Loved the cozy ambiance with the live music and the bartender and servers were all super upbeat and friendly, but the food left a little bit to be desired. It was okay, but my salmon was cooked really unevenly -- hammered on the outside and almost undercooked on the inside. The sauce and veggies were fine just all of it seemed pretty overpriced. We spent about $75 for 2 entrees and 1 beer. My partners burger was better than my fish for sure -- the beef looked fresh and he had fun toppings like fig jam and Brie. I'd go back, but only because there aren't a ton of options in Yachats!

The food and staff were amazing! Our server's name was Lewis and he was so attentive, kind and all around the perfect server! (Give this server a raise!) The drinks, the atmosphere on the outdoor deck and all of our meals were perfection. Don't miss out!

House crepe: good flavor combo, but very light on the salmon (almost non-existent)

One of our favorite restaurants on the Oregon Coast. First, the staff is stellar. Today, Dorothy gave quick history, she was so personable. The decor and overall vibe is charming, check out the inviting patio in Summer. The Alaskan Scramble with excellent polenta was delicious (probably the most expensive menu item.) The Drift Inn Crepes with salmon and Manchego cheese was wonderful on taste, but very, very light on salmon. To the point you're asking yourself, "did they forget the salmon? Not sure what all the 1-Stars are about. However, I so agree with the common sentiment against automatic (assumed) 20% gratuity. How about you let the customer decide if they received good service? Maybe some shine has tarnished off the restaurant's luster over the years. Parking can be spotty. Still, it's the place to eat when staying in or nearby Yachats.

Fantastic food, amazing service, fantastic location, comfy, cozy, just phenomenal! Such a great place in a perfect location! The chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy were the best ive had in the North! Seriously a nice place to relax and have a cocktail and brunch!

Beautiful day so we sat out in the patio. The service was friendly and caring. Food is delicious. I always eat here when I'm in Yachats and the biggest problem I have is what to choose off the menu!

Waiter was super friendly and all staff were kind and nice. We had a big group of 9. I ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious. The huevos was not bad either. Their chai latte is also very tasty!! Our group had some dietary restrictions, including gluten free. Half of us ordered the chicken and waffles. The restaurant only has 1 waffle machine so the food took a bit of time to come out. Given the 1 machine, the "gluten free" waffles were definitely cross contaminated. This didn't bother us much as none of the people who had dietary restrictions had celiac, but might be a good thing to consider!

Cute place, friendly staff, delicious food!!! This place is worth the hype. It's a mix of locals and tourists. My biggest problem was deciding what to eat! Everyone's food around me looked so good. I went with the ravioli topped with crab and sure glad I chose it.

Razor clams- I had the chowder as a side, which is why the plate looks so empty.

Another incredible meal here at The Drift Inn. Even though it was busy with Father's Day brunch groups, once we were seated, we had truly excellent service. Our server, Michael, was just delightful, friendly and kind with a smile that could sell toothpaste. The second time I've enjoyed the chowder & I think I may have found the ACTUAL BEST chowder on the coast. It's that good. The rest of the meal was also great & our expediter told some rather funny Dad jokes when he brought our meal. A+!

For just $19 you could have three greasy jalapeño poppers and diarrhea for the next 24 hours. I really want to like this place, I keep giving it chances, but literally every single time I go there someone in my party gets horribly sick. Jalapeño poppers were disappointing as were the Thai salad rolls which tasted like they had been made the day before. They were hard and the lettuce was turning brown inside.

I'm noticing you have lots of gluten free options, which is so exciting! Im curious about cross-contamination. Do you fry the gluten foods and the gluten-free foods in the same fryer?

Fryer is not Gf exclusive but will say the only thing that isn't GF that goes into the fryer is the CFS, meaning lots of celiacs disease have not had issues with the fryer food.

How late do they serve breakfast?

We ate breakfast at 10 I believe. I think it's served up to lunchtime around noon. Best to call

The property is beautifully manicured and if you get a free standing apartment "kitchen" suite (like a one bedroom apartment) than most of them have a great view of the property, ocean or both. There's also a bathtub, fireplace, and little patio! The bed was comfy and I've never slept better--something about waking up to hear the surf and smell the fresh sea breeze I will never get over. Also the frogs will sing you a sweet song to sleep if you listen closely. I've never stayed anywhere more charming. Super short walk away to the waves, the beach, and town is just around the bend (also an easy walk). The pool also has a view of the ocean. So cool. Did I mention dog friendly? FYI. If you notice some difference in reviewers experience I believe it's the difference of the units verses the rooms. The rooms are more retro and though they have nice updates, I highly recommend the kitchen units as opposed to the rooms (I've stayed in both). The units are fantastic and worth the tiny bit extra. The rooms have great decks and patios to a lovely beach view but there is an old funk smell that unless you are a smoker is noticeable-- so do yourself a favor and get a kitchen suite. Your wife can thank me later. :) You'll want to plan to book a few extra days because this place is like a warm hug. It's unlike anything out there these days. You can get a clean room almost anywhere but encountering amazing humans on the road is priceless. Thank you Yachats Inn for making my summer to the coast a lovely and wonderfully memorable stay. I'll be back!

What an incredible oceanfront location but in desperate need of a revamp…read more The rooms unfortunately don't match the beautiful setting. Our standard king was so rundown, with stained and stinky 70's carpet, mismatched 80s furniture, cheap plastic outdoor seats, and a mattress so old and uncomfortable I woke up in pain. The bed had extremely thin sheets and pillows, and a tiny shower you can't move around in. Our bathroom window and sliding glass door didn't close properly and I was praying a Ted Bundy type wasn't cruising the neighborhood. I somehow forgot to take pics but their images on their website are pretty accurate. The price was great at just over $120 on a busy July holiday weekend, and we also had direct access to the beach right out front. The pool and hot tub also provided ocean views. The entire property can use a lot of TLC. I love older and cozy spaces, but this place deserves a refresh to match its spectacular location. Nothing glamorous, it just needs to be functional, comfortable, and safe. 2.5 stars if I could.

When we reached out to Vacasa for help they first asked us to try the breaker box, or relight the water heater but couldn't tell me where either of them were, thereby asking me to wander around and through this motel - peeking in closets and rooms - to find them. When I refused they said they would contact a local person for assistance. No one ever came. No one contacted us. I even reached out to corporate and no one came. No one contacted us. So despite a pretty room and clean linens they get 2 stars because hot water is kind of a necessity in a hotel. Further, they didn't offer a discount for their failure to provide the hot water during our 5 night stay. Other things to know; The images don't show that highway 101 runs between this building and the beach. Nor do they show that the balconies with the rooms are shared and not private. The coffee pot is a Kuerig and they only provide 4 pods. Bring your own. There are two mugs, two metal cups, two glass cups, and a handful of silverware, a microwave, and a mini-fridge. The only place to wash anything is in the bathroom. The view is stunning and you can hear the ocean from your room if you leave the door cracked. I really wish I could have given a better review but the lack of local support for this listing means any problems you have are yours to deal with and frankly, that is not what I am paying for. EDIT: The management company responded after my review and offered a partial refund per day for the lack of the hot water. It was a fair offer and the decent thing to do. So I'm increasing the review to three stars because they did respond and try to make things right. However, I still think it's important for guests to know there isn't anyone local to manage these issues quickly if they arise.

First thing is the smell then the obvious visuals come into focus. Floors have NEVER been refurbished in over 4 years that I can tell the floors looked new. "DOG FRIENDLY" to me means go someplace else. Rug at front door chewed, couch must be the dog-bed because it STUNK! Walls are hideous. Water marks running above the sliding glass doors, bathroom water damage above/behind the toilet and behind the sink faucet. Wall scuffs from rocking chair and stupid living room end tables substituting for bedside tables (covered w/ white dog fur...as well as under the bed w/ debris not well vacuumed before we arrived). CAKED dust coming from the ac/heat unit & bathroom ceiling fan. Old room heaters (bathroom and main room) are rusty and really unappealing. Bed- too soft!!! No bed skirt and the sheets were stained w/ brown marks (I was pretty disgusted and wished I had my silk sleeping bag), ugly old bed linens....please pretend like your rentals are an investment that people invest in (like me) because at over 150 a night (OFF SEASON) people will expect very nice accommodations...not just a lovely view and convenient location in town. Coffee tables are not side tables- get a decent size table. TV wands are not properly marked and the mute button doesn't work! CLEAN them....they were really nasty dirty. Move the couch to the opposite side of the room, move the tv screen to the opposite wall so that you can actually get a better view from bed if one is wanting to watch before bed. The Kerig coffee machine....GROSS! Who uses those? Not us. All we wanted was a hot pot at the very least to brew QUALITY coffee without the dangers of mold in the coffee maker which Kerigs are INFAMOUS for harboring! We will not use them. This was my birthday weekend. I'm super disappointed we spent it in such a gross place!!! I will MAKE SURE our next visit will be better investigated before making a overnight reservation someplace.
