There seemed like there was no plan for the summer, they made my five year old take long naps even though he doesn't take naps and we were originally told that he would be able to play while the younger kids did. Every time I went in there there were different teachers. The internet viewing was down. I just had a bad feeling about it starting from the fact that no one gave me a call to even let me know what was going on. I decided to take him out. I called and left two messages on two different days and they couldn't even give me the courtesy of a phone call back. Apparently thats how they do business now. In the infant room babies are left to cry it out (even two months olds) and in the toddler room kids are forced to become independent before they are ready. Montessori is all about following the child but there they want a 18 months old to be able to dress themselves and leave them to cry out of frustration for up to an hour. I have picked my daughter up in soiled diapers several times and In numerous occasions the diapers leaked through her pants. If you have special dietary restrictions be sure that they will be ignored even if you specifically write them out. My vegan daughter got dairy and eggs for 2 months until I finally found out about it. They will put children in danger. They put my daughter into an adult sized chair during a meltdown and let her fall off TWICE and did not even repay the unused tuition for that month when I finally took her out of the school. Tried to meet with them for a month but it never ended up coming to a meeting since the owner insisted that 2 other employees should be part of the meeting which shows that she doesn't even truly care about the situation. Stay away from this place if you care about your child's wellbeing.

My review and experience is based on the infant room only. I had multiple bad experiences in the infant room with two of the caregivers in particular. I gave instructions on how to feed my 4 month old baby at that time that was not followed. Also on one occasion my baby had a blow out and her soiled clothes was placed in her bottle cooler without being placed in a separate plastic bag. I still gave the daycare a chance because I realize no daycare is perfect. The last straw is when I was picking up my baby and she was isolated from the other infants and caregivers on the opposite side of the room. I was extremely upset. I asked the caregivers how come she was isolated and I was told because her bouncer was there, which makes no sense considering the bouncer was not nailed to the ground. I spoke to the owner the next morning and she appeared to be very attentive and receptive to my concerns. The caregivers had already spoke to her prior to the next morning, which is most likely because they knew I was going to report them. They told the owner the reason my daughter was in the corner away from everyone is because they didn't want the other babies (that are the same age as her) to hurt her and I get mad. This was absurd because I never said anything about my baby being hurt by other babies in the "infant" room. This was very unacceptable and was a form of child neglect. The supervisor said she would talk to the caregivers. That same week there was no change in their behavior, they never spoke when I picked up my baby, they would just hand me my baby and say nothing for the most. They wouldn't verbally tell me how my daughters day was even after the discussion I had with the owner. Never once did the owner try to rectify the situation by giving me a update or a corrective action plan, which let me know she didn't really care as well. I sent the owner a email explaining why I was removing my daughter from the daycare and I never received a response.I removed my baby from Happy Times within a week of this occurrence. My baby now goes to Principrin and she is so loved and taken care of, and I don't have worry in the world when I drop her off. This was my experience with Happy Times Academy, it was a horrible experience. No parent wants to feel an uneasy feeling when they trust caregivers to care for their children. And I realize that perhaps every caregiver may not care personally for a parent but a professional demeanor should always be maintained, especially when taking care of children.

However, after there was a change in ownership, HTA has improved so much! From the remodeling of the rooms and cleanliness to the live updates on the app and improved monthly newsletters. I love all of the improvements that have been made. Before the new management, I did not like the unpleasant smell that the daycare sometimes had. Now, the daycare always smells and feels very clean. Although I never had a problem with the previous owner/management, I can see that the new management is more caring about the children and about parents concerns. The teachers have all been awesome. My daughter is happy to go to daycare everyday and that gives me a sense of security and tranquility. She is 20 months now and she has been knowing most children lullabies/songs, how to count to 6 in Spanish and English (she gets a little mixed up from 6-10), can sing the ABC's, says please & thank you, just to name a few things. We practice most of these things at home but being that she's at daycare most of the day, I have to thank her teachers for that. This month will be the first month that there will be holiday events/festivals since the previous ownership and we are super excited to see what everything is going to be like.

My children were always targeted by the staff and owner regarding typical behavior that toddlers have. If you're not capable of handling young children why work there or even own the place? About a month ago my youngest child was not being supervised and was injured pretty badly from a fall, the owner had no clue what had occurred and I was provided an assumption of what was believed to have happened to my 2 year old son. Long story short, the owner Ann Ezumah took her sweet time to half ass respond to my serious concerns as a parent because she was away on vacation. After providing me footage of how it actually occurred it was addressed with no urgency she also never met with me in person only over message and email. What owner do you know does that? Honestly. Fast forward: Now that school has begun only 2 of my children remained there as the older one started Kindergarten. They tried to be slick and continue checking in/out my oldest son to make NCI claims. Fraud. They are a money hungry establishment with more "chill and fun" days that require parents to fund them money for said activities rather than more educational days. Every other week there was something they needed money for at the last minute too which explained their disorganization and lack of care for their students and families that keep their business running. Today they messaged me (yes messaged me) that my three year old son could no longer attend due to "behavior" and even went on to use the words "physical assault" on teachers which is almost hilarious because a 3 year old physically assaulting someone just sounds so ridiculous. Ann, the owner couldn't even be professional as the face and representative of her business to meet with me in person for this matter. Also there is NEVER an accredited director or at least assistant director to bring the students in during arrival. Only teachers and their cook, sounds worrisome huh? I will be reporting them to the state of Texas and NCI in effort to possibly help their establishment turn their unprofessionalism around! So I'm probably doing them the greatest favor and the owner probably just needs some help. Save your hard earned money and research better childcare facilities in the area if you're ever in need and save yourself the headache!!!

They are attentive, nurturing, and skilled at creating an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning. The school itself is well-maintained, with plenty of resources to support a variety of educational activities. Unfortunately when their AC system went out for a couple of days, they did notify us and even told us to pick up our babies before 5pm, so it would not be too hot for them. They are constantly updating us and ensuring us their safety through the brightwheel app. Their support and assistance cannot be greatly appreciated enough!
