DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS OR YOUNG ADULTS HERE PARENTS As an adult (34y/o) I was able to handle the situation but if you send your kids there alone and I'm sure as parents you are raising respectful kids the instructor Mrs Bernice will try to antagonize you with stories about car accidents while teaching you to how to drive which will cause anxiety for young adults or teens first time driving. She had students picking me up during their lesson and me picking students during my lesson that I paid for (mind you I paid her close to $1000) which I'm very sure parents are not paying for her to pick up other students in the middle of the lesson which is very unprofessional and unsafe. You shouldn't be going to people's homes without permission for safety issues. She had two students driving on Highway 249 and tricky intersections which are not safe for anybody especially a first time driver who isn't familiar with the area. I'm sure if you're familiar with 249 you know there are accidents almost weekly. She refuses to put any type of student driving decals on the car while having kids on the freeway for the first time which is very dangerous with all the road rage shootings in Houston right now. For all someone knows someone is cutting you off and not aware that the reason for someone whipping in and out of lanes is because they are a student driver. She had me come to the office multiple times and the door was locked, she wasn't there or did not answer the phone. She constantly reschedules the appointments and calls from multiple numbers. Like I said as an adult I was able to handle the situation but if you are leaving your young adults or teenagers alone with her I don't think they would be able to handle the situation because they wouldn't want to disrespect her as an adult and I'm sure very nervous. This is more of a "hood" get what you pay for type of school so I wouldn't advise you sending your teenagers there. My last lesson, which was supposed to be free, she stood me up twice because she didn't want to honor the free lesson (oh and I have my "receipts" as proof) because she figured she couldn't get any more money out of me since I picked up the driving pretty fast. She had me wait for 2 hours and pretended like her phone died so she didn't have to honor the lesson for free after I paid $40 twice for a ride share (round trip anyways) to get to her. I didn't mind paying her to pick me up for my lesson but she offered to pick me up for free but I did not want to be picked up on someone else's lesson I thought that was very tacky and unprofessional and if that was my child I would be highly upset. They didn't even know how to process a refund! I had to watch them google "how do you process a refund" and she said she wasn't responsible for keeping up with the finances of how much was paid for lessons. Well who is?
