You can book a table through Google . Ambience is good.. lots of seats inside to sit and eat. Lots of parking outside.. location wise it is very, very good. Very close to other shops and restaurants.. The menu was exhaustive.. so many Andhra style dishes. Mudda Pappu rice was a speciality home made food which they sell. Biryani., naan , North Indian, South Indian, - you name it and they have it . The guy was very helpful, giving their best dishes in the menu.. service was really good.. Started off with a vada . It was ok. I think it is machine made . Outside crispy and inside hard ! All machine based vadas taste the same . Wish they can make it with hand . The special lunch thali was super good. It was our first time dining at BB Frisco. Had heard alot of good experiences that we ought to try for ourselves. Fortunately we were able to reserve a table for our family. We were given the table as soon as we checked in. Immediately the waitress gave us the ipad for Menu. Pretty tech savvy. Service of food was prompt as well. The food was good on South Indian flavors. I've never seen so many brown people in my life in Dallas so you know it's legit. The wait was clearly an indicator of the popularity of this place and I could not believe how it went on and on inside. I should've counted how many people were working! As someone who is always on the lookout for authentic Indian food, especially the kind that reminds you of home, Bharat Bhavan had been on my radar for a while. A place that promises a mix of South Indian classics along with Indo-Chinese favorites always piques my curiosity. So we decided to stop by and give it a try. Located in Frisco, Texas it is fairly easy to find. Parking was also manageable, which is always a plus. The place has a casual and welcoming vibe, nothing overly fancy, but comfortable and inviting. Even on a Tuesday, the place was packed. Fortunately, we had called and reserved a place. The décor leans toward a traditional Indian restaurant feel with a simple setup that keeps the focus on the food. We were soon seated and provided with Fryums, which we finished within a minute. The server wad happy to answer questions about the menu. We decided to explore a variety of items from different sections of the menu and the food came out at a reasonable pace. We ordered: 1 Mushroom ghee roast 1 Baby corn manchurian 1 Onion chilli uttapam 1 Benne dosa 1 Chole bhature 1 Set dosa with salna 1 Jackfruit biryani The 'Mushroom ghee roast', was truly excellent with great flavors. The mushrooms were nicely coated in the rich, spicy ghee roast masala, delivering that bold South Indian punch. Next came the 'Baby corn Manchurian',, a classic Indo-Chinese favorite. The baby corn had a good crunch and the sauce had that familiar tangy-spicy flavor you associate with hakka cuisine. For the dosa section, we tried the 'benne dosa', which had a nice buttery flavor and crisp texture- simple yet satisfying. The 'Set dosa with Salna' was soft and fluffy, and the salna added a nice aromatic gravy element to the dish. The 'Onion chilli uttapam' was thick, soft, and generously topped with brown onions, making it a comforting bite. All the above South Indian dishes were great but what blew us away was the 3 chutneys: Tamarind, Spicy Tomato Chilli and Green Peanut. They were absolutely delicious and took the food to another level. The Sambhar however was decent but not that great. Moving to the North Indian side, the 'Chole bhature' came with fluffy bhature and well-spiced chole. We absolutely loved the depth of flavor. Finally, the 'Jackfruit biryani' was an interesting and enjoyable dish. The jackfruit worked surprisingly well as a meat substitute, absorbing the biryani spices nicely and adding a unique texture. However, some of us found it to be bit more on the tangy side. To Foodies: If you enjoy exploring a wide range of Indian flavors, from South Indian breakfast classics to Indo-Chinese appetizers and hearty North Indian dishes, this place is worth checking out. The menu offers variety, and it's a good spot if you want to try multiple styles of Indian cuisine in one sitting. To Management: You have a solid and diverse menu that covers many Indian favorites. Continuing to maintain consistency in flavor and presentation will go a long way. While I liked the food they have waaaaay too many choices which actually works against its favor because it was overwhelming at some point to navigate the endless menu choices. The wait time here is far too long for the quality of food served. While the Benne Dosa was okay, the rest of the meal was a major disappointment. This is our new breakfast spot for Idly & Dosa whenever we have a craving. We have been here twice for breakfast we usually go early so getting a seat is not a problem at all. We have tried their Idly's , Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa, Medu Vada & Rava Masala Dosa. Everything we have tried we loved it . Their variety of chutneys given on the table are also very good. Food quality & freshness is very nice , service is also pretty quick sometimes it's too fast by the time you are halfway the other dish it's already ready to be placed on the table. This restaurant was PACKED when I went. My friends and I had to wait like 15 mins to get seated. I do like how organized the staff was. Every member had tablets to take care of the customers. I thought Bharat Bhavan was on the more flavorful side of the Indian restaurants I've been to (this is a good thing). I especially enjoyed the "Sev Puri". The Masala Dosa was HUGE! Ordered one Puri with Bombay Sagu(aloo curry), 70mm Dosa and Lasuni Gobi My daughter loved the puri as she always does. Lasuni gobi did not look like the picture on the menu, but tasted good! 70mm dosa was good for 2 adults and a kid, it comes with plenty of chutneys and you can request for more. OMG! This place! So authentic. I'm honestly a little sad I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted because I started digging in the moment the dishes hit the table, they were ALL insanely good! There's usually a wait (up to an hour for seating), but trust me, it's absolutely worth it. If you're looking for authentic Indian dishes bursting with flavor and made with clean, high-quality ingredients, this is the place to be. The restaurant itself looked very spacious, and the aesthetics were super cool too. This was by far one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've ever had. Nothing about the visit was smooth or customer-friendly. We were told our table would be ready in 30 minutes, but we ended up waiting 1.5 hours, and only got seated after repeatedly reminding the staff. The lack of basic communication and responsibility was shocking. The service throughout the meal was equally careless. After the table was cleaned, the water pitcher wasn't replaced, and the cutlery and water tumblers were never set again. We had to ask multiple times just to get basic cutlery -- something that should be standard in any restaurant. The food experience was no better. They refuse to customize anything, which is honestly unbelievable -- I've never seen a restaurant flat-out deny simple customization. When the food finally arrived (after another long delay), it wasn't even the food we ordered. At that point, we were so fed up with the delays that we had to cancel part of our order. Overall, the service was unprofessional, inattentive, and incredibly disappointing. Between the long wait times, missing basics like water and cutlery, incorrect food, zero flexibility, and the staff's lack of accountability, this restaurant is absolutely not worth the time or money. Our waiter was very quick. Smart and gave us information of dishes which might take time. We got pre appetizers of fryums which was super yummy. Highly overpriced for what's offered. The food was very basic in taste and didn't live up to expectations at all. Service management was also quite poor, which made the experience even more disappointing. We paid around 450 for a party of 11 just for breakfast, and it was highly unsatisfying. It's a newly opened restaurant, The lovely thing is that it's a pure vegetarian restaurant. I've been here a couple of times and I really love this place. The hospitality is excellent and the food is good with very reasonable prices it's actually quite affordable for the city. However, the naan needs to be cooked more. Right now, they seem to just put it in quickly and take it out to keep it soft, but it ends up looking and feeling like raw dough. I understand they don't want to burn it, but naan needs to be properly cooked people can't eat it if it's undercooked. The service is great especially Jahnavi, who took care of our table She was very nice and gave us some good food suggestions. We tried the restaurant gongura cooker paneer pulao which tasted good, but it was too wet. Pulao should be a little dry otherwise I would have given 5 stars. We also come here sometimes just for tea and snacks with friends. Yesterday when we came for dinner, we had to wait for 1 hour because it was very crowded. It's getting busy which is a good sign, but they need to manage it better! Overall, it's a good place in the city, but they need to double check the food preparation. I was told 20 minutes wait time but ended getting a table in 50 - the reason wasn't that they had not anticipated the correct wait time when I walked in but they were giving preference to party of 2 over 1. The food wasn't great - alu tikki chaat had sour yogurt, paneer parantha wasn't cooked fresh but felt to be heated from being frozen.
