Loved the cozy ambiance with the live music and the bartender and servers were all super upbeat and friendly, but the food left a little bit to be desired. It was okay, but my salmon was cooked really unevenly -- hammered on the outside and almost undercooked on the inside. The sauce and veggies were fine just all of it seemed pretty overpriced. We spent about $75 for 2 entrees and 1 beer. My partners burger was better than my fish for sure -- the beef looked fresh and he had fun toppings like fig jam and Brie. I'd go back, but only because there aren't a ton of options in Yachats!

The food and staff were amazing! Our server's name was Lewis and he was so attentive, kind and all around the perfect server! (Give this server a raise!) The drinks, the atmosphere on the outdoor deck and all of our meals were perfection. Don't miss out!

House crepe: good flavor combo, but very light on the salmon (almost non-existent)

One of our favorite restaurants on the Oregon Coast. First, the staff is stellar. Today, Dorothy gave quick history, she was so personable. The decor and overall vibe is charming, check out the inviting patio in Summer. The Alaskan Scramble with excellent polenta was delicious (probably the most expensive menu item.) The Drift Inn Crepes with salmon and Manchego cheese was wonderful on taste, but very, very light on salmon. To the point you're asking yourself, "did they forget the salmon? Not sure what all the 1-Stars are about. However, I so agree with the common sentiment against automatic (assumed) 20% gratuity. How about you let the customer decide if they received good service? Maybe some shine has tarnished off the restaurant's luster over the years. Parking can be spotty. Still, it's the place to eat when staying in or nearby Yachats.

Fantastic food, amazing service, fantastic location, comfy, cozy, just phenomenal! Such a great place in a perfect location! The chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy were the best ive had in the North! Seriously a nice place to relax and have a cocktail and brunch!

Beautiful day so we sat out in the patio. The service was friendly and caring. Food is delicious. I always eat here when I'm in Yachats and the biggest problem I have is what to choose off the menu!

Waiter was super friendly and all staff were kind and nice. We had a big group of 9. I ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious. The huevos was not bad either. Their chai latte is also very tasty!! Our group had some dietary restrictions, including gluten free. Half of us ordered the chicken and waffles. The restaurant only has 1 waffle machine so the food took a bit of time to come out. Given the 1 machine, the "gluten free" waffles were definitely cross contaminated. This didn't bother us much as none of the people who had dietary restrictions had celiac, but might be a good thing to consider!

Razor clams- I had the chowder as a side, which is why the plate looks so empty.

Another incredible meal here at The Drift Inn. Even though it was busy with Father's Day brunch groups, once we were seated, we had truly excellent service. Our server, Michael, was just delightful, friendly and kind with a smile that could sell toothpaste. The second time I've enjoyed the chowder & I think I may have found the ACTUAL BEST chowder on the coast. It's that good. The rest of the meal was also great & our expediter told some rather funny Dad jokes when he brought our meal. A+!

Ravioli with crab

Cute place, friendly staff, delicious food!!! This place is worth the hype. It's a mix of locals and tourists. My biggest problem was deciding what to eat! Everyone's food around me looked so good. I went with the ravioli topped with crab and sure glad I chose it.

Jalapeño poppers

For just $19 you could have three greasy jalapeño poppers and diarrhea for the next 24 hours. I really want to like this place, I keep giving it chances, but literally every single time I go there someone in my party gets horribly sick. Jalapeño poppers were disappointing as were the Thai salad rolls which tasted like they had been made the day before. They were hard and the lettuce was turning brown inside.

Ask the Community - Drift Inn

I'm noticing you have lots of gluten free options, which is so exciting! Im curious about cross-contamination. Do you fry the gluten foods and the gluten-free foods in the same fryer?

Fryer is not Gf exclusive but will say the only thing that isn't GF that goes into the fryer is the CFS, meaning lots of celiacs disease have not had issues with the fryer food.

How late do they serve breakfast?

We ate breakfast at 10 I believe. I think it's served up to lunchtime around noon. Best to call

The caprese was great alongside-- I was already full and still housed the house made focaccia and pesto, truly so incredible. for our main we split the cajun salmon with pico de gallo, mashed potatoes, and side caesar salad. delicious!!! I don't even really like caesar salad that much, and theirs is top notch. they split our plate for an extra $3 and it was plenty after appetizers. lastly, interiors: our table was perfect. they sat us right by the window on the water for sunset. You know what you're paying for, the view.....unless you're willing to pay even more; most likely the food will suck and the service will be bad because your waiter is crazy busy. Positives: -the prices were very reasonable and affordable. We got a lot of great tasting seafood and finished everything we had. The seafood boil was great. The stuffed mushrooms were amazing too. -service was great, our waitress was very honest giving us her honest opinion on what we should order. She recommended we share too instead of trying to sell us an additional dish. -ambiance, sitting outdoors on a waterfront you can't beat that. Overall 5/5 I honestly loved my experience so much that I'm ready to leave California behind. California is overrated, that's my honest opinion being a California native of almost 40 years. I used to love it and think that I would never want to leave. I can't say that anymore, especially recently.

Perhaps my low expectations led to my enjoyment of dinner so much. The rules around reservations was a little annoying, but I'm assuming it's due to staffing issues to make sure they can provide timely service, which they did. After multiple seafood meals, I was considering a "turf" meal. When I asked the server about the Curry Scallops and the Chicken Marsala, his response to the Marsala confirmed my decision. I was already leaning toward the Marsala based off another photo on yelp. I was not disappointed! The chicken breast was aggressively seasoned in a perfect way. Leaving the chicken on top rather than smothering it in Marsala sauce meant the texture in the chicken stayed slightly crunchy the entire meal. Although there weren't nearly as many mushrooms on my dish as the other photo, but had a great mushroom flavor that went so well with the chicken and mashed potatoes. The "veggies" in my case, was a bean medley that appeared slightly odd at first, but was actually pretty tasty. My wife ordered a grilled cheese/salad/French onion soup special. The sandwich was super cheesy, with multiple style cheeses. The salad was good, and we both thought the French onion soup was really good. I spoke to a staff member who said they've gone through a few chefs in the past year and that the current one is her favorite. Whatever she/he is doing is working because our meal was a great conclusion on the final night of our stay.

It had so much seafood from the crab, clams, shrimp, and fish. I had seven or eight clams and they give you a dish to put them in after the clam is removed. I was slightly dismayed in that only three of my clam shells had clams. The rest were in the shell and they were empty. The flavor was slightly spicy, and there was so much food. I had plenty of leftovers. My husband had the herb crusted, lingcod. He had mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts in the dish. The food was divine. The fish was tender. And the entire meal was delicious. For dessert, I had the strawberry rhubarb cobbler. It came with a ginormous scoop of ice cream. The cobbler was served warm and it was so much food. We were so pleased with this restaurant. The views were incredible, the food was delicious. Our only complaint is that the hostess had no personality. She ignored us when we came in, dropped us off at our table with the menus and said nothing, then when we left, we said goodbye and she said yup. I think she needs an attitude check from management. Other than our negative encounter with her, this dining experience was darn near perfect. I will give this restaurant 4.9 stars. The small amount was removed because of the hostess.

For my main course, I had the combination halibut, king Salmon, and tuna. They were very generous with the portions. The fish was delicious. The halibut and the salmon were tender and juicy.
