    Another pot with 'soul'..
    Sean A.

This place is fantastic! I work in Design and nothing makes me cringe more than seeing a home with great furniture and plants in terrible pots! It's difficult to find cool and interesting pots and vessels that don't cost a small fortune via an antique store or boutique import store. 'Dream Garden', is an incredible local-owned small business with a huge selection of every shape and size ranging from Modern to pieces with soul and character that look like they were purchased at auction. They also have great plants...I scored an amazing Australian bottle tree during my last visit (if you know...you know).

Excited for these to flower!!! :)

I ended up at this location because I was on the hunt for a medusa plant for my newly growing collection of succulents and cacti. There were so many plants to see that included both indoor and outdoor plants with a nice selection of planters too. I ran into two of the workers that informed me that the plant I was looking for just sold over the weekend (should have called ahead of time to check, but still wanted to check their selection out hehe). They did give us their number to call ahead about a week or so from now to ask about their stock again. I liked wandering around their selection of plant lofe because they did have some plants that I had only seen online. I ended up walking away with two cacti during my trip there and excited we to see them grow and flower, especially since one of the workers helped me pick out a cactus that will bloom purple flowers and had already started budding :) Hopefully will make a trip back here again to snag the medusa plant it want!!!

My partner wanted to adventure during phase 2 of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here was our experience on a Saturday morning. Parking: Street parking and maybe 3 or 4 parking spots inside. Feels: The surroundings are nice. It's a garden in the city of Los Angeles so the surrounding can get busy. The vibe itself is pretty nice, the garden is big with a range of plants - big, small, flowers, and cactuses. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great. The dude knew his plants and was pretty friendly. OVERALL: 4 Stars. I enjoyed my time here. This is a spot for plant enthusiasts and plants. Even if you're not a fan, there are a few good spots to sit and admire the plants. In a busy city going vibe, this is a pleasant calming spot. Tips: * Make time for parking * Call ahead of time to confirm some plants.

    Pretty cool!

I happened to see this place driving home while shopping at another garden spot and decided to stop. Incredible variety/types of plants. There were plants here I've never seen before or anywhere else....there are more outdoor plants then indoor ones, but still something for everyone....AND the pots! Very unique with all ranges of styles and materials....AND hanging out in a back corner were the fanciest pigeons I'd ever seen! The good: -free small parking lot in back (thank you!) -lots of variety -friendly employee helping when needed The bad: my only complaint is the majority of pots and plants had no pricing on it. I wish they'd write on the plastic container or a piece of tape the prices so we're not having to search for someone to ask. Other than this, I really like the place and will be back!

They carry large plants as well

Came here because I was in the area, just a little run down for my taste. A lot of interesting plants but most of them where in bad condition. Guess just expected more from a nursery... also a lot of the plants didn't have a price. Anyway I wouldn't be back.... But they do have some parking but hard to exit better park outside...

Businesses aren't always aptly named, but the paradise you'll find on the Northeast corner of Sunset and Highland (stretching to McCadden Pl) certainly deserves to be called the "Dream Garden". As soon as you walk in, you're immersed in towering, stunning plants: Bougainvillea, Mandevilla, flowering vines, exotic cacti, stunning trees unlike anything you'd see in the nursery section of the huge chains. There's even an indoor greenhouse that feels like you're in the rainforest. And if you need pots or planters, you'll find a rare selection of some of the finest, high quality items I've ever seen. But perhaps what makes this place most special is the owner, John. I rarely write reviews, but because of his knowledge, and his kind nature and excellent customer service, I wanted to take the time to steer others his way. I've been gardening all forty years of my life, but in the several months that I've been coming to the Dream Garden, I've learned so much from him. He's pointed me to a cutting edge soil that has even my most stubborn plants jumping for joy. He's taught me proper feeding and watering regimes, and how best to plant certain notoriously tricky plants. As a result, the garden at my music studio is booming and always fetches me compliments-- see pictures below. If you're looking for a place with exceptional quality, a knowledgeable and kind staff, a fantastic experience and fair prices, make sure to pop in for a visit at the Dream Garden!

This is literally my favorite plant shop hands down! Their outdoor selection is huge, and always have the best pots ever! I love the owners! They always greet me by my name and ask for the plants I've taken home! Thats pretty impressive counting I have over 30! The prices are always good and they don't go with the fads and up the price on a plant when they become "popular". They always offer tips and tricks, to repot the plant for you, and even drill holes on your pot if needed! I absolutely love this place!

The selection of plants isn't great and everything is horribly overpriced. Management could use some lessons in manners because customer service is badly lacking. The guy who helped me with my order was downright nasty. Apparently it wasn't just me because I also overheard him arguing with some poor guy in the back room. "Dream" garden... More like a nightmare!

My new cactus, just delivered by the kind fellow from Dream Garden, and ready to be repotted.

Mickey Hargitay Plants is the coolest little big plant store, plant nursery, garden center and serene landscaping places I've ever seen. Tucked away in Hollywood on the cusp of West Hollywood off of Sycamore Ave and Fountain Avenue, just a small skip east from La Brea Avenue. They're open from 9 AM until 5:30 PM all 7 days of the week. And carry plants, planters, gardening essentials and wonderoud things of all shapes and sizes. I've been passing by frequently for nearly two months on my way to work usually before they're open or after they're closed on as I make my way home and finally got to stop in and explore. Upon entering the property you are consumed with lush and rare greenery. I found many sought after plants and they were priced accordingly. There are many areas in their outdoor area as well as inside the greenhouse. Most plants have a price on the pot of on a tray if there are multiples. There is also a pottery shop although I didn't go in there. I could have easily left with a car full of plants but was able to exercise restraint and only left with a sweet Hoya Polyneura. **OK INDOOR HOUSE PLANT SELECTIONS IN CHINATOWN**…read more After eating at nearby Broadway Cuisine, we wandered into this garden shop while exploring the area. PARKING There are nearby lots, but we had street metered parking. Most likely limited, especially on weekends. AMBIANCE A typical Broadway storefront in the heart of Chinatown. The space is airy and bright, with natural light filtering in from above. PLANTS I purchased a 12" watermelon peperomia for $40. They didn't have the fiddle-leaf fig I was hoping to find. Credit cards are accepted. The overall plant selection is decent, and everything looked healthy. OVERALL The staff was pleasant but hands-off, not informative unless you ask. I didn't receive care instructions until I was practically out the door. Pricing leans medium-high (but reasonable), so this isn't a budget-friendly stop, but the quality is solid, and it's nice to support a local, family-owned business.

We had our hands full with leftovers, the boy, and the dog so we were firmly in the browse zone. Then Vik jumps in the mix, calls the boy kiddo and asks if he wants to pet some fish. At this point, I'm intrigued and want to see where this goes, and you know what? He pet some of the koi fish in the pond, I have to admit I haven't seen that before (Kiddo was too scared to try). But THEN he starts telling us about these two plants next to the pond -- Mexican Mint and Sage -- and how their smell repels mosquitos. Kiddo has a huge bug bite on his leg, so the sale was pretty much instant. I planted them in my backyard this afternoon. So, this four star review is a five because of Vic and his kid charming skills. Four stars is because I wish they had a few more native options, but I'll go back because Vik made the experience.

We hired them for a full backyard Reno with full wall of ficus trees, full DG backyard with gravel edges, and a wood fence. Everything was going smoothly with scheduling and communication. When the actual work got started, I noticed the DG was not high-quality. It contained a lot of large rocks. Also, they were not digging out enough dirt before laying the DG. I had to bring that up to the foreman and they did dig up some more dirt before laying the DG. When the work was done, a foreman did a quick walk-through with me and I thought everything looked good. We were told not to walk on the wet DG for a day or two. So two days later when I did a better inspection, I started to notice a lot of shotty work. Specifically with the bender board dividing the gravel and I noticed that they used really small nails for the wooden fence. They did come back a month later to fix the DG because there were areas that were "bouncy", as if not enough DG was laid down. They had to dig up big rocks that were preventing the DG from compacting and they laid more DG on some areas. They also tried to fix some bender board problems, but they did a really horrible job. Three months later, some wood planks on our wood fence start curving and popping up. I called the company because our DG and our fence are under a year warranty. Jake asked me to email him with photos and he said he would call back to schedule a day for repair. Since then I have not heard back from them; they have completely ghosted me. I waited a month then I started calling and no one will pick up the phone. I've left messages and I sent text messages to project manager, Amanda, who was great at communication at first, but now has completely ghosted me as well. Meanwhile, we're still paying monthly for this backyard that is falling apart way too quickly. I'm going to just hire someone to fix the fence before it damages further. I would not recommend them again. Completely overpriced for what you get.
