Last minute plans on a Saturday night, we decided to go out for early dinner and drinks. My BF called Drift to see if they had some open spots at the bar, but at the time we got there it was full, and no available tables open until hours later. But they allowed us to have one of the high-top tables, and that was perfect. I started with their espresso martini, while looking though the menu. They have salads, handhelds, pastas, flatbreads, etc. The mussels were calling me, but they come in a spicy sauce, so looked again, and ended ordering the lobster bisque, from their small plates section. It was a good portion for me and loved that it has shredded lobster in every bite, plus two small pieces as garnish. My BF had his own meal and still asked for some of mine, that's how good it was. He had the burger with onion crisps and jam. This was also delicious. BIG, and perfectly cooked, juicy meat. Very flavorful, and the fries were on point. Before we left, I wanted to try their prosecco colada. Fun, refreshing version of a Pina Colada. Very tropical, sweet, and summery. We already recommended Drift to some friends and will continue to do so.
Brunch is now $49 pp. you get some baked goods. Appetizer and a meal. The butcher block is my favorite. Then it ends with some desserts. I didn't try any because I have a berry allergy and they didn't bring me one. Parking is $20 valet or validate it at restaurant and get valet for $10. Private rooms for 12 people are nice. They have two other rooms for larger parties.
THE GROUPER DISH!!! holy shit this totally blew me away!!! perfectly done fish with a nice crispy edge over perfect mashed potatoes and a sauce that wrapped it all together PERFECT. I find myself not knowing another adjective to use besides perfect.... That's how you know it's a good place (or that I have the vocabulary of a third grader u choose). we also got the mushroom pizza with truffle and it was phenomenal (new adjective hehe). Last but not least our bartender, Nick, was a homie and he made our experience that much more memorable!
Drift is the seafood restaurant with a flare housed inside the oceanfront Grand Opal Resort and Spa. We made reservations well in advance and valeted our car upon arrival. We walked around a little bit exploring the resort before heading in to dinner. The restaurant was beautifully appointed with a sea & adventure theme. There were 5 dining areas; the main dining room, chef's gallery, 2 glass-enclosed private rooms, a mixology room, and an outdoor verandah. We were seated outside right on busy and very noisy Atlantic Avenue. Alice our waitress from Alaska brought over lots of menus and explained the drink, appetizer and main specials. She was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and frequently checked in with us. There was an extensive and creative cocktail list. The wine list had a lot to choose from. I started with a partridge in a pear tree with Hendrix, cinnamon, maple syrup, lemon juice, and pear juice. It was interesting and a really delicious drink. We shared the maple and pomegranate glazed Brussels sprouts with root vegetables and shaved Marcona almonds. It was well prepared, full of flavor and delicious. For dinner, I ordered the coastal shellfish stew with lobster, mahi, shrimp, mussels, fennel in a tomato broth with lemon saffron aïoli. My husband ordered the baby lamb chops, which looked delicious but besides the two lamb chops, there were mounds of brussels sprouts. If we knew there would be brussels sprouts we would have ordered a different appetizer. For dessert, we shared a chocolate truffle bar on a rice crispy crust with raspberry syrup and whipped cream. This was a very nice special night out.
Great dining experience in the Grand Opal Resort! We made advance reservations and they have valet parking. Make sure to have the restaurant validate your parking ticket or it will be a bit more than the $10 for dining here. The restaurant has a little bit of a nautical view. We sat outdoors with a view of Atlantic Ave. Alice our server was personable, attentive and on point with her recommendations. My wife and I shared their maple, pomegranate Brussels sprouts which were very good! For a main course I had their lamb and my wife the shellfish stew with lobster, mahi and shrimp. It was all good. For dessert we had a chocolate truffle on a rice krispy crust with raspberry syrup and whipped cream. A very good dining experience and a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
We stayed at the Grand Opal during our visit to Delray Beach- lovely hotel and great restaurant Drift! The menu was enticing enough to lure us here 2.5 times despite all the great options around town. Our server in training Colleen was a delight and staff overall were professional and courteous especially accommodating my mother who uses a walker. We loved the food, that whipped feta app was amazing, fish specials fresh and great flavor combos. I had to try the pizza after seeing some other customers eating it- so good but very large! Lastly the key lime pie martini was perfectly balanced- not overly sweet but hit all the notes of KLP. I'd definitely recommend Drift if staying at the Opal or nearby, check it out!

Went with a few friends for dinner. The restaurant is located at the Opal Hotel across from the beach in Delray. The Hotel is beautiful. Parking is a challenge. There is ballet parking, or meter parking across by the beach. I has steak & salad was cooked perfectly. My friend had the pork chop which had an amazing glaze, recommend by the waiter. Other items were salads, pizza, and steak sandwich ( which looked amazing , and my friend liked). Highly recommend for nice vibe, verify menu & prices online to avoid surprises . There is a bar one story above the restaurant, which is very lovely .
Started with a tini ~as I always do~ and the whipped feta. I am a feta fanatic so I must order any feta dish on the menu and let me tell you - she DID NOT disappoint. BIG portion = BIG smiles (ask for extra toast). Moved on the Maine Lobster Bisque and Drift came throughhhhhh on the large chunks of lobsta *heaven sent*. Ended with the Bistro Steak and I'm not sure if I was in a food coma or what but I wasn't vibing with it. I'd probably opt for another option next time BUT I'd go back. Great little GNO vibes. $10 to valet park with restaurant validation (don't forget or you are going to have to walk all the way back. I made the mistake, so you don't have to :P)
Went for lunch and sat to the bar. This visit definitely made up for last time we came and was not well taken care of. The bartender was amazing. She made great drinks and was very pleasant. The Lobster Bisque 10/10 King Salmon Salad 10/10 ( was very crisp in flavor and the salmon was cooked perfectly) Steak Burger & Fries 10/10 (cooked medium and so juicy. The pickles served with were good too) I know that lunch would be the ideal time to come as it was not too busy and loud like our first visit. I was able to enjoy my food and a nice lunch with my husband
Very pleasant and swift service. This restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere. The portions are rather large. I tried their special of duck bao buns. They were ok, but they had some bone pieces included. I also tried a main scallop pasta dish that was decent and enough for two people.
Located in the Opal resort hotel, but has separate entrance to Atlantic Ave so you don't have to enter through hotel. Valet parking and you can get your parking ticket validated at restaurant for portion of the parking fee. restaurant is modern, open with inside and outside seating. Has bar seating with TVs. Nice ambiance and decor feels open, and can have a conversation as wasn't to loud. Great location across street from the beach. There for lunch, seated promptly, waitress was quick to take drinks orders and we asked for recommendations which she provided. We went with the steak sandwich and lobster salad, both were very good. Good size portions of lobster on the salad and steak sandwich was filled with ample steak, the fries were nice and hot. Waitress was attentive and drinks were refilled timely. Will return.

We got the feta dip, mussels, steak frites, and chocolate dessert and all were fantastic. A beautiful restaurant for a nice sunset dinner with plenty of inside and outside seating.

Service - From the moment you walk in, they greet you with a smile and they're very friendly. The wait staff are very accommodating and professional. Very nice staff. Ambiance - Beautiful place! Great design. Food - My company and I enjoyed the food very much. But the ONLY reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because I wish they don't offered more vegan options, including dessert so we don't have to look for it somewhere else. read more
A more 'upscale' restaurant inside the Opal Grand Resort. Perfect for brunch on Sundays when they have live music and a buffet style with rotating cuisines. You can order from the normal menu or opt in for the buffet. Just be sure to make reservations and get there earlier so the buffet is at peak. Valet parking only unless you can find a spot on the street. I've been for dinner and happy hour a few times and I'll say I prefer the brunch experience as it's a switch up from others on the Ave. read more
I've been to Drift a couple of times now, so I feel confident enough to make my review. I have been for both lunch and dinner, and the all day menu is great! There is so much to choose from at a decent price point. The restaurant is located inside the Opal Grand Hotel, so it's easily accessible for guests and locals alike. Staff was friendly both times and offered suggestions when asked. I enjoy sitting outside on their wrap around porch, because you can see the ocean and people watch down Atlantic Ave! Pictured here is what I had for lunch the SLOW-ROASTED CHICKEN BLT- Pulled Chicken Salad, Thick-Cut Candied Bacon, Tomato Jam, Lettuce, Avocado, Black Pepper Mayonnaise, Grilled Rustic Bread. It was so tasty and everything was fresh! We've had plenty of other items in the menu: steak frites, pappardelle bolognese, drift burger, beef tenderloin, etc. Everything is delicious and cooked perfectly! This spot is the perfect place to bring your friends or have a nice romantic date night. The decor is ascetically pleasing and very relaxing. Beach vibes all around! Drift is the No. 1 restaurant in Delray Beach according to TripAdvisor. They don't lie! We were shown to a table on the outdoor deck. I saw there was an empty table that I preferred, and I asked to move to that table against the railing by the street. The hostess said she'd checked and then came back and moved our table closer to where I I wanted to sit. When I said that wasn't the table I requested and can we please sit at that table (pointing to it again), she said it was just set. What does that mean? That's the only negative I can say about this restaurant. I had reservations, and there was no reserve sign on the table I preferred to sit at so there was no reason I couldn't sit there. The hostess had a little attitude. Not cool. Thankfully, our server, Kevin, was the total opposite. He was very attentive, friendly, and engaging. He made our dining experience better because of that. We started with cocktails, a gin & tonic for my husband and a Smoky 75 for me. We shared the lobster avocado toast and burrata & beet salad. I requested bread service to go along with our salad, and Kevin brought out a basket of small rolls with accompanying butter and a small dish of seasoned olive oil. The lobster avocado toast was beautifully, plated. Three small rounds of toast with lobster, avocado, lemon aioli, caviar, egg and petite greens made the perfect bite. The burrata & pear salad had a good amount of cheese on the plate with cubed golden beets and greens. Very tasty. My husband had the grouper for dinner and I had tilefish, which is a local fish according to our server. My husband's grouper was pan seared and cooked perfectly, so moist. My tilefish was an off-the-menu special. It wasn't as light as grouper or flounder, but it was good. Both fish dishes were a generous portion. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious! Drift has a large indoor dining area and also plenty of seating outside. The bar area is large and there are also loveseats and club chairs outdoors to have a cocktail. Drift is located in the Opal Hotel. It's a very popular place, so make sure to make reservations. read more
I would have never thought about checking this place out, but went to lunch with a friend that lives in the area and is a regular here. I am SO GLAD that he introduced me to this place!!! First of all, it's inside of a super nice hotel called Opal, and the decor is absolutely phenomenal. We sat outside so we had a very nice view and could feel the ocean breeze while we enjoyed our delicious food and drinks! We got the marguerita pizza to share, my friend had had it before and highly recommended it. I was impressed! The dough is super light and thin, not too much sauce, just perfect. My friend also had the mahi tacos and he said they were amazing! There are so many different drink options we didn't know what to get, but thankfully we had the nicest waitress ever and she gave us some tips on which ones to get! We had like 5 drinks each!!! It was the longest and most delicious lunch ever! I can't wait to be back here and try everything else on the menu!! read more

Prepare to be in Love with this one. Everything about this spot is amazing. We had the time of our lives at this restaurant that sits in the Opal grand hotel. The beautiful view of the beach was absolutely breathtaking and a site to see, the service was amazing. Also, they(waiters)were around the clock removing plates and refilling cups. What a great place to go for lunch! A beautiful day - we sat outside - it's part of The Opal Grand Hotel. The vibe is so warm and everywhere in the restaurant there is something to look at -whether it's a picture, wood bench or sculpture. It was delightful. Had lobster Cobb (cold water lobsters salad, crisp romaine, peppered applewood smoked bacon, heirloom tomato, cucumber chopped egg with creamy tarragon dressing on the side) and my friend had drift chicken bowl (her marinated free range chicken, shaved Brussels sprouts, baby greens, heirloom tomato, Persian cucumber, bucheron goat cheese, pomegranate, puffed quinoa with preserved lemon vinaigrette) and loved it. I felt so relaxed that I felt as if I was on vacation (although I live here). I just love the vibe here. - it is so warm and friendly. On the weekends it is quite different. Sundays there is live music and brunch! Brunch is $45 a person. Just so you know, with that are Bloody Marys for $28 a person. Beautiful all around. Highly recommend. read more

What a great location for dinner out with friends or solo. A happening, lively scene with so many seating options in an upscale yet beach-casual setting. A large bar area, lounge chairs, regular tables plus a to go option. Tasteful decor, TV screens and beautiful lighting complement a great menu with enough flatbread, surf and turf options for everyone. Drift seems to offer great value. We feel welcome whether we dine in or order to go. Highly recommended. read more

What a beautiful spot in Delray Beach, how have I not been here sooner? The restaurant itself is gorgeous - gorgeous flooring, comfortable seats, very trendy, and sexy. I absolutely loved the wine cellar in the back of the restaurant and the private rooms in the back are gorgeous. We arrived fairly early and had some cocktails at the bar for happy hour. I had Pinot Grigio (which they had more non California options for HH!) and my fiance had vodka/lemonade. I really appreciated the menu - lots of interesting options. We started with the lobster bisque soup - which was very tasty. Then we decided to split the crispy chicken cabana with a side of coleslaw. The sandwich was very tasty overall and I loved the presentation. We also split a 1/2 portion of the hand-tossed chicken tagliatelle - pasta was definitely homemade and cooked very al dente, which we loved. The dish itself was tasty - and the power greens on top tasted very fresh. The restaurant was fairly crowded when we left - lots of business people - I can see why - perfect for a work dinner! We'll have to come back to try some of the other menu options! read more

I've been here a couple times and the service at the bar is always great. Bartender Je really makes sure to take care of his customers and his drinks are the best. They have dessert drinks separate from the drink menu so make sure to ask for the dessert menu if you're in the mood for a sweet unique drink. Drift is also a very clean restaurant with nautical theming. It's at the Opal Grand Resort right on Ocean Blvd so it's a nice spot to stop for a drink or some food before or after a beach day. read more

My wife and I went there last year and loved it. This time not as much. We loved that it made us feel like we were on vacation. Casandra was great as her server. She was very attentive and apologized for the long wait on drink orders. The food was a step down from last time. Dry chicken sandwich and my wife thought the lobster avocado toast was subpar. We will eventually go back but not to eat for a while. read more
The perfect beach restaurant !!! It's fancy pretty and the food is fantastic. The interior design is impeccable such a fun and open space we all love to dine at! The food is so good and the menu is a pretty versatile one with something for everyone. The cesar salad was so good with the toasted capers and the mussels were my favorite. Of course all the fish was good and that crem brûlée hit home !!! Can't wait to take all my friends from out of town to this spot !! read more
