They were one of about ten places I called and they ended up making the most sense for us. We drove our U-Haul on a Saturday and Sunday, and our son started school here the following morning. And for just over a year, everyone was really happy with the arrangement. Our son loved it, it was close by for us and his teachers really seemed to enjoy him. I don't want to understate any of those aspects: we were all as happy as we could be. The reason we're no longer at FCKA is actually another reason that we are grateful for the staff here. Our son has had some developmental issues and ultimately, they felt he would be better served at a different school that specialized in providing the type of attention he needs. This was a pretty self-less thing to say because it ultimately costs the school money to lose a student, plus a student that was loved by so many teachers, despite his difficulties. The only issue we really had with this entire situation is that it was a bit abrupt. We know our son is a handful. And often times, I would vent to the staff at pick-up or drop-off about how crazy he was the day before. But the reaction was always the same: laughter and something along the lines of "oh, that's the same guy we see here haha." So our impression was that they did not have any serious problems with him. This was the feedback from every person my wife and I ever dealt with. But then one day, we were told that it was actually a very serious issue, which we were taken aback by. I think what really sparked this is that they never re-opened the doors to allow parents to drop off or pick up kids from the room. We always had to wait outside, which generally led to less face-time with the teacher. Occasionally you would get a moment at the front door, but there was almost always a line of cars waiting, so those moments were always rushed. I understand it was probably logistically easier this way, but it was probably the one thing I would have changed about FCKA. We truly really enjoyed everything else about sending our son here and will always think of them fondly when we drive by.

I had been told…read moreabout caring corner and when I went to check it out myself was pleased with how genuinely nice the staff was and how clean the facility was. All of the children were all very engaged in their teachers and were enjoying their surroundings. My daughter has grown by leaps and bounds in education and speech. Learning to write her name and recognize letters. She enjoys going to school and never gives me a hard time about it like she has at past day cares. I am glad we made the decision to place her here where I know she is cared for and watched after.

Rather than using this as an opportunity to work with us and help him adjust, the director Leyla chose to immediately expelled him, saying that they could not risk having an investigation against the daycare. I understand that childcare providers have to take children's statements seriously. However, I expected an early learning center to recognize that young children sometimes say impulsive things when they're testing boundaries, especially during major life changes. I was extremely disappointed that there was no attempt to partner with us or help him succeed before making the decision to remove him from the program. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Caring Corner to families whose children may need patience, understanding, and support.

I came in to College Nannies and Tutors today expecting my orientation. I was excited to start my new part time job and especially because I've been looking for a good opportunity and the manager offered me the position on the phone. Then the lady, Doina, asked if I was vaccinated. I told her I had cancer and I am on remission and I cannot get vaccinated because I am immune compromised. She told me that I had to leave and she felt UNCOMFORTABLE with me. I think it's inappropriate that she thought it was okay to shame me for my medical condition.  I was NEVER told that covid vaccination was a requirement for this job.
