Cypress Creek had great reviews, so even though it was a longer commute, we wanted a positive experience. We purchased the 6 lesson package for my daughter and it was a good fit. She already had some driving experience, but she needed some fine tuning. Each lesson was 1.5 hours and my daughter's driving ability and comfort behind the wheel improved. After the 6th lesson, we scheduled her road test with an extra lesson right before. She was thrilled when she passed. I'm very happy with our experience. It offers a combination of classroom and driving training. My kids did not complain too much so it must be A-OK or I would have heard about it. There are some inconveniences.......parking for pick-up and drop off are a challenge......and worrisome since you can image all those young drivers driving their parents huge SUVs buzzing around. Also, signing up for drives is a bit of a challenge as well. They now have an online system but getting the times that work for your schedule can be difficult and they fill up quickly. The good news is they give you a reasonable amount of time to get them all completed and you are responsible for setting the schedule so it is flexity. It is not cheap but my sanity was worth it.

Im a good driver because of the helpful ones I got out there but sometimes it felt like the real challenge ws dealing with the instructors. One time specifically I had an appointment at the Montrose location, and the instructor called and rudely asked where I was because he thought it was at the Bellaire location. Then the company had the audacity to charge me a 75 dollar no-show fee for the instructor going to the wrong location. I got a refund but that's an absurd fee even if it was my fault for a SINGLE missed appointment, these guys are NOT getting paid more than 75 bucks an hour that is most definitely greed on the companies part. Also the online teen courses are miserable and feel like they were made by AI, multiple grammar and spelling mistakes each lesson that make it look like the course designer was having a stroke. I was dealt a bad hand too because as a teen I was signed up for a full 37 hours of instruction time with SafeWay, so all my hours would come from them. It made it impossible to log parent hours with the DMV so I therefore had to take 10-11 MONTHS trying to schedule appointments as much as humanly possible as a student. Horrible scheduling availability and understaffing at it's finest. I know how to drive very well now but it's an absolute embarrassment for me not having my license 7 months past my 16th birthday because of this slimy company. 1.5/10 company but for the real ones who actually helped me learn as instructors and had really nice conversations with me you get 10/10's
