Good and service was awesome. Great atmosphere! I would go there again. Steak salad mmmmmm Mmmmmm read more

Food was decent. Experience was awful. Food came out at all different times. Our server, Sateen had an AWFUL attitude towards our party from the time we sat down until the time we left. We heard from her as we were leaving that she was very happy with our departure. She refused to split our bill for the party of 13 while there for my wife's birthday and it was overall just an awful experience. I wont feel bad for bringing in a large party again. read more

Food was great Food came out rather quickly. Good atmosphere. Wasn't very busy but the service was slow. Waited for refills a couple times and then once we asked for our bill it was 15 minures before we got it. Would return. Just would be prepared for a longer than average meal time. read more

I could go on and on about the Driftwood and how its owners are the greatest, patrons are friendly and how they have great bands, but I'll focus on a few items. Their brisket sando and French dip are my favorites, yet their burgers and different types of fries and onion rings hold their own. But then if you're serious you'll want to order the Mac n cheese with pulled pork, it was incredible. I'd also have zero problem recommending any one of their specials or the cheese curds or the nachos or the Philly cheesesteak and/or the hot honey chicken sando. All in all, come for the food, stay for the drinks. Oh darn, I hadn't even mentioned the drinks yet. We're talking full bar with a great selection of Nebraska local beers. Ask the bartender for the Ferry Nectar IPA, delicious. Then make sure to come whenever they have live music. They have some serious talent come thru and the acoustics and sounds are just right. read more

We were stuck in Ogallala due to weather and stumbled upon this restaurant. It did not disappoint! My husband ordered the country fried steak and I had the chicken pizza. Both were really good, but my pizza was THE BEST! Our server was very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was clean and nice inside. We also ordered the brownie for dessert, yum! Cool little town. read more

I really hate to do this, but, this was one of the worst meals we've had. You would think that "pulled chicken" would be tender and juicy - it was lukewarm, dry and loaded with pepper. The mashed potatoes were big chunks of soggy potatoes that butter wouldn't even melt on. I was hungry and couldn't even finish the meal. So disappointed. The Chicken Parmesan was not much better. It was on a bowl of pasta that could have fed 3 people. Again, lukewarm and very peppery. Maybe it was an off night, but it was not good. The venue looked great - big stage for live music with lots of room for dancing. Posters of musicians from past and future performances lined the walls. It looked like a fun place. We were so sad that the food was so bad. read more

We're so happy we ignored the negative reviews. Clean, nice looking venue. Service was top notch. We ordered a cocktail that bartender did not know but she looked up and did an outstanding job. Lake Mac was delicious. Brisket Sandwich was delicious. Their fries are excellent. The hostess set us up with a little fire when we ventured outdoors for a last cocktail. Highly recommend. read more

The decor is cute and very welcoming. Service is great and the food is good. Drinks are strong. Definitely recommend.

Mediocre burger. You would think they would be good since they say premium NE beef. But tough and flavorless. Service was good

If you're stopping through town and looking for a place to eat AND believe in science, DO NOT eat here. I got takeout and was the only person wearing a mask and the place was full. Not even the employees wear masks! They also forgot my fries? You order a burger and fries and they forget them? read more

I'm giving 4 stars because there is no open mike or karaoke and EVERYONE asks about having karaoke. They seem to be able to make any cocktail in the world with any flavor, so my husband had a blueberry mule, which was good. We had a chef salad and chicken caesar. Both were large and fresh and had a lot of the good stuff in it, not just lettuce. This restaurant is a nice refreshment for the downtown area and gave us a reprieve from the heat. The staff is so friendly and really seemed to enjoy being there. read more

Stopped in for dinner ---forgot my jacket ---had lunch next day Dinner was a ribeye that was tender but under seasoned. Fortunately S/P on the table. Great sweet potato fries, crispy yet tender. Salad w raspberry vinaigrette. Servings really too big. Service was good. Lunch next day, (grabbed my jacket! ). Sat at the bar. Mixologist is so friendly!! Excellent service. I mentioned my dairy allergies and interest in mahi tacos. So she customized it for me. And.....,, Mahi mahi tacos were tender and grilled delicious. Added some guac and plain mayo with plain cabbage (dairy allergies so no coleslaw for me). Squeeze of lime. Yum yum. read more

you would think this place would be great, but only go if you're not in a rush. and don't order anything medium rare. waited 40 minutes for our food and the steak on the salad came out raw. we put the raw bits on a napkin to show the server: she carried them back to the kitchen and fried them a bit longer....crazy. management didn't say anything, no apology. second rate service at best. good luck. read more

Heard an ad for Driftwood while driving through on I-80. Good atmosphere, good food for the value, good did and beverage choices. The street corn dip was amazing! Definitely a go-to restaurant if your looking for somewhere with affordable prices and and even better food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a very friendly cozy vibe. Wonderful place to bring your children after a fun filled lake day. The customer service was a 10/10, couldn't have asked for more friendly and willing to help servers. If your into spicy foods I do highly recommend: Buffalo Wings, High Heat Cheese Curds, and the El Diablo burger All have a wonderful savory and tangy taste to them. Also the spicy ranch is a great dipping sauce for the fries, wings, cheese curds, and onion rings. read more

Service was very good but only our appetizer was HOT the rest was semi-warm which took away from the rest of the experience. The ambiance was good I felt like I could hang out there for another hour and not feel rushed or like I was a bother to anyone. Most of the food I felt like needed more seasoning and I had to use the salt and pepper quite a bit. The best part was the drinks and the coconut shrimp appetizer. The gift store was very pricey but had cute stuff. read more

Mediocre food, terrible service. It was a comedy of errors with our server, forgot to bring our appetizers, brought the wrong entre, forgot this or that, rushed off a couple times real fast because she was embarrassed. The worst part about the service was that the manager passed the blame on her kitchen staff and even started to give us attitude and argue with us, then after, despite admitting that they dropped the ball, she didn't even offer any sort of compensation such as small discount or free dessert or anything. The food, despite having some interesting looking items, is pretty standard American food, and not anything special in terms of quality or creativity. read more

This place is AWESOME! If you are in this town it is a must go to. We had a wonderful server who took care of us. I'm not sure here name, but she was a sweetheart! She gave us amazing recommendations for apps, burgers and drinks! She suggested the spicy cheese curds and they were FANTASTIC! The spicy house ranch paired with it was perfect. This is a great place to eat in downtown Ogallala! Check it out if you are there. read more

This is our go-to when staying in Ogallala. Though I don't have kids, it seems kid-friendly. Friendly staff, and has some outdoor seating. The latter matters to us right now, given the COVID issue. I got the club sandwich with their potato salad. The portion size was reasonable, and they did a nice job with the sandwich. Some clubs can be pretty bland, while others are dominated by the sauce. Or you break a tooth on the overcooked bacon. I lked their blue cheese potato salad. But then again, I like blue cheese. And it could have used a bit more IMHO. read more

I'll give a star for food and service but......but not a place for larger groups. I made arrangements from out of state for my mother in laws 90th birthday dinner for 11 or people last February. When my family arrived they were seated at separate tables in the main area. When they asked to be seated together they were told it would cost $200. (Turned out to be $100 in the end....but still.). This was an awkward and unnecessary situation for my family. I am out here visiting and was just told about this. I contacted the restaurant today and was told that "all the arrangements were made based on the party being in the main dining room ". They said I didn't request the "event room". No one told me when I made the arrangements that they could not accommodate 11 people together in the main dining room. Why would they want to sit at separate tables? I was so embarrassed when I realized my sister in law had to pay $100 for them to sit together. The restaurant didn't even tell me or put it on my bill. The restaurant just texted me the receipt and told my family had a great time. Why couldn't they push two tables together for 11 people? That is not a big deal. Instead of charging for an "event room". Family tells me that the gal helping them was abrupt and said "no". She said that if they wanted to be together they had to rent an event room. Apparently food and service were good but the folks who are local said the experience has made them not want to return. read more

Brussel spouts were good but over done in the fryer. Had a pizza as well and it was ok. Drinks were great and our service was amazing.

Looks nice enough. Never got to the food. On my way beck to SF, stopped to get some dinner and watch the NBA finals. Looked a little ragged. Asked the bar tender if the game was on and she checked for 30 seconds, then completely ignored my further inquiries. I raised my hand and she indignantly noted, "It's not on!" I watched it at a 'wonderful' local dive, Jerry's instead. read more

Service was great and atmosphere fun and relaxed. Excellent beer selection and appetizers were delicious. Wings were great and we have enjoyed the aloha shrimp, pretzel bites and brussel sprouts on numerous occasions. Chicken Fried Steak sandwich is a must try! read more

Three stars because the food did taste good. The French dip was literally 3 pieces of lunch meat rectangles on a big bun. French dips are my go to menu item. It should have had at least two times the meat. Paid $2 to upgrade to sweet potato fries and got about 12 fries. Service was slow, very slow. I so wanted to like this place, but such a disappointment. read more

On day 3 of our road trip, we had no idea where to go in the small town of Ogallala, Nebraska. Yelp helped. Driftwood is the perfect modern spot with good beer and friendly service. AND good food! I don't eat much red meat, but when I do have it, I want it to be as high a quality as possible. Driftwood gets their beef from the family owned Morgan Ranch who specializes in Wagyu beef. It was the most tender and tasty beef I have ever had. And the price was reasonable. I know steaks can be expensive, so getting a Wagyu Ribeye dinner (considered the "Mercedes of beef") for $33 felt like an experience I couldn't pass up. Again, the service was great. We like to eat at the bar. The women behind the bar were engaging, sweet and beautiful. Highly recommended! read more

The manager and his wife were extremely rude to our party in helping seat our party of 8 .. their response was to charge us 150.00 to seat us together. And his attitude was not called for telling us he didn't need our business instead of helping and understanding ....and food sucks .. especially for the price. Way better places in town read more

As a group of six that has been planning this trip to Driftwood for three weeks was disappointing. The food was good but we got cut off twice with drinks. First time we had order appetizers and got cut off after three and then after ordering meals got cut off again after three. We drove an hour to watch a game, we were not loud and we are a group that tip very well but was very disappointed in being cut off and there was no one else in the place. Will not being going back. Very disappointed in how we were treated!! read more

Terrible. First, we ordered an appetizer. Choice between the fried pickles or the cheese curds. We got the fried pickles or should I say pickle? There were like 9 pieces of pickle for $9.00! The guy next to us got the cheese curds and there was a HUGE pile of over 30 curds. I laughed and thought it was a joke. I asked our server if this was correct and that we were disappointed with the portion. She brought it back to the kitchen, was out in 30 seconds with the same order and said "My Manager said that pickles prices are way up and that is the portion size". Are pickle prices up? Over $9.00 for 10 little slices? A joke. Our server said "I'm sorry". Next, I ordered the BBQ plate with brisket & pulled pork. My pulled pork was cold. My brisket was so dry, it tasted rancid. My partners chicken sandwich was more like one chicken tender on a huge bun. Funny, there were 3 pickles on the chicken sandwich? I thought they were very expensive now according to the manager. Sad thing is that no on came over to apologize, offer something different, offer a different dinner or appetizer? No word, no acknowledgement from anyone. Very disappointed. Sad place and poorly managed. read more

Amazing is the only word to use. Blown away to find such amazing food in such a small town. So many choices and it was all good. We ate here 4 times the week we were at Lake M. We all got different dinners each time and we were 100% happy with every single choice. Spicy chicken sandwich was insane, chicken fried stake was amazing, but I nearly passed out from happiness from the ribs. For appetizers, we got the spicy cheese curds and the smoked chicken wings (dry rub) every time. Ever after the 4th visit, we still felt we would them both again the next day! So good! Thank you for being open and your dedication to quality and tastyness! They would know me by name if I lived there! read more

We are visiting friends and decided to go inside this establishment because it looked so appealing from outside. Went in we were greeted then seated but sadly no one came to us for over 20 minutes or even acknowledged us. I went to let her know we weren't helped but the large group who came in after were helped and not us. So sadly after about 5 more minutes we left. As a business owner myself I suggest more waitresses maybe. read more

Visited on our drive home to Buffalo after a month in Utah. The walleye and salmon were nicely done with fresh vegetables and a potato. We sat at the bar since the place was busy on a Friday night but the bartender was attentive and very pleasant. The place had a nice local vibe and plenty of sports showing on multiple TV screens. Good selection of entrees and very reasonable prices. Worth trying!! read more

Ended up in Ogallala en-route to Denver to when all roads going west were closed because of a snowstorm. Ordered some takeout and was disappointed to see that there were zero COVID protocols in place. No signs, no social distancing, no hand sanitizer. Staff were not wearing masks. Guests weren't wearing masks. Entire dining room was open. The food ended up being pretty good, and the restaurant ambience was cool, but what I'll remember is the weird stares we got from EVERYONE when we walked in wearing masks. read more

We were in town for vacation and wanted to grab a nice bite to eat, unfortunately it was not nice at all. My burger patty was completely charred and burnt. The rest of my family's meal was adequate at best. But my burger tasted like I was eating the bottom of a bbq pit. We ordered take out so it was like they didn't even care it was burnt and disgusting because we weren't going to come back and complain. The next morning I woke up with food poisoning. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

A very cool bar, tap and grill. Best mash potatoes I think I've ever had. I had the beer battered walleye and it was very tasty. I wish we would have had more time to stay and listen to the band that night. Looks like a great Friday night. Very chill and welcoming atmosphere. read more
