It took her two weeks to call me back after my initial inquiry (she was on vacation), which might have been fine if it hadn't been followed by repeated lapses in communication. She promised to call me back and didn't, and when she canceled my son's first official session just two hours before, she only sent a text and email. She never confirmed I'd seen the message, and by the time I arrived with my kids, it was too late. My son, who struggles with sudden changes, had a meltdown. Backup staff could have easily prevented this. After my friend spoke to a manager, the owner called me the next day and promised Shelby would contact me to reschedule. That call never happened--this was even before we hosted my son's birthday party at K2. To be clear: Bailey, who led our trial session, was amazing. She took time to work with my son at his pace and made him feel comfortable. The birthday party staff were also friendly and helpful, even with a small hiccup of my son's name being spelled wrong on the cake. Bottom line: I'd recommend K2 for parties, but I would not recommend the SOAR Adaptive program. The lack of communication and follow-through from Shelby made it clear to me that this program is not managed in a way that meets the needs of autistic children and their families.

My eldest, who has always been able to sit and draw on her own for hours, walked in when she was very young and without even knowing what the business was for said "Oh! I really like it here!" even though she usually did not like any place but home. My younger daughter who is constantly moving and very active loves it too, it helps her focus and learn. Even living an hour away, we came back for a course this last semester. Both girls came away with more confidence, technique, and several fantastic pieces of art. The new location is well suited to creative expression with a beautiful, fairy-land style garden in the back where, during longer classes or camps, the instructor allows the class to stretch their legs and minds on a short break. At the camps, us parents get to enjoy a live show and get a recording from their band at the end of the week. They always want to come back to the "young and fun" staff (their words, not mine) and Caroline runs all the programs so well and is so kind. They even performed at a neighborhood festival for free and gave out prizes to the kids, everyone in our neighborhood loved it! Unfortunately, my experience with the owner/manager within the first two weeks was disappointing. I enrolled two of my three daughters--one in guitar and one in piano. Scenario 1: On the day of our first lesson, my oldest daughter (the guitar student) had just been to the doctor and received multiple shots in her arm. She was in pain and physically unable to hold or play a guitar. I called ahead to ask about rescheduling and was reminded of their strict 24-hour cancellation policy. The only alternative offered was a Zoom lesson, which didn't address the issue since she couldn't play at all. I brought both kids in anyway and spoke directly with the owner/manager (Caroline). She reiterated that the policy exists to ensure instructors are paid for reserved time. When I asked if there were any exceptions for situations like medical issues, she said no and added that she has run the business for 20 years and that other parents are fine with the policy. I asked a hypothetical question--if we were in a car accident on the way to a lesson, would the policy still apply? She confirmed that it would and the money paid for the spot will not be refunded nor the lesson rescheduled as a make up. I used the car accident e.g. because we were involved in one about 3 months ago. Scenario 2: The following week, I brought all three of my daughters because I didn't have childcare for my 5-year-old. While I was finishing paperwork, my youngest followed her sister into the guitar lesson room. As I went to sit in on the lesson, Caroline stopped me and explained that it was against policy for an unregistered student to be in the room. I clarified that my 5-year-old would simply sit quietly on my lap and not participate. Despite this, Caroline maintained that it wasn't allowed due to "insurance reasons." She confirmed that I could sit in on the lesson--but my 5-year-old (an "unregistered student" as she referred to her) could not be in the room. That left me with the choice of either leaving my child unattended in the lobby or standing outside the room. We ended up standing in the hallway and watching through the glass. As a parent, I prefer to be present during lessons so I can better support my kids' progress at home. This situation made that difficult. Outcome: The day after scenario 2 occurred, I received a call from Caroline informing me that both of my daughters were being disenrolled because I seemed unhappy with their policies. To be clear, my concern wasn't just the policies themselves--it was the lack of situational awareness and the unwillingness to have a reasonable, human conversation - life happens. The repeated emphasis on "policy" without any attempt at understanding the circumstances made the experience frustrating. The irony of this all is that I had sorted out an arrangement for my 5yr so I don't have to take her with me to subsequent lessons per the "Almighty Policy". While the instructors were excellent, the customer service experience literally drove us out.

They recently requested recycle-able materials from home for the each classroom to make a project for Earth day and I cannot wait to see what they create! It's a great place for your kids to learn Spanish and have fun. After four weeks our daughter came home singing a complete song in Spanish and she routinely hugs and kisses each staff member upon departure. I know she is loved and she loves it there!

I was pregnant and hurting and needed my nightly stretch in the pool which is the main reason I paid to go there and I can't use the hot tub while pregnant. Arrived at the same time as usual. There was another person swimming but the man present didn't like women or I don't know but he told me "it's closed" and didn't give me an explanation. I question and shared how I REALLY need to stretch I'm in pain and it's supposed to be open another 40 minutes on schedule and there is clearly another person swimming in front of us, so how can it be closed? He just yelled at me and still didn't tell me why. I have no idea who or why he was there. Cane other days when pool was support he open and they had signs saying closed" when it was supposed to be open. They don't really have a good amount of machines other than tons of treadmills compared to LA fitness. And as others mentioned they stay broken a long time. But I need to work my back and don't use free weights. The hot sauna was broken for MONTHS! And was so unclean inside. I couldn't believe I had been sitting in there. But I'm sure it was due to the lady exfoliating herself and no one cleaning it! It makes me want to vomit thinking of it. I wanted a water yoga class but they didn't have evening classes for me. Only during the day when I couldn't go. For a large expensive place it makes no sense they could not hire for evening classes. Kids area-while I don't trust anyone to watch my kids personally, my best friend had a terrible experience there. Other kids would bully her kids and staff didn't seem to care. She could only take her kids a set limited time during the day so too bad if you can't make that block of time despite the fact you pay twice as much to bring kids you can literally only go when they say you can because pools and splash pads for kids aren't open or are closed constantly. The last straw was her son was arguing with his sibling as siblings do, but it was handled terribly. Instead of going to get her if there was indeed a problem , the staff dragged him down the hallway and when he thought he was out of sight, she saw him throw him on the ground. In seven years, I have attempted to contact the general manager on multiple occasions with concerns and do not believe I have ever once spoken to him. That says everything. Where do I begin. The issues at this club have been so numerous and consistent that we feel obligated to warn others. Our son was kicked out of the weight room for wearing cotton pants and a t-shirt. When we called to complain, we were told there is no apparel policy against this. He was humiliated for a rule that doesn't even exist. Last Friday, my husband and I drove to the club to use the hot tub, only to find it closed two hours early for an employee meeting -- no sign on the door, no website notice, no email to members. We weren't alone: multiple other members were standing at the locked door, just as blindsided as we were. The weight room and pool are unmonitored at this time anyway so it would have cost nothing to leave one person at the front desk so paying members could at least get in. Most recently, a family friend who is a college swimmer and a fellow member of this very facility was helping my child work on swim strokes in the pool. Staff told us to stop and nearly removed us, citing a rule that only VillaSport trainers can provide instruction. No consideration was given to the fact that this was a fellow member, not an outside instructor, doing something kind for a friend. The billing situation has been a saga. After we changed our payment method, the club kept charging our old card and hit us with late fees through no fault of our own. When we tried to resolve it, we were referred to corporate in California instead of getting help locally. Staff gave us contradictory and outright incorrect information -- one person told us there were no late fees on our account at all, and when we logged in ourselves, we found multiple. We had to fight to get most reversed, and one remains on our account to this day. During Covid, we chose to continue paying our full membership fees a gesture of loyalty to the club and were promised guest passes in return. It seems like every time we have tried to use one, we have been told there are none on our account. We pay over $400 per month for this membership and can't bring a friend occasionally?! And then there's the facility itself. Mildew in the locker room Jacuzzis is not what you expect from a club charging luxury prices. We originally joined in large part so we could relax in the indoor hot tub while keeping an eye on our younger children in the play area and pool. That Jacuzzi sat nonfunctional for roughly two years. The club's solution? A sign next to the jets button reading "bubbles are for outside tub only" -- as though reframing a broken amenity as an intentional policy was somehow acceptable. And there is an indoor-outdoor hot tub with a sliding glass door between the two sides that would be perfect for families and kids. We have been members for seven years and have never once seen it open. The food situation is almost too on the nose. A facility billing itself as a luxury wellness club has replaced wraps and salads with pizza, hot dogs, and hamburgers as its only food offerings next to $12 smoothies (made with powders and no actual fresh fruit). Make that make sense. After seven years, the pattern is clear: this club prioritizes attracting new members and pushing additional fees (personal training, add-on services) over actually taking care of the members it already has. We joined for a place of rest and relaxation but every time we walk in the door, there is some kind of issue! The saddest part is the wasted potential. Cypress is a tight-knit community that would embrace a place like this -- but the experience here is night and day from the sister location in The Woodlands. VillaSport claims to be a luxury club built around community, yet at every turn they discourage exactly that by the way they treat their members. As my husband put it, we've never seen a place that bills itself as luxury have such poor customer service. At this point, the only things keeping us here are the pool -- which we don't have at home -- and the fact that it's around the corner from our house. The rows of seats are graduated like a small movie theater. The lighting was great. The actors wear mics to enhance the sound. The offer popcorn and snacks for purchase. You can also purchase bottled water. If you want an alcoholic drink, you must purchase a "Stageworks" tumbler for $20. It comes filled with your drink of choice on the first round and then you pay for the addition drinks with a by the glass cost. You can bring the tumbler back each time. There was a little bit of a wait at intermission for the bathrooms. Of course, us ladies always have to wait no matter the venue. The staff were great in assisting us to the other more hidden restrooms. Everyone was friendly and the night was terrific. The theater is in a shopping center. Parking is free. You can buy tickets online and then pick them up at will call.
