I absolutely love this theater venue. It is the perfect size - not too big and not too small. I love the more intimate settings. I have seen many plays here in the past couple of years and most recently saw Charlie Brown! I highly recommend seeing shows here. It is also super affordable compared to the Hobby center.

Really friendly staff with good local productions. I would be back for sure even though it was kind of a drive. We say Rocky Horror production and had a blast!

Very fun thing to do in NW Houston. I've mostly seen the youth programs. We've got some really good talent out there.

Great academy for children and phenomenal main stage productions. Can't wait to see their upcoming production of Spamalot!

This review is for their performance in Houston…read more If you've been to other Cirque Du Soleil in the race park before then you know that there's no way around paying for parking. It will cost you $12 to park. The good thing about the parking is it was super organized so even though there were long lines of cars trying to park, the lines were moving; and once I had paid, the attendees directed me where to go and it took me less than a minute to park. Before you can enter the Grand Chapiteau, you have to go through your typical security measure. There are no metal detectors but they will look inside your purse if you have one. I was here with my sister and she didn't have a purse so we didn't even get checked. She did have a jacket on her but they didn't check it. This means you could sneak in your own snacks/drinks should you be inclined to. Why would one be inclined to sneak in their own snacks/drinks? Well, a bottled water/soda will run you $5. Nachos will run you $10. A Cotton candy will run you $8. Hot dog will run you $7. You see where I'm going with this? If you're coming here with your family (kids, wife, girlfriend, whatever), then you be better be ready to be dropping some $$$$. As for the show, it's your typical CDS stage/seating. You have the round stage with the seats surrounding them. I was lucky enough to get good seats to the right side and three rows from the stage so I was able to see everything clearly. If you opt to sit toward the back, some times you can't even see the faces of the performers clearly. The show started at eight on the dot. Some of the performances are pretty typical CDS where it would amaze you what a human body can do with training (contortionist, balancing act, juggling). Some of the other acts were more creative (invisible circus, finger dancing, animal impression). One act in particular was a combination of both where you have this dude playing yo-yo in the middle of the stage, but holy cow, he could control them yo-yos like they were a part of his body. I felt like he should have been competing in international yo-yo championship or something. All in all, I was happy with the show. This was also my sister's first Cirque Du Soleil and so everything was brand new to her and she was thoroughly impressed with the performances. CDS is always a fun event to go to and I definitely will go to whatever other Cirque Du Soleil shows that would make a stop in Houston.

Houston parking was $12; I parked the furthest away and still it wasn't far from the tent. I was concerned that the AC might not be working from a heads up review 4 days earlier...but, thankfully the AC was on and blowing good!! Toilets looked like porta pottys but they actually had lights and hooks to hang your purse---speaking of...I walked in the stall and there hung a yellow bag and a Kurios souvenir! I was like...HOW can one forget ALL that? Turned it in to an employee...hope the lady got her stuff back. The seats are small and very close together...I chose an end seat so I'd only have one person beside me. My seats were stage right 8 rows back...awesome! Show was exciting...as usual, I was amazed. Do yourself a favor and attend a Cirque de Soleil soon...it's well worth the $$$

Ya know, I could watch elementary kids perform Grease and I'd still like it cuz the musical has always been that nostalgic goodness I can't get enough of. It's definitely not broadway. It's low budget for the set and props. And tbh it looked like the actors weren't really into it and lacked enthusiasm. Idk. A few of them were really good though. I actually saw Grease on a cruise recently and it was a lot better there. There I left singing the songs in my head but here just didn't have that pizzazz. Doors open 15 minutes before showtime. There is a Concession bar but it wasn't open during intermission. And only water can be brought into the theatre per staff. Twix bar and water was $4. The restrooms are small and it's 1 urinal and 1 stall for everyone including the actors who I saw scrambling to use it during the intermission. Theatre itself has no bad seats. But Note the two chairs on each end of the front row are regular movable chairs and not the numbered theatre chairs attached to the ground. The play did start about 5 minutes later than curtain time as people kept trickling in. Programs are on laminated bills that you return at the end of the program.

Wow. They may not charge a lot for tickets but be prepared to be amazed at the outstanding talent!…read more It's a small theater set off of NASA Road One that truthfully I never knew was there until a friend was in their production of "Legally Blonde The Musical"; it's super easy to find, but the parking is a little funky as the lot's lines are almost non-existent. It's not real big and it's not real fancy, but who cares? The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of room between seats so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of one another like in a movie theater. The sound system and lighting is fantastic! We have some seriously talented people in the Clear Lake area and they all congregate here! They do have a small concession area with drinks and snacks; my bottle of water was $1.00. You can't beat that! They also have BYOB with a teeny $3.00 corkage fee that includes two glasses. They do a lot with a little; the sets aren't super elaborate but they work hard at making them believable and part of the show. Plus, it's okay to use your imagination; you don't have to have everything spelled out for you with CGI. The bathroom is behind a curtain house right, so if you sit house left you will have to cross in front of the stage if you need to use it during the show. Not a huge thing, just be aware. The show was sold out today, and it was delayed a few minutes since they were trying to find seats for the waiting list people. It was fine though, as everyone was in a good mood and ready to enjoy. Buy your tickets online though to make sure you get the seat you want, and get there fairly early. The show today started at 2:30 pm; I got there around 2:00 pm and got a good seat. I can't say enough great things about this place and the people. This is a real hidden gem in this area and if you haven't checked it out you have been missing out! Why travel into Houston when we have such fantastic talent right here in Clear Lake?! Stay local and enjoy all that Clear Creek Community Theater offers!
