Really tried to give them another chance but they just can't get it right. Don't bother coming here if you're in a rush as they take their sweet time and have no respect for others times. I called to make an appointment for 4:30 - from my observation I honestly think they do not take them seriously unless they're set up with an actual person and even then they don't strategically think about how they should take customers to fulfill an appointment on time. At this point DONT DO APPOINTMENTS! Ugh! Anyway.. waited 30min to start a pedicure. Pedicure took an hour. Waited another 30min to get my nails done. So the pro's of this place is that they are very reasonably priced for being in the city and they do a good job, which is why I gave it two stars. However, the reason for only two stars is their wait time including even if you make an appt. I had stopped going here a couple years ago because I would make appts and still have to wait an hour. One of the days I specifically made an appt because I had to be somewhere after and because they didn't uphold my appt time and I waited for 45 min and I ended up having to walk out because I no longer had enough time. Despite that I decided to give them another try recently (because they are close to where I live) I did make another appt and was still waiting over an hour before someone got to me. People make appts for a reason because we have things to do. If you can't uphold those appt times you need to tell them or don't accept them. I purposely left work early for this appt just to sit and wait for an hour. I would suggest they let people know the wait time when they come in (with or without an appointment) or don't take appointments if you can't manage them. The place is clean. You pay for service before they are finished with your nails. When i was signing my name for my purchase, the clerk asked " You not tip"? I was kinda taken back, because I have NEVER had anyone basically demand a tip from me (especially when the service was NOT completed). Long story short, I pulled out my CASH & said to her "Do you NOT take CASH? In which she then replied, Oh, yes, yes!! I tipped her when she finished my service. I do not know if this is a common practice with everyone, or just certain customer. What i do know is"It is extremely rude to say the least". I been here a few times. I only didn't like my nails once when the gel was to heavy and just to thick that my nails looked like bricks. Since then, I make sure to say not to thick with the gel. I told the nail tech I had been waiting an hour and asked why I wasn't being attended to before a walk in. The tech told me they were busy. That's all she said! People kept coming in for services and were told to wait. The customer service here is non existent-unless you're someone they know apparently. Used to enjoy this place, but now they seem to not take account for who walked in first and order of service. Just recently was there to get a regular manicure before an event and knew they'd be a little busy since it was Friday afternoon. Picked my color and quietly sat and waited... For 45 minutes! Went here for the first time after a friend recommended me and I saw the Yelp reviews. I was a little skeptical because of the mediocre reviews but I'm glad I went. My regular nail lady was out of town and the other nail techs in her salon were booked. I needed my nails done desperately they looked terrible! I called Dreamscape this morning and was happy to be told that Sherry had availability in the afternoon. When I walked in I wasn't immediately greeted but someone did eventually ask if they could help me. I told them I have an appointment with Sherry and they advised I pick my color. I waited for a little bit until Sherry was done with her last client. She prepped my nails by filing them down then she told me to go get my pedicure. The lady that did my pedicure was amazing. The massage was great and lasted long. They do this hot towel treatment which feels wonderful. I finished up with Sherry for my fill-in. I sooo in love. I give her an A+ I love that she has just about everything for nail designs, she knows what she's doing and she is nice as well as patient. My gel nails weren't piled on with product. They looked sleek and sexy. The shape, design and length was exactly what I wanted. I'm so pleased! You don't know how hard and nerve wracking it is to find GOOD nail shops. I found another one! Disgusted, disappointed, and will never ever ever return. (Ever). Let's start with the beginning: walked in @ 6:30 and asked for a fill-in and pedicure. Waited about 15 minutes (which was fine). Got sat in a chair with no bowl liner. Which is fine. But I WITNESSED WITH MY OWN TWO EYES the lady next to me sit down to get her pedicure in a bowl that was never cleaned from the previous customer. My towel that was under my feet was filthy with old polish. Gross, but again ... whatever. My lady took a RAZOR TO MY FOOT WITHOUT ASKING!!! I cannot believe all the disgusting things they do here... and to put a possibly uncleaned razor (she pulled it from a drawer), and to put it on MY foot without ASKING????? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!???? Pedicure lasts about an hour. Bringing us to me beginning my fill in at around 8 (when they CLOSE!) which is fine, I'm on no time restraint, but apparently they are. My fill in was so so so disappointingly rushed. Honestly, look at the pix. They should have told me they just couldn't do it... but on top of it... he charged me for 2 fill ins that needed a full replacement... which is fine... but when I mentioned my total would be the exact same as just getting a whole new full set, the older manager lady rushed over and said "we will charge $10 to soak them off".... because....?!? They're closing early?!?! Orrrr...?!?? Oh wait... it gets better... as I'm getting my right hand finished, the manager walks over and demands I pay right away... I give her my card with my left hand, and she leaves for several minutes. She comes back and says... it's 8 o'clock, we need it signed... and while I am legit in the middle of getting acrylic put on, asks the man to stop doing my nails so I can sign my paper with the hand that has wet acrylic. HAVE. YOU. LOST. YOUR. MIND. Also... gross #2... I legit saw one of the ladies take USED ACETONE AND PUT IT BACK IN THE BOTTLE!!!!!! (From a soak off). Sitting under the dryer for maybe 4 minutes, he rushed over and says "good to go. Be careful" as his bag is on his arm and they're basically running to turn the lights off..... I'm so disappointed here and I would never spend another dime at this location. I honestly could have done a better job in the dark with my eyes closed. I'm so so so so upset with this place. So disappointed! I have faithfully (bi-weekly) patronized this place and today the on-site manger (2nd chair on the right side) gave me the worst pedicure! I asked he to fix it and she told me that "no one can see down there". Pedicure was good too, and the massage was soo soothing and relaxing, I fell asleep. Lovely experience with Amy! Call first before you come in to get an accurate measure of how long your wait would be. I called earlier and was told that if I came in there'd be no wait (however there was a short 10 min one when I came in, no big deal though considering I was technically a walk-in). I like how they label their colors with the actual brands (I only like certain brands for my no-chips) so that was great. They have OPI and CND, two of the best brands IMO, and a pretty decent selection of colors as well. A no-chip here will run you $30, which I feel is a pretty good price considering it's in the neighborhood! They also have a punch card where you get a free no-chip after 8 or 9 I believe. I've never seen any other salons offer this so I'll definitely be taking advantage! The manicure itself was good, a little bit of nail missed on the edge for certain fingers but I guess I understand since I got a relatively light color so it might be easy for the technician to miss a sliver or too. It came with your standard no-chip hot towel and mini hand massage. My no-chip lasted 3 weeks, which is pretty good I think.
