We had another great meal at Panj Tara!…read more This time we had gone for their Weekend buffet lunch and since we reached just as they started serving we had the entire area almost to ourselves and the whole dining area was quiet, spic and span. Started off with loading up a plateful of small portions of the different vegetarian options and almost all of them were prepared well. Best liked dishes were the Paneer Tikka Masala and the Kadhi with those lovely Pakodas. The Tandoori Rotis served were hot, hot, light and fluffy and were very tasty while also complementing the main dishes completely. The Peas Pulao were a let down and it was not made fresh but the Plain Basmati Rice was wonderfully fresh and prepared well. I personally did not like the Tandoori Chicken as the pieces seemed have been made earlier and only re-heated and served, The Shrimp Curry was so so and the seafood seemed to have been slightly over cooked. The Chicken Do Pyaza was quite flavorful and the meat had been cooked to perfection - soft, succulent, fall-off the Bone and well marinated into the Do Pyaaza stew. I did also like the fresh sliced onions with the Punjabi house-made Achaar served as an accompaniment, which was wonderful! Finally we also tried the different desserts - the Sheera was ok but we loved the Jalebi and Fruit Custard. All in all a good value for money! We will come back for another round soon!

Spice Grove Indian Cuisine - Chicken tikka masala

I'll start by saying this, I'm not casually into Indian food. I'm an Indian food aficionado. My…read morebusiness partner is Indian, and we are constantly trying new Indian restaurants. If you really know Indian food, you know there are levels to this. Most places serve what I lovingly call Campbell's Soup Tikka Masala. Super sweet, neon red, one note, wrong color, wrong consistency. Basically tomato soup with sugar and turmeric pretending to be a masala. It fills you up, but it doesn't make you pause and savor anything. Spice Grove Indian Cuisine is not that place. This is the real deal. The flavors are layered, balanced, and clearly cooked with intention. Not overly sweet, not dumbed down, just full of garlic, spice, depth, and that unmistakable "this was done right" feeling you get when Indian food is executed properly. We ordered a spread, saag, tikka masala, butter chicken, korma, vindaloo, garlic naan, and honestly there wasn't a weak dish on the table. Everything had the right color, the right texture, and the right punch of flavor. This is food you slow down for. I won't say this is the single best Indian food I've ever had, I reserve that for a few heavy hitters like Dishoom and Brigadiers in London and Chola in New York City. But if those are 10s, this is a very solid 8.5, and that is high praise. They're busy for a reason. You cannot go wrong here. If you love Indian food, or want to understand why people love Indian food, just go. You'll leave happy and probably already planning your next visit.

We got seated but no one was there to seat us but we were able to seat ourself. The food was so delicious and filled with flavors. The butter chicken with the garlic naan was so good and had a little kick to it. We also got their chicken biriyani which was good and spicy, you can see the masala within the rice. On the side we got their pani puri which was good and perfect for sharing and as an appetizer. The last dish we got was their szheuan noodles with chicken and it was spicy if you can handle the level of spice but filled with so much flavors or Indian and Chinese flavors. Definitely will be back to try more thing son the menu:

The food stands out for being fresh, with well-balanced flavors that feel thoughtfully prepared--easily one of the better dining experiences in the area. The service also goes above and beyond what you typically find at many local spots. Unlike the usual fast-paced or basic service, the staff here are attentive and genuinely focused on hospitality. Summy took excellent care of us, even when there was a mix-up with one of the items. She handled it quickly and professionally, making sure everything was corrected without any hassle. Overall, the combination of fresh food, great service, and a calm dining environment makes this place truly special. Easily a 10/10 experience.

Since moving back from the northeast, we've been looking for good momos that we don't have to trek to Irving for. Thankfully we've found a delicious option!! Chili momo was nice and flavorful without being too spicy. Loved the fried momo with the chicken filling. Johl momo was the least favorite, bc it was just served in a bowl of the same sauce that was served with everything else. Steamed momo is always classic, and the veggie filling was great. Also got some basic palak paneer and butter chicken with rice and garlic naan, and all delicious which made awesome leftovers. Can't wait to come back up here! def work the drive up the tollway. Service was also super nice and attentive despite only two workers in the front, and the interior is decorated nice and there was an obvious commitment to keep the restaurant clean.
