They open up the classes on Saturday at 11:30 and the system FAILS. The classes book up so fast that it's nearly impossible to schedule a class. Then when you actually do, they make you wait another week until you are able to even see available classes again. They charged me $35.00 because I had to cancel, because my daughter and I were in an accident, had no way of getting to the school and were incredibly shaken up. I paid it but since then we continue to deal with aggressive instructors who yelled at my daughter and are on their phones. One yelled at her because she did not roll the windows down the way he wanted on a a rainy day. (Mr. D) Absolutely unacceptable. These owners/instructors need to be reported and they need to learn how to teach kids, not yell at them. I understand the need to be safe, but they have caused additional stress on these kids trying to learn by raising heir voices and forcefully stomping on the brakes, muttering under their breath in frustration. It's unprofessional and unsafe. Do not sign up for this school. I am with the other parents above. I will be reporting them and writing this review on every public forum. I asked for help multiple times only to be ignored and dismissed. This place is a total FRAUD they mistreated her and yelled at her while driving on her third time they gave her the wrong times and they are demanding an extra $30 for no show when it was not her timeslot the driver gave the incorrect times. The manager and owner are horrible and constantly lie and lie. They even lie in their own text messages then excuse themselves when you call them out in the messages of information. They turn the situation around as if my child is a trouble maker when she has only been following all protocol to try to get her license. They make up policy's and don't deliver what was signed and promised. This company lacks in professionalism and customer service. They are not just liars but on top of it all they lack in following what they say verbally or completing their jobs by signing a slip to get your permit. When we arrived to dps the slip was not signed and had to reschedule another slot with dps. On one particular occasion the driver screamed at my 16year old and tells her to turn the moving vehicle less than 30 secs where she almost ended up in a accident. The third time they lied of her time for driving practice. We were credited the $30 for supposedly NO SHOW when it was on their end. My daighter has requested to transfer and they want to charge more money to be transferred when it's no where in our signed contract. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! Do not waste your money!!! If I could give negative stars for this School I would. I was in the car with Mr. Dell when he decided to kick off his shoes and plant his feet on the dashboard. Not only is this unprofessional and disrespectful, what was even more shocking was the yellow color of his socks and the pungent smell radiating from them. It was freaking gross and I almost lost my sanity with the air conditioner blowing straight gas at my face from the emanating stench of Mr Dell's feet. The agenda of indecency did not stop there. It's a driving school, they are teaching people to drive, so naturally the newer drivers won't drive as well as someone who's been driving for years, so give them a little room when you see their training vehicles. I've had a pleasant experience with the facility and the owners. Shak and his co-workers are super friendly and are priced better than other schools in the area. Terrible kind of service. My friend just called me to ask "do you need an adults permit to then apply for you license?" It's common knowledge that when you turn 18, you can take the test to get your license without having a permit. Apparently not to these guys. And guess what? They wouldn't even count the permit he ALREADY had before the age of 18. We have been trying to get driving apts since late March (now first of June) and we have only successfully gotten in 2 appointments - -** AND ** one the 2nd apt the driving instructor/car keys - something stopped them from putting her in the car for the first 40 min. They had her drive for 20 min, one person said - well this session doesn't count so you'll have to sign up again. (KEEP IN MIND - you can only log in on Saturdays at 11:30 - after than there are NO TIMES to get driving lessons. Once full done. AND most weeks they only have lessons 2 or 3 days a week. NEVER on weekends. They lie like no one I have ever dealt with. Do Not Waste your money with them!!! AWFUL. They also have an F with the BBB. I just looked. If I could do 0 stars I absolutely would. My son is currently enrolled, and SHOULD HAVE been done SEVERAL months ago. When registering at no point is there verbal or written notice that the ONLY way to schedule 'drive sessions' is online through their portal that is AN ADDITIONAL cost to register for. I have scheduled his drives via phone with no issues before. As many have said they make up their own rules when it benefits them. I've dealt with Elsie(not sure if that's the correct spelling) who is claiming to be 'management' at the Queenston location as well as several of the staff members located at the Little York/Eldridge location. Some of the staff at the Eldridge location told me to call to book if I need additional hours because of the issues we have encountered.(you constantly have to repeat the same issues over and over). Elsie(who is NOT at the Eldridge location) decides to 'enforce' the rules that no more than 1 hour of drive time a week. The phones DO NOT just go to one location. Sometimes I will call Eldridge location, and Queenston location will answer. It's almost as if they purposely list drive times during school hours when they know a good majority of their students are actual STUDENTS IN SCHOOL. My son was registered and began August 2021. It is now March 2022. Again, he should have been done SEVERAL months ago. He is also missing time(that he has driven for) on his schedule to which Elsie continues to say is 'marked'. I have also asked for a refund on MANY different occasions(of course all of a sudden when I request my refund they find ways to make the schedule work then back to their BS). Again, there is no where written stating there is only 1 hour drive time per week or you can only sign up for these times via a paid web portal prior to signing up for this course. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. AVOID THIS SCHOOL. I will be sending this in to several of my superiors, BBB, and Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation. Darryl was my daughter's instructor and how he conducted business was wrongful..my 16yr old daughter paid money out of her own account to learn how to drive. Her 1st day the light was out on the vehicle and we told Darryl about it and he said they will fix it. 2nd day same issue with the light, the vehicle was running out of gas and he told my daughter thats just learning how to drive to go faster before they run out of gas...my daughter could have gotten seriously hurt or hurt someone else and the vehicle started to smoke. What makes it even worse he told her to walk back to the establishment In the dark because she didn't want to finish her session because she was scared...spoke with the owner about all of this and wanted him to give her a refund..he said No he's not giving it back...he practically robbed my 16yd old kid!! I have used this school with my 3 youngest daughters (2009 - 2016). My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner for my older 2. Convenient locations, great communication, easy to schedule drive times is what makes Cy Fair Driving school stand above the crowd. Highly recommend this school as they make the often confusing process of licensing your teen driver effortless. Even though they have multiple locations for parent convenience, you will find that the staff of Cy Fair Driving School will provide you, the parent and student, personal service and communication where you feel as though you are valuable to them!
