We ordered a bunch of dishes, none of which I can spell. Everything food wise was excellent. Don't sleep on the cardamom ice cream, it was delicious. We decided on a Sunday evening whim that we wanted to try authentic Punjabi dishes and one name kept popping up in our Yelp searches - Chandigarh Bites. So we decided to drive all the way to Allen to give it a try. First some not so good : the place is hole in the wall and seating for dining is very limited and on the extremely cold nights like it was on the eve we went , there were very few corners inside where you could not feel the draft ! But once you got over this, everything else is wonderful! We decided to order - to go and though they were flooded with customers and orders over the phone, they did get us our order in quick time! The wait staff was very courteous and every customer was treated pleasantly and with respect. Now about the food they serve : true blue Punjabi fare from the City of Chandigarh in India, focusing on snack items and popular dishes like Choley Poori/ Bhatura and similar items. They do make non veg dishes and regular main meal dishes as well and every dish is made fresh and has the most authentic taste and flavor! We tried their veg items this time but plan to revisit soon to try out their non veg dishes separately. Prices are slightly steep but given the quality and quantity, the food served here is great value for money ! Oh and they also do catering to parties at home and we could see the owner discussing details of a catering for birthday party very intently with a potential customer. We wanted to try some North Indian style food so thought of checking this place out... It's a small restaurant so during peak times it can be difficult to get inside seating. We decided to do Togo so we ordered- Chana Masala, Dal Makhani & Aloo Gobi Sabzi with Tandoori roti & Makai di roti ( corn flour ) . We had to wait 15-20 mins for the food which was ok but next time will order by phone to save time... Loved their Maka di roti it was so fresh & soft . Next time we will take saag as that's the perfect combination. Everything was made well our spice preference level was mild . They is plenty of parking so it was easy. read more

This place is quite small and with basic seating, not much of am ambiance. One of the walls features celebrities from Chandigarh. We went on a week night and we were the only customers. We orfered the papadi chaat as a starter, it was average. For dinner, we ordered paneer hariyali tikka and Amritsari kulcha. The paneer tikka was okay, the onions and bell pepper were barely grilled giving a raw taste and texture. The Amritsari kulcha was impressive! It came with chana and yogurt. It tasted great and the serving is huge. I would go back just for that! The prices seemed a bit high for the kind of place it is, as the entrees don't even come with rice. read more

Authentic Punjabi Food Recently visited this small hole-in-the-wall spot in Plano, Chandigarh Bites, for dinner, and it truly delivers authentic Punjabi food with homely warmth. From quick service to bold, traditional flavors, everything felt comforting and satisfying. We started with the tandoori malai soya chaap, which was incredibly flavorful--perfectly cooked with that classic tandoor smokiness and well-balanced spices. The paneer paratha, topped with a generous dollop of fresh white butter, was outstanding. They were kind enough to make it mild for our kid, which we really appreciated. The kulcha chole was another highlight. The kulcha was soft and fluffy, and paired beautifully with the chole. The imli-pyaaz ki chutney on the side tied everything together perfectly. Service was fast, the food arrived hot, and the meal hit just right on a cozy winter evening. Since it's a small place, the wait can be long--definitely recommend going early. As a North Indian food fan, this is easily going to be my go-to spot for good Punjabi food. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes! read more

Excellent food with authentic taste of Punjab. The service is kind, sincere and knowledgeable . We have been visiting almost weekly the past month and never had a bad experience here. The best thing is that they are able to serve tasty food without killing it with pungent red chilly powder so there are no gastric troubles yet flavor is not compromised. read more

We were in Allen today for some kids stuff and stopped by this place later in the afternoon. Even though the restaurant was closed, the owner was gracious enough to offer us some food to go, and that too for no cost. The Kulchas and Chhole were amazing and the Chaat was delicious too.
