Must try! We enjoyed our meal so much that it was gone in fractions. Sharing a quick video of tandoori salmon and picture of Noodles. Not sure if the video/pics do justice to the flavor and aroma of the dish. The service was prompt and excellent. The sitting has very unique vibe. Loved the invitng and spacious ambiance. Would definitely recommend it if you're craving for Nepalese food!

First time trying Nepalese cuisine. Obviously has Indian influences but then there are these delicious momo dumplings! So many dishes to try. A good social meal to eat family style. Friendly service and attentive. It's a little loud but it's fun to try especially if you enjoy an Indian flavor profile.

Awesome service. Nice happy hour deals. Spicy-tasty-appetizers. Great menu variety. Wonderful service. A little too dark in the restaurant. Maybe a little more air ventilation as well, but overall we had a great time. Next time I want to try more Nepalese food, but will be back soon.

I've never had Nepalese food so I didn't know what to expect. I made a comment to the server that their food is similar to Indian cuisine and she said BaseCamp is more of a fusion restaurant so I still don't know what Nepalese food is all about. $20 for a lunch buffet on a weekday is steep. I thought the variety is good, but the flavors weren't strong. There wasn't one dish in the buffet line that stood out. The best part about the dining experience was the Garlic Naan. Some of the best Naan I have ever had! You have to request it and they are made fresh.

Our receipt, we just wanted the experience to end and get out of here.

This place has so much potential -- and I truly hope they get it right. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The vibe is seriously cool -- relaxed, creative, and visually immersive. Large screens surrounded the space, there's a distinct energy and mood here that makes you want to stay, hang out, and enjoy yourself. The layout is spacious, and the design clearly had thought put into it. It's a place you walk into and think, "This could be my new spot." The food was decent -- somewhere between average and above average. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid enough. The presentation was excellent. Definitely not the problem. Unfortunately, the service really let everything down. From the very beginning, it felt like we were being ignored. No one stopped by to ask how we were doing, if we needed anything, or to check in on the food or drinks. The only time we interacted with the staff was when something finally arrived, to clear the table and subtly remind us it was time to pay. Our server seemed completely disengaged. No smile, no warmth, no interest in the table. We ordered drinks, and they took quite a while to show up. The bar was empty (A Friday evening) and the bar tender stood around - we hoped they knew we were waiting. When the beer finally arrived, it was warm -- room temperature. She casually told us it had just been put in the cooler. No apology, no effort to fix it, just a statement and a shrug. We ordered three beers in total, hoping things would get better. Sigh. They didn't. Throughout our visit, a small group of staff stood in the center of the restaurant chatting and looking bored. Meanwhile, we sat waiting -- first for drinks, then for food, and always wondering if anyone would check on us (they didn't). The food took over 30+ minutes to arrive (the appetizers), and then the entrees came out one dish at a time, not together. This place has everything else going for it: A unique, standout atmosphere, well-designed space, concept that feels fresh and different. But all of that gets lost when the service makes you feel unwelcome. The experience becomes uncomfortable. Bottom line: This place could be amazing -- but not yet.

Frisco Base Camp offers a cozy and inviting ambiance with a unique blend of traditional Nepalese and Tibetan decor. The decor includes beautiful murals and artifacts that reflect the rich culture and heritage of the Himalayas, well-maintained making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. I tried the Veg Chowmein, Veg Momos, himalayan Rocky Chat, and Jojo Chicken Momos. The chowmein was flavorful, the veg momos were tender, and the jojo chicken momos were crispy and juicy. The dishes were well-seasoned and delicious. The Mango Tango drink was refreshing and fruity, perfect for a summer evening. The service was friendly and attentive,The atmosphere was with traditional Nepalese and Tibetan decor adding to the ambiance. The prices were reasonable.

Empty buffet trays, no refills offered on drinks. No Naan on the buffet. We had almost finished eating when another server came by and asked if we wanted some naan. A little late. The food we did have was good. There are many more Indian restaurants in the area. We will be trying them.

    Goat Momo Platter

Amazing Nepali food and drinks! The momos with goat soup were hearty, the noodles flavorful, and the chicken sekuwa smoky and delicious. The house spiced rum was perfect for the cold warming, soothing, and just what my throat needed.

    Pani Puri - unusual appetizer.

Great food (Indian and Nepalese). Interesting ambiance and great service. Check their hours as they sometimes change.

Beware that they do not offer anyyyy complementary rice or roti or naan with their entree dishes that you order. The ambiance is elegant and cozy and I would recommend asking to get seated next to the windows and maybe go during sunset time. I was in love with the kebab platter! The chicken was perfectly made and was moist and each type of kebab had its unique flavor! 10/10 I also tried the butter chicken 8.5/10 and paneer tikka 7/10 masala which was very yummy! I preferred the butter chicken over the paneer even tho I'm usually a paneer person!

I would give less than one star if possible. Our Mother's Day lunch was ruined by this restaurant's carelessness. We clearly told them our food had to be vegetarian. Instead, they served us meat instead of cauliflower. This is not a small mistake. This is exactly the kind of carelessness that can seriously harm someone. Today it was meat served to a vegetarian family with religious dietary boundaries. Tomorrow it could be an allergen or something else that someone specifically said they could not eat. When we spoke to the owner, he did not take real responsibility. He said they were busy and that "something got overlooked." That is not acceptable. Food restrictions are not tiny details to overlook. After the appetizers, we did not want to complete our lunch there because we no longer trusted anything coming out of that kitchen. Once a restaurant serves the exact thing you clearly said you cannot eat, trust is gone. The attitude was just as bad as the mistake. No real apology. No accountability. Just excuses, as if we were wrong for being upset. If a restaurant cannot be trusted to serve what was clearly ordered, why should anyone trust what comes out of that kitchen? This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. We paid for what we ate because we wanted nothing free from a restaurant that treated us with this level of disrespect.

Note there are no paper menus so it will be a QR code. If you would like a drink, make sure you ask for that menu as once you scan the code, your waiter will scurry off. Nothing on the menu was explained to us and our dinner entrees were forgotten. There were 4 tables with anywhere from 4-6 people that came in well after us (30 minutes or so) and received their food before us. It was very frustrating. No apology was provided or anything to acknowledge, 'hey we're sorry, we made a mistake". Food - not worth the price. The only thing we liked was the aloo tikki chaat. The chili momos were good, but not our fav. The sheesh kabob was beyond dry. We even requested some chutney with it to see if it would help. It absolutely did not. The goat curry barely came with pieces of meat as it was primarily gravy or bones. The 'salad' that we were given cause I asked for chili peppers provided only 1 pepper and got charted $3 for it. ABSURD. There are no spice levels asked when you order food and the flavors just aren't there, nor is the spice. It is suppose to be Indian food - spice is what the cuisine is about! The only thing going for this place is the ambiance. I would not recommend as there are MANY other places for half the cost with better Indian food around DFW.
