After reading some great reviews, my wife and I stopped here for lunch and we were thoroughly impressed with the food as well as the service. We ordered a masala dosa and a combo meal that came with two idlis, a vada, and a madras filter coffee. My wife also ordered a chai. Both beverages were flavorful but were served in very small stainless cups so a couple of sips made them disappear. All the food tasted great, including the chutneys. We were disappointed we didn't get to try our favorite green mint chutney since they were in the process of making more. The standout for us was definitely the dosa, which was perfectly crispy and thin. Many places serve thin and crispy dosas but what made this one extra special for us was that it did not shatter into small pieces like a cracker. The filling was on the mild side but very tasty. Prices were reasonable and the portion size was decent. Even though there were new workers being trained, the service was excellent overall. The restaurant was clean and there was ample mix of tables and booths. We will go back to try other items on the menu. read more

Needless to say I was wrong, everything we ordered came out to be 8/10. Even if you didn't have time ti eat here just grab the filter coffee. One of the best filter coffees I've tried ever. We were doing a long drive from Texas to Chicago and after fighting I-35 traffic for too many hours, needed a comfort meal. We pulled in here near our stopover for the night. We were seated immediately in a comfortable and spacious booth. We had people ready to take our order immediately - they must have so many regulars who don't even need to see a menu. We decided to get the idly/vada combo to start with and the weekend special thali. I loved the fact that it's fully vegetarian and my husband, who is not, claimed he could be with food variety and flavors such as this. I won't describe the thali items given it rotates but suffice to say, we enjoyed each item. We also had the traditional coffee. Our bill for 2 was $40 which was quite reasonable for the amount of food as well as variety. There was a mixup where they had another table pay our bill and asked us to close out theirs (it was only $1 apart so no issues). If you pay by cash, they offer a 5% discount. read more

Saidepet idly vada curry, madurai malli masala dosa(which is minty), poori, and their filter coffee is highly recommended!! The kuttu porotta was ok.. it wasn't crispy but very soggy! I've ordered plenty of times from here and always enjoyed their Mini Meals and Tiffin Combos. Appetizers are a hit or miss, so I wouldn't recommend them. Amazing experience here at A2B. We got the South Indian thali and the paper roast dosa. The dosa was the best I've had in DFW. It was so thin and crispy and definitely lived up to its name. Each bite paired really well with the chutneys and sambar. The South Indian thali was great as well. It's vegetarian but the flavors really stood out. Some were spicy but overall not too bad. I had my graduation party at A2B Hall and the experience was absolutely amazing! I booked the hall months in advance, and Ramesh was so accommodating he patiently went through all the packages with me, and I chose the Dosa package. Chef Saravanan did an incredible job! We had so much fun choosing from 5-6 varieties of dosa, along with sambar, a variety of chutneys, potato masala, railway veg cutlets, and the badam milk was delicious. The hall decoration was stunning they rolled out a red carpet, the stage looked beautiful, and the seating arrangements were elegant. They took care of decoration, food, cleaning, and lighting, and the space was perfect for all our guests. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always reachable, which made the entire experience stress-free. Everything from the food to the ambiance to the service was top-notch. We had a party in their banquet. Stay away from this place. Food was always short and main guy on duty was not very easy to work with.

When you are a vegetarian restaurant, charging $9 for an order of mysore bonda, at least give a couple of chutneys. Every restaurant around here gives a cocunut chutney, peanut chutney and sambar and charge less. This one charges more, and gives less. They are the size of punugulu and came in a tiny box. Bonda also was not cooked properly. Inside is all half cooked. Can taste the flour. It left a disgusting after taste. Even the cocunut chutney that they gave was not enough. I see a lot of negative reviews but my two take-out orders here have been great, The A2B Bisebelle bath is a few notches above Saravana Bhavan (I like that place, too). I'm not sure if it is the pearl onions or something else, but the BB there is exceptional. We also ordered a couple of cauliflower-based snacks, and they were good, too. We also ordered the Curd Rice, and that was great (Now you can't screw up curd rice much...so discount that if you want to in the review.) I think I am officially addicted to the A2B Bisibelabath. We order from this restaurant at least twice a week, and it is always super-yum. It comes with lemon pickle, fryums, papad, and sundried chilies (they do skimp on fryums, papad, and sundried chilies, so double-check if they added enough before). The Bisibelabath at this restaurant beats every restaurant I have tried so far. I have even ordered it for my friends and family and received their approval. Food was okay. Mango Lassi was straight out of a can, sweet lime soda was warm, not sweet, not tasting of lime, straight, and came with a rotten mint leaf. Food was cold when supposed to be warm, and cold items were all warm, even after feedback, nothing. Ordered another sweet lime soda, same ordeal. We have always enjoyed the food here and this is our usual vegetarian haunt. The food taste and quality are great! The wait staff is cordial, warm, and hospitable, but the kitchen staff always seems to be in a different time zone. Most of the time our orders have been served at different times where we either shared or one ate while the other watched. This time we decided to order one thing and share so that we could enjoy a meal together. We ordered Kadhai Paneer with a Parotta and an extra parotta. We waited and after a long wait (about 15 minutes) had to ask our server to intervene. People who arrived after us were served their food. Our food arrived and we realized that we would need another Parotta so we ordered one more. We ate slowly and then we were done and then we waited again and after about 10 minutes we got our Parotta. By this time the Parotta was hot but the paneer was cold. Great food but an unreliable dining experience! From now on may get a takeout but will avoid dining in. read more

By the time the starter finally showed up, we had already moved past the finish line. If they were aiming for a suspenseful dining experience, they nailed it. I have visited at this restaurant several times and have never had complaints about the taste of their food. It has remained consistent for the most part. For the first time, we did a delivery order and it turned out to be very disappointing. Not sure if this is because of the impact of new mamagement and not having the right employees preparing the food, the order was not to the standard. The famous A2B Vegetrian resturant Sambar is a signature dish and something this restaurant is famous for The order yesterday was nowhere close to the original flavor. One if my fav Indian Veg places around Dallas area. I went here for brunch and love that thr flavors are simple and consistent. I also order take away from this place all the time and was never disappointed. Nothing to rave about the ambience but it is well lit and clean which is enough for us to sit for a nice lunch/brunch or dinner. Not a fancy restaurant but does the job more than needed. The food was good however the service was crap. We came in around 4pm when it was not busy . Not only did our waitress (Sowmya ) lacks attention to detail. I asked for the special Rasam and she placed the order . After the remainder of the food was brought out , we were still waiting on the rasam. I asked about the rasam- only then did she inform us that they were out . We waited for the coffee ( that comes with the meal) and after flagging her and another staff member (~10mins of waiting) , only to be told that it will take 5mins! ( ironic bc 2 other tables seated after us, got their coffee a few mins before) . She is inept in the service department and her lack of knowledge, attention detail and her nonchalant attitude has soured our experience. We are frequent customers to this location and this kind of service is not acceptable. The owner of this location needs to remind his shift manager to train part time staff appropriately. I am new to the area and my friend has been a regular visitor of this restaurant m. Based on his recommendation, I visited a couple of weeks ago. We ordered bisibelabath and the dish had half cooked vegetables. We reported it to our waiter and they replaced it with another item from the menu as a compensation. We thought it could be a one off day where they missed it and decided to give it another try and it was another let down. While the vegetables were cooked to perfection this time, the food was bland (lack of salt and spice). It was like eating rice mixed with dal.
