Cypress Creek had great reviews, so even though it was a longer commute, we wanted a positive experience. We purchased the 6 lesson package for my daughter and it was a good fit. She already had some driving experience, but she needed some fine tuning. Each lesson was 1.5 hours and my daughter's driving ability and comfort behind the wheel improved. After the 6th lesson, we scheduled her road test with an extra lesson right before. She was thrilled when she passed. I'm very happy with our experience. I passed the DPS testing off the strength of myself using a website that goes over everything with you and shows the testing questions. When you get to the yard is when the headache comes, this isnt your average school that's gonna be there training you or helping you. You will learn to recite everything from a sheet of paper, if you are a hands on person, you will disconnect from what it is you're reading. You pretty much learn on your own and there is no helping you even if you ask. The only way I was able to pass the pre trip is by listening to this lady recite hers, she was the only one who knew how to speak English well. The school is great for those who knows about trucks and those who don't know how to speak English well. There was a lady there who been there for months trying to pass the course but mines was cancelled after I went through a license suspension and they marked me for showing no progress. There is no progress to be shown if there is a disconnect with the instructors and I'm not able to understand and learn from my peers when they don't speak proper English. My course was paid for in full , so I don't agree with the cancellation when you allowed someone to be there working on their CDL for over 5 months. The school also was very far from my home, it was frustrating to have to drive out there just to sit by myself and go over a sheet of paper. I wouldn't recommend this school, honestly if there is a way to get your CDL without dealing with these schools that's what you should do!
