Luckily I reserved a table before going and was able to walk in... it gets really crowded in the afternoons and weekends.. sometimes the wait times can be more than 30 minutes . You can book a table through Google . Ambience is good.. lots of seats inside to sit and eat. Lots of parking outside.. location wise it is very, very good. Very close to other shops and restaurants.. The menu was exhaustive.. so many Andhra style dishes. Mudda Pappu rice was a speciality home made food which they sell. Biryani., naan , North Indian, South Indian, - you name it and they have it . The guy was very helpful, giving their best dishes in the menu.. service was really good.. Started off with a vada . It was ok. I think it is machine made . Outside crispy and inside hard ! All machine based vadas taste the same . Wish they can make it with hand . The special lunch thali was super good. Wish they had gunpowder, avakaya, gongura on the table , to make it look more andhraish. Sambar idli was super good too. Juices gave us more refreshment. Overall a good experience . 4 stars

Overall Rating: 9 out of 10…read more This was my first time here. We sort of went here on a whim. My Dad wanted to eat Dosa and after looking at the reviews of this restaurant on @yelp we decided to give this place a try. Let's just say the food and the restaurant @maduraimesplano was a pleasant surprise! Atmosphere: we went there at around 1 pm on a Sunday, which is not really lunch time for most Desis, so we didn't see many people at the restaurant when we walked in. It got a little busier when we were about to leave after our meal. Rating: 8 out of 10 Food: we ordered two items and both items were a hit. Some Desi restaurants refuse to tone down the spice level, even if you request them to do so. This place however toned down the spice level for my Dad and I to be able to fully enjoy our food. What we ordered: - Plain Dosa with Mutton Curry: this was my Dad's first time eating Dosa and let's just say he almost hoovered it down. The Dosa was perfectly crispy, the Mutton Curry was flavorful, the meat was tender and juicy, and the chutneys were a perfect pairing for the crispy dosa. - Ambur Chicken Biryani : perfectly spiced, the chicken was tender, portion size was huge (enough to easily feed two people) Rating: 10 out of 10 Customer Service: they were very nice and checked up on us regularly without being a pest. Can't fault their service. Rating: 9 out of 10

The décor is super vibrant & insta worthy although it felt a little dusty ‍ prolly from all the carpets, cushions and heavily upholstered furniture. Also the place was super hot! Not sure if they had some issues with their ac that day as I noticed the fans were on. I tried the Irani chai, which I really liked for it being lighter and less creamy than other places. Then also tried the Kashmiri chai, just for the color of it all! So Kashmiri chai is literally pink and comes without sugar. Only thing is it comes in a cup without a handle and it's hotttt so be careful! Dessert options were limited! I was expecting more like Indian tea time snacks like jalebi and what not.

When the waitress finally came over, she just stood by the register and asked, "Did you ring the bell?" still no greeting. We asked a few questions about the difference between dahi puri and pani puri, since we don't typically eat North Indian food. The manager/owner came over to answer, but seemed annoyed that we'd asked. We ordered two appetizers, an entree, and a chai. Everything came out late. When the entree (beef nihari) finally arrived, the plate was cold. I tried the gravy with the naan room temperature at best. For $16.99 (?), the dish had one piece of beef and a large bone with what I assumed was marrow. When I tried to spoon it out, it looked frozen or congealed, and touching it confirmed it was cold. We rang the bell again, since the entire staff was in the kitchen and no one was watching the guest area. When the owner came over, I asked if the dish was supposed to be served cold. She got defensive and immediately said it had been "boiled." I told her we wouldn't be eating it and asked if she'd like to touch the marrow and gravy herself to see. Her response was, "What am I supposed to do?" She took the plate away, said she'd warm it up, and bring it back. I said no we weren't going to eat it at that point. She offered to credit the card but kept implying we'd been unhappy from the start. For asking the difference between, dahi puri and pani puri. She expects us to not be unhappy after all, the entree came late, the food was cold, chai was cold and the attitude the entire time was unpleasant. We declined the credit offer, when we heard her talk about us out loud in the kitchen, we decided to walk out without any credit and still paid the service fee and the total cost of our nasty food. On top of all that: you have to order at the cashier yourself, they still charge a service fee for a party of three, and then the tablet prompts you for a tip. Haha....THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! They spend their effort on decorations and forgot providing customer service and food quality. HORRIBLE PLACE, DO NOT GO AND WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Not returning.

It was absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of flavor and spice level was a perfect medium. The mutton was perfectly cooked and so tender. Generous portion as well. We told him we had been here before, and he mentioned he recently took over. He assisted us with our order and kindly requested us to have a seat and wait until our order was ready. Everything is made fresh-to-order, so we waited about 25-30 minutes. Usually, we opt for dine-in, but took it to enjoy at home on this visit. Mom and I had a Mango Lassi each (creamy and not too sweet) and were wowed by the array of hot items (Bondas, Idlis, Medu Vadas) along with a delectable trio of ginger, peanut, and tomato chutneys which we tried and enjoyed while we waited for our order. Will definitely return for the Ghee Roast Mutton Biryani again next time.
