PARKING There are nearby lots, but we had street metered parking. Most likely limited, especially on weekends. AMBIANCE A typical Broadway storefront in the heart of Chinatown. The space is airy and bright, with natural light filtering in from above. PLANTS I purchased a 12" watermelon peperomia for $40. They didn't have the fiddle-leaf fig I was hoping to find. Credit cards are accepted. The overall plant selection is decent, and everything looked healthy. OVERALL The staff was pleasant but hands-off, not informative unless you ask. So I came to the store she purchased the tree from and found that the quality was great just like hers. This plant spot is great for small gifts like a $10 plant or a thousand dollar Australian tree! They're pretty amazing and he has a great selection. Parking is not that hard. Just drive up college street towards Jade Wok and there's plenty of metered parking north of hill street. That's a 3 min walk. Or try the lot by Bruce Lee statue ($5) or get a slice at La Sorteds and park in their $5 lot. Or go to the atm across the street at Bank of America and get validated. So many options. I asked to buy a Pyrite cub they had and was told that it was for sale. I told the girl that was helping that I would like to buy it. When she took it from the display case the other person there he told her that she couldn't sell it to me because it belonged to the Boss. I don't understand how you can have merchandise for sale and then all of a sudden it belongs to the Boss? They lost out on a way more larger purchase then just one item. KimThai is my favorite nursery in the Los Angeles area. They have a great selection and that makes it difficult for me to choose plants. I have to remember to pace myself because I'm a newbie plant mom and still learning not to kill plants on a regular basis. Jimmy was really helpful each time I visited and was able to describe each plant I was interested in, from the name of the plants down to their temperaments and recommended watering schedules. Their prices are very reasonable. They have different price points and of varying sizes so you can select plants based on your budget. One of my fav go-to places for houseplants in LA. Everyone there is super nice and helpful! They always have a great selection of different common and uncommon/rare houseplants and cacti at a reasonable price point. I also love the planters they have available - many beautiful ones in different sizes and style. There are so many parking around the area too! Through the great community of Yelp, I found this amazing nursery and like probably 90% of people during this pandemic, became an indoor plant mom Parking: it's Chinatown, so it's limited street parking, or there's a parking lot RIGHT next door for $5 (weekday when I went, not sure about weekend pricing) and I'm ok with paying $5 because i was looking around for a while and then there's a dim sum place right across the street I picked up treats from Customer service: immediately was greeted by jimmy, then Sunday and also Sugar later...all so nice and super patient with a newb like me..who didn't know what I was looking for really and had a lot of anxiety of killing them as soon as i bought them...but they didn't crowd and let u browse comfortably and they're always nearby if you have questions...even after, I was able to get in touch with them on IG and they guided me on how to care for my plant that the leaves started yellowing and now there's new baby leaves every couple days Selection: from what I can see, the plants all look super healthy and there's a huge selection, basic and exotic looking...on the sidewalk, to the side of the building, inside, and even like a secret room in the back that had much bigger older ones like FLOWING POTHOS that looks AMAZING...they also sell cute pots that they were nice enough to repot for me which doubled as educating for me Pricing: not sure if the pricing is high or low honestly really but from another nursery I visited...seems decent given I bought 2 plants (one small one medium) and two pots with draining plates (medium and large size) and it cost $58 Payment: tbh don't remember about cash, but for sure contactless payment and they also do Venmo The customer service alone will bring me back..I'm sure it's a family business and they're so sweet I'd love to continue to support a small business read more

I'm so confused. Maybe it's because I came during December that there were not that many plants but this place was smaller than I thought and had less plant choices than Home Depot. I thought I would at least find one semi rare plant but no. I really thought this place would be bigger. It's literally two shelves of plants. :/. I drove an hour through traffic to come here also. In the past I've tried to get a hold of someone to ask about plant selection but I couldnt reach them. I'm starting to think some of these reviews are fake. Someone was saying something about money trees being sold out... I seriously doubt that many people are into these trees.
