Cut finger
Ben D.

Was told my son was running on playground fell and cut his finger.(on top of pinky) btw they decided to contact us 2hrs after incident. Picked up my son that afternoon then was told two kids fell(my son and another) but no one saw it. I asked to see video footage I was assured I could see it first thing in the morning. My fiancé went to view footage while I was attending via phone. The male owner was extremely rude and disrespectful to her to the point he was belittling her and telling her kids they have soft skin and it happens all the time. Well that's fine but the stories don't match up and neither does the cut to the story. After watching approximately 15 mins of footage it is found out that my son had NEVER RAN OR FELL! So now they are shocked bc the day prior I have and incident report filled out and signed saying this is what happened! The employee who signed the document was not even present outside when my son was injured but claims she picked him up off the ground after being injured! The video footage goes on to show that the real cause of the injury was an outside water fountain with extremely sharp edges. My son hunches over crying grabbing his hand in pain on video. Finally a teacher walks back outside 2 ft away from my son and walks ride past him crying as he is trying to show her his injury! Another teacher finally notices and goes wash the injury with water from the splash pad!(bc that is sanitary) then goes back inside while my injured kid stays outside and the teacher walks past him YET AGAIN and goes sit down and what looks like to go play on phone in corner. This place is a nightmare! Will make every excuse they can even with video footage! Police were contacted and case was reported as CHILD ENDANGERMENT! Officer said he would contact CPS and proper authorities as will I! Pictures are worth a THOUSAND WORDS but the video says a MILLION!

Stay away from this school with 2 brunches , it's owned by a husband and wife. My kids and myself were mistreated by the owner(the husband) and the director Nicole. I'm still documenting all that partnering with legal department but I wanted to warn everyone to stay away. Nicole is beyond rude, no surprise.. the owner is even worse. They pickup a phone and raise their voice and insult -just like that. My daughter came one day with a broken tooth, did I get a report? NO! Did anyone tell me about it ?? NO! I called and complained they answer was OH yes she fell in the gym!! REALLY!!!!!!! I went and picked up my kids immediately from the West RD location and pulled all their records and saw an investigation going on , looking at cameras, pulling days .. etc so apparently the story is bigger than this and I'm not the only one suffering. Stay away parents! Mr owner ... learn some ethics an use your manners when speaking to humans yes humans ! Before you see yourself out of business. My kids were accepted IMMEDIATELY at another school ( won't say name so you don't think I'm advertising here ) they're super happy and very well behaved. See picture as a proof!

It's clear that feedback is always mutually beneficial, leading to the best possible experience for my children. When I have had concerns, they have been typically addressed with thoughtfulness and care. If I feel there is an issue, the staff is quick to correct, and get to the root problem. The one area I could see for improvement would be around daily photo consistency. There are some days where the photos are flowing in, and others leaving us wondering what our children did for the day. It's nice to pair our conversations with them to photo proof. I would love to see more frequent daily photos so I can get a better, more consistent glimpse into my children's day and see their activities. I understand the staff is busy, and I want to emphasize that I'm looking for a smooth, efficient way to update this without it becoming an annoyance or a significant burden on their daily routine. Thank you again for everything your team does. We are very happy with our children's experience at Lycee Montessori.

We previously withdrew our child following a widely publicized incident involving offensive content sent out in a parent newsletter (which resulted in coverage on Fox 26 News). Recently, after re-evaluating the school and submitting billing information, an out-of-state relocation required us to cancel our registration within hours of payment. Rather than showing basic customer courtesy or flexibility for a same-day cancellation where no services were rendered, the administration refused a refund, citing fine print on a pre-enrollment paper that was never signed or contractually acknowledged. This pattern of administrative inflexibility and lack of transparency is unacceptable for an educational institution. The Search: I met and loved a Montessori director that was sooooo promising. The only problem was that her school was near Cedar Park, and we lived in Round Rock. I was having difficulty justifying the drive of 30 minutes one way to get us there each day. A friend suggested I search within my neighborhood, and I'm so grateful I did. By the time I toured Sunrise, I had been to two other schools. After my tour there, the decision was easy! I knew it was going to be the best place for us. The tour felt like I was talking with old friends; we discussed curriculum, daily plans for the children, the staff, and Montessori in general; best of all, we laughed and talked about parenting. We shared stories about our children, and I felt like, above all, it was clear they cared about the well-being and safety of my family as if it was their own. All of the administrator team felt at home! The Start of School: My daughter had an awesome first day of school, but then cried the 2nd day and on for about a week or two at drop-off. Each day she would cry, then I would cry because I felt all the feelings (guilt, relief, worry, etc) even though I knew it was the best place for her. I met countless parents who reassured me that it would get better. Her teachers reassured me it would get better, and the administrator team talked with me to let me know it would get better. One day, Ms. Nancy saw me in tears leaving and offered to give me a call within the hour to let me know how my daughter was doing. That call was what I needed that day and she didn't have to it, but she saw a need and met it with great joy! Those moments are priceless! The above and beyond support and care during that time meant the world to all of us. Now my daughter wakes up and tells me she's ready for school! Not only have the teachers and team at Sunrise cared for my daughter, they cared for me as well! It was a difficult process, and I'm so grateful for each and every member of there team. Teachers (in addition to my daughter's teachers who are awesome (Ms. Marie and Ms. Liz) like Ms. Destiny and Ms. Briana greet me every day and afternoon. Everyone I encounter has a smile and a warm disposition. Whether busy or not, my daughter wants to give hugs to the entire admin team (Ms. Laura, Ms. Lara, and Ms. Briana) daily! Now our leave time is longer than drop off because my daughter wants to say "see ya" to all her friends and teachers daily. I should also mention that Sunrise has been great about suggesting at-home resources to support a Montessori education so that we can reinforce what's happening there. At this point, if you're looking for a great team that will support you AND your family every step of the way...they are IT! What we pay financially far exceeds what we receive as an entire family because of this team! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!

She is very advanced for her age. She is very social! She is able to communicate effectively with peers her age and adults! She is reading, spelling, counting to 100, and adding. I never had to worry about her when I dropped her off in the morning. I knew she was in safe hands! She adored all of the teachers that worked there, especially Ms. Celia and Ms. Regina. If I ever had a question or concern, I would email the school and receive a prompt response. I also like how you have to ring a bell in order for someone to open the door. That's a great and effective safety measure compared to other surrounding daycares in the area. She will be starting kindergarten in the fall and she is well prepared thanks to the Montessori Preschool at Copperfield. We will definitely be back to visit them soon!

There was not enough toys for each child to have 1 toy each. When I mentioned it, a couple days later I saw them dump a bucket of old dirty used toys onto the floor. My daughter got bit & scratched and they didn't know how it happened.( there was around 5 kids in her class). ( I only kept her there a couple weeks because I started noticing these things and found another daycare to put her in asap) . Also they didn't have a refrigerator in the classroom to keep milk in, so the milk would be left in sippy cups all day hot. They would play videos ( I'm guessing YouTube kids) on an iPad everyday for the kids to watch. What was worse is not all the kids could see it, and they didn't have any toys to play with. they would put the couple toys they did have away. So they were just in this room with nothing to do. Their arts and crafts consisted of them taking a picture of the child holding a marker etc and then they would take it back from the child and give it to the next one to take a picture with. It was truly awful. There were cops there one day. No one is ever at the front or able to answer the phones. The cameras are always down & they point them where you can't see the majority of the class rooms anyway. Huge staff turnover & shortages all the time. Please go check https://childcare.hhs.texas.gov/Public/ChildCareSearch before taking your child anywhere. This gives incident reports etc on registered daycares.

Every time I check in on my kiddies while I'm at work on their classroom camera it gives me some relief that at least if I can't be with them their always doing fun activities and being taught in such fun ways. Even my K-5 after school kiddos teacher has story time with the kids and I love it. The teachers have amazing control of their classrooms without being rude or offensive to the children. I recall when I did the tour that it was so calm, fun and structured in "every" single classroom. I think the key is that the teachers are constantly engaging the kids throughout the day in some sort of activity. Of course, some kids want to do their own thing but from what I've witnessed on the camera they are gently invited back to the group to have fun together. The main teachers have been there for over 7 - 13 years so they are well experienced in teaching and facilitating a classroom. There also seems to be a fair amount of time for the kids to play at their leisure as well. I'm happy that all meals are included in the tuition and that they offer a variety of healthy meals and snacks. They teach Spanish and sign language too! What I love most is that at the end of each day they provide me with a daily report for my preschooler that includes actual pictures of my son doing the activities that align with the curriculum for that week. This allows me to see and save memories of him daily and it also confirms for me that the school is actually applying the curriculum they follow - a lot of daycares will initially sell you on the robust academia program they have but don't always follow through, so applauds to Cadence for the integrity in which they operate daily. Ms. Merlinda, Ms. Rose and Ms. Amanda are the most patient, caring, and loving teachers. We're so blessed and honored to have them caring for our kiddos. I've been sending my children to daycare for over 8 years and Cadence has raised the bar in the most pleasing ways. I never knew the environment my children were missing out on. I wish we had enrolled with them earlier but I'm happy to be here now and my 20 month old has a fun, nurturing, educational and engaging future ahead at the school.

My child got moved to other classrooms a lot. Her classroom only had 1 teacher so if the teacher ever had to miss they just moved all the kids over. When they did that I couldn't see her on the monitors. I think the teachers were getting kids confused because they would mark they changed my daughter's diaper, and I would come check on her & her home diaper would still be on. ( daycare diapers had her name written on them as required, so I could also tell if she had been changed or not.) sometimes she would go 5 hours or so without a real diaper change. Even though it was marked in the app that they had changed her. They would mark that they fed her 8 oz & then my 4 oz breastmilk bottles would still be in the fridge. So I think they were giving her someone else's milk. Also I could walk in & they would ask me which child was mine. So that definitely worried me. You don't have to be buzzed in( you do have a code) but if someone was in front of you, anyone could slip in while someone else was walking in the school & the teachers didn't know who the kid was much less what the parents looked like. They had pictures of the babies in their own classroom, but since they had to always move them to the older room their pictures weren't in there. Since there was only 1 teacher that meant babies were left crying while she held one baby, or changed a diaper or fed any of them. I'm pretty sure it was the cafeteria staff that would come relieve the teacher for her lunch break. They were all nice people but extremely under staffed, with a high turnover over rate. We left really shortly after we started and found an amazing daycare where there are 4 teachers for about 10 babies. Even the toddlers class has 3-4 teachers all the way until they are two. And we pay less now. The new school has better cameras & more security. Unlimited log ins at our new school. The infants have their own "playground" and go outside everyday weather permitting. it's covered so you don't have to worry about the sun as much. **** update. I didn't post my first or last name on yelp. So that makes sense that you couldn't pull my name off of any database. I also believe it was my spouse that registered our child. However, my child did attend this school. I struggled to post this because I truly thought the staff was nice. But as a parent I would want to know the experience we had. The school was just severely understaffed & everyone was new. Teachers walked out in the middle of the day & quit it got so bad. Those things can be fixed. Thank you for your response, and the invitation to speak with you.

After going on tours to other preschools, we knew this was the place to be. CMS has a clean, safe environment and wonderful staff. As an educator, it's a beautiful thing to see your children blossom with academic knowledge and as an independent whole child. I was nervous at first of my boys being away from home for the first time. There were tears from my 3 year old while adjusting the first couple of weeks. (My 1 and a half year old didn't mind the change at all.) The staff did a great job keeping us updated on how they were adjusting through the many check in calls during their first week. Now they are both social butterflies with many friends! My 4 year old really loves his teachers and wants to come back for his Kindergarten year. CMS has a lot of extra curricular programs that visit the school. Soccer, basketball, fun bus, firefighters, Santa, petting zoo, etc. CMS also offers teacher and sibling discounts which is awesome. Our main focus for our boys was to get an academic boost before elementary school and Champions Montessori has done that and so much more. CMS was a great educational investment for our family and I highly recommend this Montessori School to everyone.

The owners, Mrs. Ryann and Mr. Nick treated us like family and I always trusted leaving my kids with them. Obviously, I highly recommend Champions Montessori!

I was really excited about him attending the…read moreschool because it was a Montessori and they were more reasonably priced than where my daughter attended several years before plus they provided diapers/wipes. Ms Abby seemed very professional and stayed on top of everything happening at the school. Everything was going good until it wasn't. He'd caught hand, foot and mouth after attending for a few weeks, had a couple of falls, one that I felt was a little suspect because he was sleeping on the cot and apparently there was a metal part that when he got up being only 1.5 at that time he was wobbly and hit his head causing a nice little cut. I excused because things can happen and he'd just really learned how to walk but I didn't understand why they would have cots with metal exposed in that way. Nevertheless we continued moreso because he seemed happy there and we were saving compared to others in the area. The final incident was when he was bit by ants in the yard. No one called me, Ms Abby just sent an email. When I got home and my MIL who picks him up from school asked me if they'd called and I said No, then checked my email I was furious. They'd called several other times when his temperature was slightly elevated even after taking him to a doctor and letting them know there was no cause for concern (mild congestion) but not this! My son's arms were filled with bite marks and I immediately called Ms Abby but it was about 630 that day. She didn't answer or call back. I was traveling the next day (Friday) and she said she called back but I didn't see a missed call or receive a vmail. We didn't discuss until Monday when I got back in town. She was very nonchalant about it and apologized but couldn't assure me of anything. She said the teachers didn't know there was an ant pile in the yard, which told me they aren't really paying attention to the kids like they should outside nor were they properly safeguarding the yard. She said they'd removed the ant pile but it should have never happened. I also informed her of a possum I saw one day a few weeks before and asked if she knew that they were around her property and she looked really surprised. My son was speech delayed at that time and Ms Abby and one of the teachers who was assisting outside kept pointing out that he didn't even cry he just came to them with his arms out showing them the ants crawling on him. Imagining that still haunts me) In that moment, there were too many things she didn't know and I realized this was an unsafe place for my son and we had to find another school for him. It would have been a nice gesture to return the remaining tuition we'd paid but she and her partner (who is her dad) refused to give me the money back for the remaining weeks that we'd paid for that month. That told me they took no responsibility for their neglect. I was supposed to forgive and forget. If there was someone else who could watch my son his last day would have been the day of the incident. We were able to get him moved a week and a half later. I would have never forgiven myself if anything else happened to him. It could be a 4 or 5 star review had I been lucky enough to not have my kid have this experience but when they are met with challenging situations to navigate, I was able to see their true colors. Being reactive versus proactive is just not acceptable when dealing with children. I couldn't afford to risk any other incidents at my son's expense. We sent him to the more expensive Montessori and he has been thriving there. I guess you get what you pay for.

He moved to the next room after he turned three and it quickly went downhill. He spent numerous days in "the office" without any notification for me until I got there to pick him up. I would have appreciated some sort of communication that he had been spending hours in the office, which was a glass room with a dining room table. My son had just turned three, one day I came to pick him up and the "owner "said he refused to put his shoes on and told him he couldn't go back to his class until he put them on by himself. He's three, and it was literally the first day he had ever worn shoes with laces. He had no idea how to untie them, they were in double knots. Another day I went to pick him up and he had been in the office three or four times that day for random things, and the "owner " told me he was harassing other students. I was never called nor notified of this behavior. Just walked in to my 3 year old son in "The office" for idk how long. One day I went to pick him up, and they told me he wasn't welcome back. Again never called or notified until I walked in the door. The "owner " also complained in a letter to all parents that children shouldn't be getting out of their cars after eating food on the way to school, that they could make it from the house to school without eating. And that many of the parents cars look like bombs went off inside them. I don't know how this man is over a school, but it was a terrible experience.
