Egg Chowmein

Must try! We enjoyed our meal so much that it was gone in fractions. Sharing a quick video of tandoori salmon and picture of Noodles. Not sure if the video/pics do justice to the flavor and aroma of the dish. The service was prompt and excellent. The sitting has very unique vibe. Loved the invitng and spacious ambiance. Would definitely recommend it if you're craving for Nepalese food!

First time trying Nepalese cuisine. Obviously has Indian influences but then there are these delicious momo dumplings! So many dishes to try. A good social meal to eat family style. Friendly service and attentive. It's a little loud but it's fun to try especially if you enjoy an Indian flavor profile.

Awesome service. Nice happy hour deals. Spicy-tasty-appetizers. Great menu variety. Wonderful service. A little too dark in the restaurant. Maybe a little more air ventilation as well, but overall we had a great time. Next time I want to try more Nepalese food, but will be back soon.

Lunch Buffet

I've never had Nepalese food so I didn't know what to expect. I made a comment to the server that their food is similar to Indian cuisine and she said BaseCamp is more of a fusion restaurant so I still don't know what Nepalese food is all about. $20 for a lunch buffet on a weekday is steep. I thought the variety is good, but the flavors weren't strong. There wasn't one dish in the buffet line that stood out. The best part about the dining experience was the Garlic Naan. Some of the best Naan I have ever had! You have to request it and they are made fresh.

Our receipt, we just wanted the experience to end and get out of here.

This place has so much potential -- and I truly hope they get it right. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The vibe is seriously cool -- relaxed, creative, and visually immersive. Large screens surrounded the space, there's a distinct energy and mood here that makes you want to stay, hang out, and enjoy yourself. The layout is spacious, and the design clearly had thought put into it. It's a place you walk into and think, "This could be my new spot." The food was decent -- somewhere between average and above average. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid enough. The presentation was excellent. Definitely not the problem. Unfortunately, the service really let everything down. From the very beginning, it felt like we were being ignored. No one stopped by to ask how we were doing, if we needed anything, or to check in on the food or drinks. The only time we interacted with the staff was when something finally arrived, to clear the table and subtly remind us it was time to pay. Our server seemed completely disengaged. No smile, no warmth, no interest in the table. We ordered drinks, and they took quite a while to show up. The bar was empty (A Friday evening) and the bar tender stood around - we hoped they knew we were waiting. When the beer finally arrived, it was warm -- room temperature. She casually told us it had just been put in the cooler. No apology, no effort to fix it, just a statement and a shrug. We ordered three beers in total, hoping things would get better. Sigh. They didn't. Throughout our visit, a small group of staff stood in the center of the restaurant chatting and looking bored. Meanwhile, we sat waiting -- first for drinks, then for food, and always wondering if anyone would check on us (they didn't). The food took over 30+ minutes to arrive (the appetizers), and then the entrees came out one dish at a time, not together. This place has everything else going for it: A unique, standout atmosphere, well-designed space, concept that feels fresh and different. But all of that gets lost when the service makes you feel unwelcome. The experience becomes uncomfortable. Bottom line: This place could be amazing -- but not yet.

Frisco Base Camp offers a cozy and inviting ambiance with a unique blend of traditional Nepalese and Tibetan decor. The decor includes beautiful murals and artifacts that reflect the rich culture and heritage of the Himalayas, well-maintained making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. I tried the Veg Chowmein, Veg Momos, himalayan Rocky Chat, and Jojo Chicken Momos. The chowmein was flavorful, the veg momos were tender, and the jojo chicken momos were crispy and juicy. The dishes were well-seasoned and delicious. The Mango Tango drink was refreshing and fruity, perfect for a summer evening. The service was friendly and attentive,The atmosphere was with traditional Nepalese and Tibetan decor adding to the ambiance. The prices were reasonable.

Empty buffet trays, no refills offered on drinks. No Naan on the buffet. We had almost finished eating when another server came by and asked if we wanted some naan. A little late. The food we did have was good. There are many more Indian restaurants in the area. We will be trying them.

Goat Momo Platter

Amazing Nepali food and drinks! The momos with goat soup were hearty, the noodles flavorful, and the chicken sekuwa smoky and delicious. The house spiced rum was perfect for the cold warming, soothing, and just what my throat needed.

Pani Puri - unusual appetizer.

Great food (Indian and Nepalese). Interesting ambiance and great service. Check their hours as they sometimes change.

Dj night

Ideal place to hang out with friends and family. Cozy vibes, excellent food, friendly service and a full bar.

They also boast all the ingredients being locally sourced, which is also a fun concept. Note that parking can be limited, and you may need to park along the roads alongside. Our waitress was kind and welcoming for Mother's Day. We tried the chicken & spaetzel for my mom and the 1843 filet for myself. My steak was cooked well, I just wish it had been a bit more flavorful. My mom really liked her dish and I did as well. The chicken in particular was lovely. It did take us over 45 min to receive our food, but I attribute that to the busy holiday. The choco pie was huge and worth the amount I paid for it. The crust was prone to falling apart though so be prepared to make a mess! Speaking on my memories from 2 years ago, I'd gotten chicken piccata which had a sauce similar to the spaetzel. It was much better this time around, and didn't have red pepper, which I strongly dislike. The concept was very similar. At the time, my partner had gotten a meat pie of some kind that he still raves about. This was winter 2024, so not the same menu. Overall, it's a cute place and a cute concept. Note that A) this is not the place for someone picky, as the dishes are a bit experimental, and B) the prices are a bit above average. More of a special occasion type of place. Make sure you make a reservation!

Overall, would absolutely come back!

Our server was very helpful and kind. We ordered chicken karaage for starters and garlic chicken broth ramen as the main course. The serving size is quite big. I've had the pleasure of eating ramen in Japan and yeah, NO. The reason for the 1 star is because we were the first ones in at 11 and the waitress came in sneezing and wiping her nose with her hand, with her child in tow who by the way was all over the place and many times just standing at our table staring at us eat. I kept watching her to see if she would wash her hands or at least use hand sanitizer but she neglected to do either. The ramen: We ordered the spicy garlic pork shoyu and the spicy chicken broth ramen. The garlic pork ramen had 1 small piece of pork belly and the noodles while a great consistency, tasted like cardboard. The broth suffered from the lack of flavor. The chicken ramen was also pretty flavorless. The nerve of someone to compare this place to Ichiran lol. I will say, the service from the chef and the nose wiping waitress was pleasant but the grossness of her wiping her nose and touching every chair, bowl, utensils and eating her chips at the table across from us with her toddler is enough for us to never go back to this place even if it was the last ramen spot on the planet.

We arrived right as the kitchen was about to close, but they still graciously seated us and provided amazing, welcoming service. The restaurant was also incredibly clean. There is a QR code for the menu you scan with your phone. The food was fantastic across the board. The congee was pure comfort food, and the sesame balls were some of the absolute best I've ever had. They were served nice and warm, the filling wasn't overly sweet, and they weren't greasy at all like a lot of other places. I really liked how the soup dumplings all had individual foil wrappers - made it easy and mess free. Highly recommend!

The beef was so flavorful, and we loved it. So this time, we ordered it again. This time, we also tried the pork noodle soup. The pork was flavorful as well. It was pork belly, so the fat made the meat even more tender and savory. Both dishes were delicious! But of the two, we still liked the beef option better. The ordering process was completely digital. We scanned the menu code with our phones and then selected our dishes ourselves. There was very little "human" touch. I still prefer having a server come take our order, which also makes the tipping decision easier. Anyway, we enjoyed the food and will probably come back again.
