Roti Grill used to be fantastic. Now, everything is ridiculously overpriced to the point that it is shameful. Unless they adjust the portions, don't waste your money or time. It's extremely disappointing and they are losing loyal customers. This Texas Saag Paneer was $20. I also ordered the Tandoori Trio for $30. It contained 9 small pieces of meat. Was checking out kaleidoscope Park and decided that we wanted to grab food nearby. Was craving something new so decided to check this place out. The ambiance was very modern and new. Service was just okay considering we were the only ones there. Would have expected a little bit more attentiveness as we didn't originally have silverware and water refills were a bit lacking. Food itself was good! + Creative take on a grilled cheese with naan for kids + The goat soup is something I've never had before but excellent if you like the texture of Asian pig feet. Not for the faint of heart but collagen goodness! + Lamb shank was very flavorful. Could've been a little more tender but still very yummy = Butter lamb was just ok. A little tough. What a cool place to enjoy lunch or dinner, right next to The Star in Frisco! I really enjoyed Roti Grill. It's got many of the usually Indian-cuisine favorites, but also adds some lesser-seen items that really make this restaurant stand out from the rest. At the top of that list is their Lamb Chops! Served in a Masala Sauce and with Vegetables and Yellow Rice, this is easily my new favorite masala dish! The lamb is so tender, and the masala sauce adds just the right amount of spicy and savory. Not far behind, is the Shrimp Malabar. Tender shrimp simmered in a sauce of coconut milk, tomato and cream, this is a must for any shrimp lover. I started my meal with some Chicken Momo, which are nicely crisp dumplings that are still moist and filled with ground chicken and aromatic spices that have you reaching for another. Served with sides of chili sauce and sweet sauce for dipping, these are a great starter. I also tried their Mixed Tandoori Grill, which features Lamb Kabob, Shrimp, Chicken and Paneer on a bed of onions. Each one tender and flavorful. Of course, I also had some Naan - both Plain and Garlic, that I used to soak up all the delicious sauces. In addition to an ample dining room, Roti also has a full bar, and lots of outdoor seating to enjoy this fall weather. So I've been back several times and the food is consistently delicious and the service fast and friendly. I tried the thali this time and they were happy to adjust the dish to my preferences. The tamarind sauce was delicious. I don't like cooked spinach nor chick peas but they use great spices so it tasted pretty good. I had the box 1 (chicken tikka masala and channa saag), rice and naan. I had a mango lassi as well. The food came out quickly and hot. The mango lassi was perfect and not overly sweet. It was a great portion for a lunch meal. Pukar was my server and he was chatty and friendly. My daughter and I eat here about twice a month. We get the same thing each time. We share the chicken samosas and the texas sized chicken tikka masala. By this time they know us and often just repeat our order for us - to confirm. So this place use to be good but over the past year the food quality has been bad. They are now using some white like rice with instead of the yellow rice as well as the vegetable samosas are over cooked and not fresh. I don't know what happened. Also the Manager was bad customer service. They messed up my order of vegetable samosa and gave ne chicken. When I came back later to obtain the replacement he purposely one samosa in my bag (they come in pairs). The samosa was also old and reheated. I was very disappointed read more

Ambiance is nice, clean, not too loud. My spouse ordered a chicken curry and i the chicken tikka masala along with samosas for an appetizer. Samosas were tasty but barely warm. My food, along with my spouses, was also more towards room temperature, we asked for it to be warmed up. Both our entrees were "Texas size" which were expecting to be larger in portion to traditional servings but they were barely any larger. Naan and basmati rice were bland. Definitely get the butter chicken and the rice. If you want the naan, we don't recommend the garlic one unless you really love garlic (cause they add the chopped garlic in between the layers). The tandoori chicken tikka masala was good. Overall, everything was a tad bit salty. The price is justified by the location, cause I'm sure rent is high. read more
