    Chicken and Beef Combo
    Jesmin N.

I'd compare this to any other kabob place in the area. The chicken and beef kabobs/koobideh were both good. Meats were tender and juicy. The lamb was juicy but a bit too charred and ended up being bitter. I forget what the eggplant dish is called. It was ok but needed a bit more flavor. Service was good. The owner helped us and was very conversational. He told us about his family back home and he had pictures of his dad (I believe) on the walls.

1st visit. We didn't get our sambosa & Lamb Shank online said it comes with Lima beans. We didn't get either. Rice is cooked well. So far, this is the ONLY place I like ghormeh sabzi from!! I love shahrzad & sheesh kebab so much, but even Kasra - nobody has enough herbs or lime lol. Will def order GZ again here. :) The koobideh was cooked very well, slightly charred & not burned. The lamb is very tender & good. The thick broth reminds me of base lentil stew - I didn't see if they offer that but hopefully. It's all very good aside from missing things. Just check your order. We will for sure plan to dine inside.

I love the food! The koobeidh kabobs are so fresh and I love there tahdig (burnt rice). I come here very often and I am very impressed with the quality, quantity and taste. The portions are good the food is fresh and the taste is spectacular, it's a good bang for your buck compared to other pricy Persian restaurants. The service is good, the owner Masood is very friendly, and the location is nice. This place is a must !

I asked the waiter if the lamb shank was fresh, and he confirmed it was. When the lamb shank arrived, it was steaming, and the waiter emphasized its freshness because of the steam. However, while eating, I noticed that one side of the lamb shank was refrigerator cold. I had no idea how long it had been in the fridge. I decided not to mention this to the waiter since I wasn't planning to return. When I went to pay, my bill, which included the $21.99 lamb shank, an orange juice, and an ice water, totaled $41. Upon checking the receipt, I saw that I had been charged $11 for the orange juice and an additional $5.50 as a tip which he didn't even ask if I wanted to tip or not. This owner is not trustworthy and overcharges customers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My wife got sick from eating at this place, literally threw up after the first bite of her zereshk polo that she ordered for take out. They either used bad oil or old oil. I knew something didn't smell right when I went to pickup the order.

The seating is very coordinated and the food itself is incredible. I ordered the adanna kebab. The servers were kind and very attentive and held attention the entire time. Really enjoyed

Fantastic place and wasn't expecting much. Very authentic Persian (Mediterranean) food. We had a Salad, Hummus, beef/chicken kabobs, Naan bread, rice, and a beef tongue sandwich. Not fancy but the flavors and meat quality were outstanding.

I was only able to do a take out and forgot to take pictures I was so hungry. The food was so good wish I could go again, but not only that the service was great. The person at the counter was so nice and patient since it was our first time and we were in a hurry. Good experience overall.

So you can imagine it was a pretty big group. The place was buzzing as usual. Turns out two other groups were also celebrating their birthdays there. What are the chances? Ambiance/Atmosphere Rating: 9.5 out of 10. What we tried: Lamb Shank Plate: tender, fall off the bone lamb, with rice that is so tasty that you can just eat the rice by itself. I don't even like rice like that; it's not one of my favorite carbs. The Lamb had a very mild flavor. 9.5 out of 10 for me. Chicken Kebob Plate: normally I wouldn't order chicken kebob as I feel that it can get a bit dry, but not at this restaurant. Tbh, most Iranian kebabs are very juicy and flavorful, and this was the same. Another 9.5 for me. Overall Food Rating: 9.5 out of 10. Customer service was excellent. They were very patient with our large group. Didn't even roll their eyes when we requested them to take our pictures . They showed extreme patience with us from the beginning till the end. Apparently, the owners at Shiraz were the old owners at Giovanni's. It is located in a small strip mall and very nice inside. We were seated right away. To appease her, we also ordered some appetizers of Hummus and Babaganoush. Both were very tasty with a different taste profile than the Lebanese or Greek versions. The Koobideh and Chicken Kebab combination plate was delicious. The Rice and Grilled Tomatoes that came with it were very tasty as well. We finished off with some Baklava and Persian Tea. The Baklava tasted like it was made in-house. This place is a little pricier than some other Persian Restaurants but you can tell in their quality. I would definitely return here in the future.

The koobideh itself was good, definitely tasty, but more in the "solid" range rather than something that really stands out compared to other spots I've tried. I also had the mast o khiar. Super fresh, really flavorful, and a big portion. I like to eat it with the bread and alongside the koobideh, which might not be traditional but I love it. I also tried the tahdig gheymeh that my friend ordered. First time having it and I'm glad I did. The rice had a nice crunch and the stew was flavorful. Not sure I'd order it normally, but worth trying. The restaurant was pretty quiet during lunch, just one other table, so service was quick and smooth. I left full and satisfied. Overall, a good spot with generous portions and solid flavors. Not the absolute best Persian food I've had, but still a place I'd come back to when I'm in the area.

All the meats, including the chicken items because a lot of time those are over cooked. The lamb tikka, and sheeh tawook were my favorites, but I did enjoy them all. The desserts were a miss for us over all. The ice cream was on the icy side and not as creamy, kunafa was ok but I've had better. The baklava was like any baklava you can get, so not bad. It is slightly pricey but worth it in my opinion. Nice place that can accommodate larger parties, but also has some booths for intimate date night. The meat is also halal so a great option for anyone that needs that.
