Cute spot but felt like it was lacking something. Something magical. Something to help it really stand out. We came here to finish up our Saturday night (got here around 1am on Sunday morning) and it was good energy from the people who were dancing and enjoying life. The same good vibes was not on display by the workers. They all seemed very over it all. Which kinda sucks because it was my first time there and my homies 3rd time and it didn't rub us the right way. Didn't order food and the drinks were solid. Around 20 bucks for a drink. The bar is tucked in the back right corner. After getting our drinks and going through a narrow aisle and bumping into everyone we got to the dance floor which is as soon as you enter and we did our lil 2step but it seemed like most people were just vibing out. I wouldn't end my night here. Maybe start it. Wasn't lit like the reviews makes it out to be.

I was looking for a new place to go and celebrate my birthday at a place that I had never been. I did some Yelp searching and came upon this place. The place looked great and the reviews were great. I sent a message on IG and received a prompt response, which I throughly appreciated and felt like I made the right choice. I arrived really early, in attempt, to gather some seats for whenever everyone got there. I had a Moscow Mule, and did some work on my laptop. They had a nice bask splash and chandeliers and had a cool vibe. For the first two hours, it was mostly older school reggae. However, around 8PM that changed. Also, they had a DJ come in and it turned into R&B and Hip Hop. The service was okay, a little on the slow side, but he was back there by himself. Everyone in my group had a wonderful time and I got to finally end my birthday with a bang. Thanks to the staff for the prompt response, the bartender, who seemed cool and the security guards who took several pictures for my group and kept the area clean.

Went here for New Years Eve and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It's considered a neighborhood bar, but I could tell it's a little city gem in Crown Heights. The drinks, baaaaaaby. S/O to the bartender Trè who made me a rum punch so good I only needed 2 to 'get right'. Not I'm sure they have food, but on New Year's Eve, I wasn't looking for food. They have amazing DJs who will keep you dancing all night. They even passed out complimentary glasses of champagne to everyone, even if you had a drink. Needless to say I will definitely be back.

Cheers to Drink lounge. Also, I love that it's black owned in this ever changing neighborhood. Let's talk decor. I have been fascinated with the wallpaper since they opened (around 2012,2013). Touch it...it's velvet with a subtle pink. Chandeliers are nice which compliments the black cieling. It's no secret, I love the decor. This is date night approved. This is afterwork hangout approved. When it's nice out , you can take advantage of the backyard. Wonderful Tequila and Whiskey options! The Bartender use to be from Franklin Park, but we grown now and FP is for the youngins. She's amazing, attentive and chill. This place is Chill. Don't you want to chill out? Catch a vibe? Actually hear your date? This is the place to be.

I love this place. This is going to be my spot . I have been here about 6 times. Twice in the past week. Shout to JB the bartender. He brings such good vibes and attentiveness. The drinks are good, prices are reasonable. Fridays they have a DJ. They got a small backyard. I love the low dim light and decor perfect for dates, girls night out or even your boys. The frills here no dress code. Come here to be happy and have a good time!

Alright now this spot is dope lol. Black owned. Great music. Even better bartender. Like I'm sold. I got a few bourbon based drinks (I requested Woodford, and my drinks were made to perfection ). I'll be back!

Found this bar the way all bars are found... had a friend come in from out of town, and we were looking for a place to continue our reunion. I'm so happy This was the place we found. The ambiance of this place is similar to that of a R &b, jazzy speakeasy. When we went they had a dj who was absolutely killing it. Also, I had a lovely conversation with the bartender/owner, who made me feel like we had known each other for years. He made me a mean Negroni (truly out of this world), and I couldn't help but try my friends cosmo which was equally amazing. It was a great night, we literally were the last ones there because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Also there is a smoking lounge in the back which is nice of you are interested in that. Can't wait to come back!!

Donkey Conga ($22) Bourbon and aged cachaça centrifuged with Banana. Followed by Cynar & sweet vermouth. 2. Manta Ray ($22) Coconut cocktail of apricot, ginger, and mint. London dry gin & Haitian Rhum. 3. Star cycle ($18) Shakened milk washed gin, Jasmine, and grapefruit

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.

We made a reservation for early in the evening, and it was very quiet when we arrived. The space itself is lovely with comfortable velvet chairs, a nice bar, a stunning array of vinyls on display and a beautiful outdoor patio area. We opted to sit indoors, and service was excellent. Between the two of us, we ordered the sake flight, the never will I marry, the smoke stack and stolen moments (a NA beverage). Had 3 bartenders for a pretty small bar and none noticed my cup of water was empty for 20 min; not to mention one of them really didn't want to be there or is a super introvert and just there to make the drink and bye; would have hoped they tried a bit more to have a conversation or explain the philosophy/idea behind the bar/drinks etc (i mean i am paying 20% tip and it's a service industry) 2) The Awakening (tiramisu) was not that great; was on the sour side - maybe because of the chosen espresso beans which may be arabica, but wasn't pleasant; gave an impression of soured milk and coffee. Also the frozen ice cream just doesnt fit; more like a frozen affogato or sour klondike bar than a tiramisu Net net, still a great new place and perfect for dates, but not as strong on the service and desserts

My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.
