Just drive up college street towards Jade Wok and there's plenty of metered parking north of hill street. That's a 3 min walk. PARKING There are nearby lots, but we had street metered parking. Most likely limited, especially on weekends. AMBIANCE A typical Broadway storefront in the heart of Chinatown. The space is airy and bright, with natural light filtering in from above. PLANTS I purchased a 12" watermelon peperomia for $40. They didn't have the fiddle-leaf fig I was hoping to find. I asked to buy a Pyrite cub they had and was told that it was for sale. I told the girl that was helping that I would like to buy it. When she took it from the display case the other person there he told her that she couldn't sell it to me because it belonged to the Boss. I don't understand how you can have merchandise for sale and then all of a sudden it belongs to the Boss? They lost out on a way more larger purchase then just one item. Plants: The plants looked healthy and well taken care of. The leaves appeared vibrant and nourished. Plenty of varieties to choose from. One of my fav go-to places for houseplants in LA. Everyone there is super nice and helpful! They always have a great selection of different common and uncommon/rare houseplants and cacti at a reasonable price point. I also love the planters they have available - many beautiful ones in different sizes and style. There are so many parking around the area too! I spotted this location from the car as we were heading towards one of our favorite dim sum restaurants a few blocks down. I was already in a hunting mode for plants since we had stopped by the Flower District earlier in downtown LA and was still wanting either more plants or new planters to bring home. I didn't visit before covid restrictions but I appreciate the way they have almost everything set up outside and covered so you can shop comfortably. They have very organized racks of plants that make it easy to browse. There is always a great selection of healthy plants and they are very well priced! I'm so confused. Maybe it's because I came during December that there were not that many plants but this place was smaller than I thought and had less plant choices than Home Depot. I thought I would at least find one semi rare plant but no. I really thought this place would be bigger. It's literally two shelves of plants. :/. I drove an hour through traffic to come here also. Jimmy, Sunday, and Sugar (the store owners) are always so welcoming whenever I visit and because I go so often, it feels like I'm just visiting my friends and while adding on to my plant family.
