As an immigrant, none of my family members live in Texas. Daycare has been my point of care for my children, so I can go to work to support them. Little Explorers Infant Academy has been a blessing for me and my family.... Here's what I think: Health and Safety: Ms. Deana and her administrative team have implemented many policies and procedures to ensure that children are safe, secure, and able to learn in a conducive environment. I am happy that I have barely had to stay home due to my children's illness from childcare. If my children pick up a common cold or anything that needs immediate attention, I will not send them to the daycare to ensure I follow the rules to keep other children safe from illnesses. We must do our part as parents. They will return after feeling better or following the protocols in place. Teachers: I can only speak from the experience of the teachers I have had. Ms. Celia is simply outstanding! My son loves her to the moon and back....and he is only 1. He has been with Ms. Celia since he was two months old, and he knows her and positively reacts to her. She is warm and motherly and makes me feel safe with him in her care. My sweet girl has been at Little Explorers since she was five months old; she will be 3 in November. She has had some great teachers, Ms. Dorothy, Ms. Rosie, Alejandra, etc. These are just a few that I can recall at the moment. Class: The small classes make classroom management, teaching, germ control, and learning engagement easier. I have visited a few other daycares that would have been a more leisurely, shorter commute to work, but they do not compare or have the standards set from what I have seen at Little Explorers! So my commute to work is longer, but I know that my children are around people trained and vetted to work in this facility. The administrative team: Ms. Deana, Ms. Stephanie, and Ms. Angie are a terrific trio of women who try their best to ensure that the kids have a holistic experience in their growth and development. We had high hopes for when we enrolled our son here. We had previously left a Kiddie Academy due to…read moremoving and we're so excited to find there was on near our new home. The experiences could not have been more different. The staff overall never seemed to know what was going on. Every day we would pick him up, the teachers would barely speak to us and because they were not fully filling out the communications portal, we had no idea how his day was. This brand has great curriculum and we saw our son grow tremendously at his prior location. Here, the kids just play all day while the staff stand around. It wasn't until the last week we were there that we started getting any hint that they were being taught the curriculum. There were also numerous times we picked him up and he had a full diaper, dried poop on his bottom, or he was in new clothes but we were not given the original clothes to take home to wash. We pulled our son after a month due to all of those reasons. I truly hope their staff gets trained up and leadership enforces the processes and standards these kids deserved. I will say, the morning staff (especially the woman who is in the 2 year old room) we dropped him off with were very friendly, he was comfortable with them, he always looked like he was having fun in the photos we got, and we never were concerned for his well being. Ultimately we just needed to do what was in the best interest of our son and find a better childcare facility with stronger communication and where we believe the students are growing and developing.

A response to Neha: Just because someone doesn't like your services doesn't mean that they're a competitor. As with my "infrequent" Yelp activity (although I'd consider seven reviews fairly decent), I'd like to point out that many of your five-star reviewers have far fewer reviews than I have. Yelp even removed one of your raving reviews because it violated their Content Guidelines under conflicts of interest (i.e. it was fabricated by an employee or family member). I would be happy to forward you the email addressing it if you're inclined to respond with, "we are unsure where you read that". Frankly, your responses are embarrassing and childish. I sincerely hope that you treat your regular customers better.

Speaking from the Mentorship/Research Project side, my mentor did not assist me at all with my project. My project was initially a website/program which revolved around the idea of mental health in adolescence. However, that program did not receive much success because my mentor did not help me on the publicity side. As a result, I ended up writing a research paper (on my own!) and got that published. To be clear, this research paper was solely created by me and had no assistance from the college shortcuts side. Now, I knew College Shortcuts would be a waste of time on the college preparation side, but my family and I chose to go through with the Application FastTrack Program (after my awful experience from the mentorship program) because of the ratings and how Neha portrayed that the program would look. When picking your colleges, they do not help you find schools which align with your profile. Specifically, if you are doing any extracurricular activities (or anything outside academics), they do not use those interests as your strengths in finding schools which best match you, or even schools which you have a great shot of getting into. Also, they made me write my essays before the official essay prompts came out. Now, this might have seemed like a good thing because of the practice. However, when the new essay prompts come out, they only go through the essay one time. So, you are left to check and edit the essays on your own. If you want to get another check, they charge per essay. If you feel that you are a good essay writer, you don't need this program because they don't really offer you anything. If you are not a strong essay writer, you can practice on your own or use free resources to help improve your writing. The only thing that they might be able to help you with is the steps to apply to college, but you can easily find those steps on Google for free. My family and I did talk to Neha about our complaints, but she would reword the phrases in a way which made the blame ultimately fall back on us. They took no responsibility for their lack of proper assistance in the college application process. I had to figure out how to apply on my own because College Shortcuts was not providing me with the information I needed to create a strong and successful application. Everything you need to apply to college is now on the internet. You really do not need to waste thousands of dollars on programs which will not benefit you in any way.

Then we send her to another daycare, she also very nervous and anxious...... When we sent her to GT for the first day, she even didn't cry. Ms Min hold her for a long time and she hold her hand all the time. all the teachers there show their love to her.
