This place is nice. Bartenders are nice! But the bouncers are very rude and disrespectful! When they were closing, they were rudely kicking people out. I asked them if I could use the bathroom before I leave because I have a long drive ahead of me, they told me to pee outside in the street. The next time I went there, i was standing there waiting for my friend to finish talking so that we could leave. The bouncer had a problem with me and I don't know what I did. I went to his partner and asked him, did I do something wrong because your partner is mad at me. He yelled at me and said, "I'm not talking to you! Just leave! Get out!" There's other places that you can go and spend your money and the workers will treat you with respect.... They're very disrespectful! read more

Vibe on Friday night was incredible! Not "clubby" (thank goodness!) but not too chill or pretentious (like some "lounges")....it was just right! DJ was playing an eclectic old school/new school mix and the diverse and interesting crowd was eating it all up. You were greeted with the undeniable feeling of good vibes the moment you walked in. But if you prefer hanging with friends or that special someone, you might prefer a more intimate night, like during the week. The cocktails are solid. Always love a cocktail menu that features the type of glass the drink comes in. Can't express enough how important that is. Don't see something you like though, don't worry they got all the classics. They also make hot drinks which is clutch during those cold nights. Warm up on one of their couches with spiked hot chocolate. The beer bottle selection is pretty good too. This intimate, vintagey, chic spot did everything to make myself and friends feel like we were in the spot to be. The inside was great, but the backyard was just as gorgeous. I can see a few friends and myself partaking in some backyard happy hour. The name itself let's you know that's exactly what will be taking place. The crafted cocktails are done right and will leave you wanting more. i tried the watermelon basil and a lil bit ofconfidence. Confidence will give you way more than you need...lol. The watermelon basil was the drink you have when you have a fantasy of being on an island somewhere. We heard that they usually have a DJ, they didn't have one on the night we went but whoever's playlist was playing was just as good. Old school hip hop and R&B made the night even better. I stopped by the other night during their happy hour with a friend. Service was very mediocre. There were literally 4 people at the bar- my friend and I, plus two other women. There were two bartenders... So with this equation you'd think things would be pretty seamless right? We first noticed they completely forgot the other girls' drink orders. They were also advertising $11 "preview cocktails" so some cocktails were that price (like mine) and some weren't- without a clear explanation as to why. I ordered the hummus plate which the bartender practically immediately forgot about and didn't charge me for until I said something again. The back patio area is very nice and chill and perhaps a good spot for day drinking. When I actually got the hummus plate it was pretty lackluster ... But most hummus plates are unless you're at an authentic Middle Eastern or Mediterranean spot... But still! $9 for a few pieces of pita bread and a dollop of hummus lol wat. My friend rented out the bar for her bridal shower. The ambiance is seductive and charming with beautiful chandeliers and dark wallpapers. The service was top notch as the bartenders kept mixing beautiful and delicious drinks for us. (I'm pretty sure the food was delivered from somewhere else, but was delicious.) There's a cute patio in the back for the warmer months or if you have a larger group. I will definitely come back here again. read more

Hidden gem in Brooklyn that has some REALLY great drinks! Came here on a Friday night with some co-workers and we really enjoyed the calm ambience. This place is small, so I would be mindful of that. There are also some eats here, but I did not try any. I bought the Rumaway drink and BOY was my mind "rumming" away; however, it was listed on the drink menu under sweet, but to me the only thing sweet about it was the orange garnish - everything else was just strong. I knocked off one star because although the furniture has a speakeasy, 1920s vibe to it, the couches were peeling off and needed some repair and when I tried to tip the bartender, some random woman that apparently knew one of the staff members tried to STEAL his tip! This place was such a baffling surprise! Did not expect the decor or the SERIOUSNESS of the drinks! The bartender lit my friend's orange peel on fire and did a whole fire trick with it or something man it was really intense. I forget which one it was but in the end it tasted like actual Christmas. I've come here before but my last experience by far sealed the deal for me. I was already a fan of the front area but the I stumbled onto the patio and was in complete awe man! The seating was comfy and roomy for plenty of people to enjoy themselves. You can see the time and craftsmanship and the UPKEEP they go into to make sure the patio furniture withstand the weather! By far my favorite patio in Brooklyn at the moment. Not a blemish, a stain on the cushions. The drinks are made to perfections and all the bartenders are willing to help regardless of who may have started your tab. That's what it's truly about. The bartenders are friendly and seem to be very knowledgeable. Atmosphere- Both relaxed and carefree. There were too many people in this tiny bar for there to be no ventilation. We wanted to stay longer, but were sweating after being there only 20 minutes. While the heat was an issue, the real reason I'm taking a star off is how slow the service was.
