I came to this place after reading all the good reviews on yelp and I wanna share my experience as well. Calvin is a super friendly, patient and clear instructor. I was in a rush to get my license and he went out of his way to accommodate my schedule for both the adult course and the road test. Though I knew how to drive, he still helped me practice before my road test to hone my driving skills. Oh btw he's also bilingual (English and Mandarin) so if you're Chinese who doesn't speak perfect English this is the place for you! Everything went very smoothly and I would 100% recommend Dynamic Driving & Calvin to anyone! read more

I'm so glad that we decided to have Calvin work with my son! He was very patient and worked with my son since driving in Houston is a lot more dangerous than the suburbs. I felt that he gave my son great confidence and attitude to deal with different driving situations and drivers that he may encounter in the city. read more

Calvin offers private 2 hr driving lessons. It's a much more efficient use of time and you don't have to ride in a car with other new drivers. He is very patient and had easy to follow tips for difficult maneuvers like parallel parking and not drifting to one side. I would highly recommend this driving school. read more

Mr. Calvin was exceptionally nice and very easy to work with! We called and he answered immediately and was able to get my daughter set up for an appointment to do her driving test right away. My child was very turned off by Safeway. The instructor was too intense. Kids are more afraid to drive than we were in my day. Calvin is the perfect antidote to intense instructors. He is smooth, calm, gentle. I'm amazed at how my kid took to him. I will recommended him every day and any day. I don't think you will find anyone better in the Houston metro area. read more

Highly recommend! My son did a private two hour lesson with my son and then also performed his road test. Calvin has great positive energy, I felt more than comfortable having my son driving around alone with him, and his communication/scheduling was super easy and accomodating. I wish we signed up for driving lessons with Calvin sooner! My daughter went from anxiety and reluctance to driving with ease and confidence on busy city streets and a freeway in only 2 lessons! Calvin is a stellar guy. He's affordable, patient, and comedic. I sadly had my drivers ed first at Safeway. That was a big mistake. The class size there was too big and the driving instructors were either kind or complete coddlers to teen girls. Creepers were creeping there. But not at Dynamic Driving! Vroom! Vroom! read more

The staff here is very helpful! If you are in need of a driving school that speaks chinese, this is your place. They help people in both languages and will get them ready to take the written and driving test. Calvin is super friendly and makes driving school actually enjoyable. read more

This could have been a good experience like the rest of the reviews but I just didn't enjoy it. 1. Calvin was extremely distracting for me. He didn't do much actual teaching but spoke a lot. For example I would get to a stop sign and he would basically do it for me and repeat him send telling me to go with out letting me even stop , look both ways, and then go. So he is not really patient. 2. He was extremely offensive. I have driving experience and wanted to just refresh my driving skills, but he really treated me like a slow person and made me very uneasy the whole time with his teaching style. Also when going to pay him I had technical difficulties and had a brand new account that led to more confusion for me. He said "Most young people don't have a problem with using things like this" as if I'm special Ed and just don't know what I'm doing when I was just having technical problems with my account. So yeah he talked to me like a slow person the whole time and was a little arrogant sometimes. Luckily I had sense enough not to put more money into this because I went somewhere else and flourished and the instructor actually let me drive without the dramatics and as we went talked about the signs and explained the rules of the road and I experienced no pressure. He definitely is not for anyone with high anxiety or someone who wants to be told the actual rules of the road. read more

I don't have any driving experience. Calvin was very clear on the classroom and explained what to expect on busy Houston road. He carefully laid out what certain road signs mean, habits of a new driver, and summarized things all over again. He repeated important information so new students like me will remember. He's efficient, direct, and very helpful (I asked a lot of questions). Just what you need if you're eyeing for a good driving school. read more

I had a really amazing experience here, I was so bad and not confident at driving when I first started. Calvin is a really good instructor and he cares about his students!!!! As a parent of two very anxious drivers or learning to be drivers, Dynamic driving(Calvin) has really helped my kids gain the confidence they need to get in the road. Both my son and daughter were very frightened of driving and did not take well to it in the very beginning. We had started drivers ed elsewhere and even taught them ourselves but both children had a difficult time with it. Calvin was able to step in and slowly guide them from the beginning basics of driving and road safety onto the detailed things to look for when driving on the road. With each lesson they took, they were slowly able to build confidence in trusting themselves while continuous learning of the ins and outs to driving on streets, highways, and parking. Great big thanks to dynamic driving for the detailed instruction that was provided to both my kids. read more

I highly recommend Dynamic Driving -- Calvin is an amazing driving coach, and incredibly accommodating for my tight schedule to take both my lessons and the super convenient on-site driving exam. Calvin is patient and knows a lot of very useful tips & tricks to help you drive safely, responsibly, and comfortably at your own pace. I tried learning from my parents and was incredibly nervous on the road, but after my lessons with Calvin, I now feel confident and at ease while driving. read more

Great teacher and the people who work there are friendly and helpful. They genuinely want you to become great drivers and pass your test. I had Mr. Chao to teach me driving. I went from being completely inexperienced at driving to passing my driving test not too long after. He is very calm and patient and has a very simple but effective technique for parallel parking. I definitely reccomend taking lessons from Dynamic Driving as it was super helpful for my driving. Plus, I was also able to take my driving test (instead of having to go to DPS which is super convenient) and pass on my first try. read more
